About this house rental
Gorgeous, modern, beach farmhouse is waiting for you to come and enjoy! This fully renovated home has access to a private beach just 4 houses away! Open floor plan with high ceilings makes this home a retreat. This home offers 3 bedrooms, 1 full bathroom, ceiling fans, central air conditioning and an outdoor, private shower. The home has a fenced in bluestone patio with an outdoor kitchen with built in gas grill and a wood burning fire pit. There is an outdoor table with 4 dining chairs, Adirondack chairs and umbrellas.
The kitchen comes fully stocked with a microwave, oven, dishwasher, dishes, pots and pans, baking sheets, Keurig K-cup coffee machine, toaster, cutting boards, utensils, glasses, mugs and platters. There are the basics to get you started including dish soap, toilet paper, dishwasher tablets, cleaning supplies and paper towels. There is a table and 5 chairs in the breakfast nook.
Master bedroom has a queen size bed, luxury linens, full closet, 2 dressers, ceiling fan and TV. First guestroom has a full size bed, Pottery Barn bedding, closet and ceiling fan. Second guestroom has full size bed, Pottery Barn bedding, full closet and ceiling fan. The house also comes with fresh linens on all of the beds and bath towels for your use.
Living room has TV, board games, ceiling fan, vaulted ceilings, couch, 2 overstuffed chairs and 2 Chippendale chairs. The home also has WIFI.
Basement has a full size washer and dryer for your convenience.
Beach chairs, cooler, sand toys, kayak, boogie boards, Razor scooters and beach umbrellas are all available for your use. 4 beach towels are also provided for your convenience. You can literally just pack you flip flops and bathing suits an arrive!
We provide a guide book to allow you to have the most comfortable and enjoyable stay. We have 2 driveways which is rare for a shore home.
3 minute drive to downtown Madison, Surf Club, the Madison Beach Hotel, shops and restaurants.
Stroll along the beach to fish or walk to the Madison Surf Club to enjoy a large playground, snack bar and public beach. Walk or bike into the town of Madison where you will find restaurants, coffee shops, the famous R.J. Julia bookstore, art galleries, cinema, unique shops and other essentials. Drive ten minutes to outlet stores or to the Shoreline East Train that will take you to Grand Central Station, New York. Nearby tourist attractions include Thimble Island tours, Thimble Island Brewing Co., Stony Creek Brewery, Chamard Vineyards, pick your own fruits at Bishop's Orchards, Mystic Seaport and Aquarium, Submarine Force Museum in Groton, Essex Steam Train and Riverboat Ride and Hammonasset Beach State Park. Our home is located just 2 miles from historic downtown Madison and 3.5 miles from downtown Guilford.

This is the perfect place for a getaway. It is close to town, block away from the beach and the house is beautiful. It has everything you need. It is very clean and the beds are so comfortable. I would def go here again!

We had a wonderful stay at this wonderful beach house just a short walk from the Long Island sound. It was perfect location for anything from a beach day to exploring Madison or even taking the train to NYC for the day. The house was immaculate and had all the essentials to make our stay more than fantastic. We will definitely be back again.

This was a little hidden and out of the way gem for our family vacation, very clean and comfortable and a nice quiet location. Easily sleeps 6 with 3 bedrooms, beds were comfortable, nicely decorated. Although at time we didn't get a chance to try out the backyard due to poor weather, it looked like it would be a great area to have an outdoor bbq and sit around a fire pit, nicely fenced in to have your own privacy. Bring your own coffee or tea or favourite beverage as it's not supplied. Close to the beach area. We stayed here to attend Yale Grad, so it was a 25-minute trip to downtown New Haven, easy access to I95, easy to drive in and out. And if you're not in a hurry suggest taking the scenic route to your destinations very pretty countryside drive. Madison is a cute little community in the middle between New Haven (south) and Hartford (north), with a nice selection of restaurants and other amenities to choose from. Nice getaway from the hustle and bustle of New Haven or Hartford. Highly recommended as your next VRBO experience for the area.

Great little place to enjoy a visit to Madison

I chose this well appointed, modern, clean and comfortable home for a visit to Madison over a long fall weekend. It was super easy to get connected for a few work meetings. And once they were out of the way, I got to enjoy downtown Madison and downtown Guilford as both were only a short drive. The host has anticipated and provided for anything a guest might need and made herself available should anything unexpected have come up (nothing did). I would absolutely recommend and hope to return.

The luxurious bedding, comfy couch, cheerful breakfast nook and lovely landscaping were among the many reasons we loved returning after exploring this scenic coastal area, including the charming neighborhood! A quiet, cozy, modern, house with quality throughout in a quiet, beautiful small community, in a beautiful New England town with lots to do and (heaven for me) a pizza spot (Grand Apizza)) owned by the Nuzzo family of New Haven pizza fame!

We stayed in the this home for three nights over Thanksgiving -- my partner and I, and my grown son. During the day another grown son hung out with us. The house is immaculate, beds comfortable, neighborhood quiet, lovely, short walk to private beach which was even nice to see in winter. Because it's only a one bath house (though the bath and particularly the vanity are spacious), it's not really suitable for more adult folks. Would be great for a family with small kids. Gina is a great host and we are likely to return.

Charming little house!
Small but mighty, this little home has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Immaculate and well stocked, quiet and snug. We were there in winter, so couldn't enjoy beach amenities, but the house was cozy and comfortable to return to after family visits with extended family. Kitchen has all you need, bedrooms have plenty of space and there is a convenient laundry downstairs which helps to limit the packing needed for the trip. Lovely location, steps from beach. close to Madison and Guilford. Quiet and private. Gina very available whenever we had questions. Will come back for sure!

I can’t say enough great things about this rental. From the location to the owner….it was all five star. I want to own this home. It was cozy and elegant at the same time. The home was so clean and beautifully decorated. Even the refrigerator was sparkling clean. Everything you’ll need to enjoy this home is provided. From Pottery Barn bedding in the master, to a basket of snacks and a welcome text/check in from the owner. The pluses are many…. bikes, firewood, beach chairs and a welcome binder that was very helpful. I highly recommend this rental.

Not your typical beach cottage
If you’ve ever stayed in a typical beach cottage you know they can be old, tired and musty. This cottage is nothing like that. It is much more like an updated home. It’s immaculate, well appointed, has central air, flat screen TVs, washer/dryer and a lovely, sunny kitchen. This is the second time we’ve stayed in this home and we’re very selective about where we stay!

Beautiful, Updated and comfy home!
We loved the house and how modern and clean it was! The extra amenities (beach chairs, wagon, toys, boogie boards and bikes) Gina had available for us was an added bonus! The A/C is hard to come by on the shoreline and it was very much needed during our stay! Great home!

Great place!
Such a great place! Gina is amazing, and so is the house! Everything was just like the pictures and extremely clean. The house is in a really cute neighborhood and very close to the beach. Definitely looking forward to going back.

Wonderful staycation
Myself, my husband and our two young children stayed at this property to get away for the first time since Covid and to celebrate my husband’s 40th birthday. We were so impressed with how CLEAN the entire home was. Everything is brand new, the decor is coastal and calming and the owner had gone above and beyond with a gift basket of goodies, a binder of information, and had supplies available for our stay, from hand soap to paper towels. She was so professional and also readily available to answer any questions we had during our stay. Very impressed!
The small private beach is just a short walk. The kids loved playing in the sand! The outdoor shower at the property was a perfect addition to wash away the beach sand before entering the home. We would highly recommend this property for a relaxing quiet vacation. We also ordered takeout from Clam Castle, Christies and Parthenon Diner and the food was so amazing at each place. Great stay all around!

This home is far roomier than it's square footage let's on. It is beautifully designed with delightful and sophisticated nautical decor. The back yard bbq patio and fire pit is where we had such fun family nights. Gina was an exceptional hostess.

great house, great location, great town
The house was perfect for my fall extended stay in CT. IT was very clean and had lots of light. The owner is very helpful. You can walk to a small beach nearby. you can drive 5-10 min to the town center which is great--bookstore, coffee shop, theater, shopping.

Lovely Stay in Madison
My husband, our two year old twins, my mother in law, and I stayed at this home for a few nights before heading to visit family. The house is just as described. It is very clean and the decor is tasteful. The whole demeanor of the home encourages relaxation.
The private beach at the end of the road was perfect to take the girls to for quick play sessions. We had a wonderful time in Madison. The town has much to offer in the way of restaurants, beaches, the state park, and cute shops.
I had to contact Gina a couple times with minor questions and she responded immediately each time. The whole stay really could not have gone any better. I wholeheartedly recommend this home and Madison.

Outstanding beach home, beautifully furnished, steps from the beach
I can't say enough about this beautiful home, just a short 3-5 minute walk to the private Association's beach, and a short drive into Madison, or to get onto 95. The home is: bright and sunny with lots of windows (and air conditioning too), impeccably clean, looks recently and very tastefully renovated, comfortable furniture and beds, kitchen with granite counters/stainless appliances, charming breakfast nook with dining table and fireplace, large outdoor patio with lounge chairs/fire pit/dining table/outdoor grill and refrigerator/outdoor shower. We also loved the quiet neighborhood.
The owner is very attentive, including providing a detailed welcome notebook with recommendations of places to eat/things to do in the area and a welcome basket of snacks. When we didn't see the beach towels she replied to my text almost immediately and we found the towels. (There are also beach chairs, a kayak and other beach items.) The owner is a pleasure to interact with and genuinely seems to want her guests to enjoy their stay. We will definitely return to this home!
