About this cabin rental
Montana, 'come for a week, stay for a lifetime'. From the time you walk through the front door of your cozy Montana cabin you will immediately feel at home. As you walk through the door, your eyes are immediately drawn to the river flowing just outside the large view windows which open up to a breathtaking view of the river and surrounding mountains.
The Kitchen is just to the right with all the amenities you will need for your stay. The bathroom is directly across from the kitchen with a shower/tub ensemble. The tub is great for relaxing soaks at the end of a long day hiking. There is a stackable washer/ dryer set up for your convenience.
The living room is cozy and very comfortable with a queen size sofa sleeper and a comfortable oversized chair . There is a small dinning table for two/three and two barstools seated at the counter for additional seating. There is a wood burning stove for those chilly evenings or romantic firelight nights.
The master bedroom is an open loft with jawdropping views of the river and mountains below. The entire back side of the cabin that faces the river is large view windows allowing for that open to nature feeling.
While the Cabin is perfectly set up for couples and romantic getaways, it is just a comfortable for a small family, small group of fishermen, or two close knit couples.
This cabin is available for rental on its own for a few weeks in May, Sept, and Oct. The rest of the season it can be rented in conjunction with the Riverside Retreat which is vrbo #1473426vb
The Cabin is fully stocked with paper products, coffee and tea.
There are walking sticks for hiking and bear spray. When the water level is safe for floating we can provide innertubes.
Dave (the owner) is occasionally available to give personal tours through the park. He owns and operates Rocky Mountain Guide Service. He has 30 years plus experience hiking the park and has an in depth knowledge of wildlife and animal behavior.
This is a PET FREE Cabin. There are many new babies born on and around this property. A fawn can die from being chased by dogs. This is their home and we must protect them. We do have Pet Friendly options available through another vrbo owner. Check out her pet friendly cabins at:

This cabin was beyond what we expected and saw in the pictures. From the little touches of the pictures and the tic-tac-toe board to the incredible views of the Yellowstone river and the mountains and you sit on the couch or even in the bed! We will be back and will 100% recommend this location to everyone!

The property is so beautiful! You couldn’t find a more peaceful setting . We explored Yellowstone during day and enjoyed returning to the cabin each evening. We found the cabin to be clean, comfortable and well-stocked. It was quite easy to find and convenient to local restaurants and attractions. I do hope we can return soon!

My husband and I greatly enjoyed our stay in this lovely and very well located home. It has everything one needs, and stunning views of the mountains and of Yellowstone River flowing by.
A couple of useful notes: first, the house has no AC. We were there during a heat wave, so even with the fans that the owners of the property had running, it was a bit too hot at night. However our last night temperatures were back to normal and we were able to cool the house to agreeable temperatures.
Secondly, I did not realize there was another house so close by - I believe it is the owners' - but that may just be that I didn't read the reviews and information carefully, and in any case, the house still felt very private and we were very comfortable in it.
Paradise Valley is stunning and we definitely plan to be back. When we do, we would love to stay at this property again!

Had a wonderful three night stay, the Fishing Cabin was all that we hoped it would be and then some. Comfortable and clean....great location and a real great place to "kick out" and relax. Great Location to both Livingston and the Pray/Emigrant area....

This is a very nice little cabin in a great spot on the Yellowstone River. We enjoyed our time on the backporch overlooking the river as boats floated by. Everything was easy and straightforward and we had a great time here in the Paradise Valley.

Paradise Valley at It’s Best
This property was absolutely perfect for our Paradise Valley stay. I’m a fisherman and we stayed for a couples retreat to celebrate my fiancé’s birthday. The cabin has a nice charming feel and offers seclusion on the banks of the Yellowstone River with magnificent Mountain views.

Peaceful Pray
What a wonderful way to wrap up our time in Montana. The cabin was so charming. Host was very communicative throughout process and stay. We were fortunate to have deer on the property and enjoyed the deck time watching them...as well as boaters floating down the river. Would stay again! Also a great location if visiting Yellowstone or Livingston.

Perfect and peaceful
Wow! The Fishing Cabin was perfect! It was clean, comfortable and well stocked! The view of the river and mountains were amazing. We had a mule deer doe and her two fawns hanging around on the property the entire time we were there. We sat on the deck while they grazed on the lawn, doesn’t get much better than that! We had a four night stay and enjoyed every minute of it. It was unseasonably warm for this time of year but measures were taken to regulate temperatures inside and keep it comfortable. Dee Dee was very responsive and helpful to our special little requests :) We will definitely return to this property. Its a small, open loft cabin but “lives big” so you won’t feel confined at all. Check it out for yourself!
Thanks from the TX roadtrippers

Beautiful piece of Heaven
Renting was the best thing we have ever done.
The cabin is situated next to the flowing Yellowstone. Wildlife is all around and the home is wonderful. Much thoughtful care has been given to ensure a comfortable stay. Amenities were abundant, drinks in fridge, toiletries, first care….. anything you might need.
I was so impressed.
The owners were working on the property when we arrived. They were so inviting, kind, and very pleasant.
I hope that we will return to this little piece of heaven in Pray

Quiet Weekend
Wonderful location and comfortable accommodation. We wanted a quiet weekend without TV and laptops. The wood stove was a nice touch. Owners very kind and helpful. One minor detail however, if you plan a winter trip, just know the area is a high wind zone during winter storms. The road into the property is not plowed on a regular schedule. We got drifted in after a winter storm. I made the mistake of driving our car that weekend. We had to get help shoveling and packing road down so that we could get out. Great place to be stuck however.

Beautiful cabin on river
This is a sweet cabin in a gorgeous location. Arrived to a warm fire already lit and fresh sweet rolls on the counter. Coffee and many breakfast options were available as well. Cabin was very clean with ample towels. Though the main bed was delightfully comfortable, the sofa beds were extremely uncomfortably. They did have a foam pad which helped a little bit. Also no tv on site which was fine with us but if you were hoping to curl up and watch your favorite show, you would be disappointed. Though in this beautiful place there is plenty to do so not having a tv was actually a very small issue.

Location, Location, Location
You are in the heart of Fly Fishing territory. The views from the cabin are amazing. The owners had the wood stove roaring and made brownies for our arrival. This is a fishing cabin on the river with awesome views. You can jump in the river right out the back door. Short drive to Yellowstone. Thanks, for letting us stay.

Romantic weekend in Livingston
This property is Heaven on Earth. It absolutely took my breath away and could not have been more perfect. Adorable Cozy cabin that had all the amenities of home. The views of the mountains and the river were absolutely spectacular. I will definitely stay here again and highly recommend this property. The owners were incredibly responsive to my questions prior to our visit.

Incredible Place to stay.
What a wonderful experience. They could not nicer or easier to stay with but the place is perfect. Staying here on our wedding night and they left dinner in the fridge for us. We had not eaten for hours and were starving. This is definitely the best VRBO deal in our area and a gorgeous place to stay. Very cozy and quiet!

Fishing Cabin is awesome!
We loved our stay at this cute, cozy cabin. Beautiful view, quiet and peaceful. Everything was well stocked, plenty of towels, blankets, wood for fireplace, anything we needed was provided. The hospitality was the best of any place we've rented. Crockpot of amazing chili, cornbread, dessert and even cold beer in refrigerator was waiting for us upon arriving. The owner always responded quickly to any questions and provided great info on the area. Chico Hot Springs was only a 15 min drive. A must if you are there. We'd love to return for a longer stay in the future! Thank you ♡

We spent a wonderful five days in September at the fishing cabin with beautiful views of the river, wildlife and surrounding mountains. Great location, wonderful amenities. We enjoyed every minute if our stay and found ourselves just wanting to be at the cabin on the deck watching all sorts of watercraft go by and soaking up the light show that is the valley! Great cabin right on the Yellowstone River
Great views in all directions. This cabin was perfect for our Montana vacation in Paradise Valley. My wife and I stayed for 3 nights in mid September. We spent one day on a fly fishing float trip on the Yellowstone River and the next day enjoying Yellowstone Park. We purchased a couple of delicious meals from our hosts and thoroughly enjoyed them each evening (along with some fabulous brownies) as we came back to relax and watch the sun go down over the river and Paradise Valley. We definitely want to come back.
Thanks,
Tom and Roxann

Nice vacation place
Great place for my wife and I to spend the week. The cabin was very nice for the two of use. Spectacular views of the mountains and river, not to mention the deer and osprey. Although the river is in the back yard I think the osprey have depleted the fish population! Or it could be my fly fishing skills.
The only negative I can think of is that the wifi is really weak, had a difficult time watching MLB on the iPad. Other than that minor inconvenience I'd give it a 5.

Perfect cabin on the river
This property was the perfect spot to stay. We had multiple animal visitors. My daughter caught her first fish (a brook trout) in the back yard. The property is private, quiet, and fully stocked with most everything you could ask for. The owners were so responsive.

Magnificent
Only improvement would be to upgrade the sofa-bed to a blow up type mattress. The existing mattress is very uncomfortable.

Adorable cabin
House was adorable and well stocked. Homemade cookies greeted us! Views were breathtaking...we were sad to not be able to fish in the river out back (snow melting made it wild) and not have a fire in the fire pit (dry conditions) otherwise our stay was great

Quintessential log cabin on the Yellowstone River with amazing views.
To be clear it’s worth noting that it had snowed 2 days before our arrival in late September. The result being snow on the mountains and on the ground in some parts of YSNP, beautiful!
The cabin is right on the Yellowstone River. Sitting in the cabin or on the deck you look across the river, neighboring farms, visiting deer and osprey to the Absaroka Mountains and Emigrant Peak topped with snow while watching the fly-fishing boats and paddle boarders float by. Its not called Paradise Valley by accident.
The cabin was perfect for the 2 of us. DeeDee and Megan are very through and thoughtful in providing for their guests. Staring with welcoming pastries and orange juice. The refrigerator and cupboards are well stocked with basics and the kitchen is like wise well equipped with necessary equipment. There is even a washer and dryer. Plenty of firewood and extra blankets, maps, cooler, broachers and recommendations, even bear spray for hiking upon request (yes we did see a bear in YSNP).
During our stay we did a couple of hikes to local waterfalls. Went to YSNP for a day (great time of year as crowds are down but wild life still roaming around). Did a guided float of the river, hung out at the Wildflour Bakery and had dinner at the Yellowstone Valley Grill. We also spent 2 days vegetating on the deck enjoying the views.
A perfect week … just a little short.
