We couldn’t have been more happy with our stay. The house and location were just beautiful. Our host Robin was considerate and responsive with all her communication. Wilfred her in-law looked in on us and generously made sure we had everything we needed. Thank you for helping make our family reunion a wonderful time.

Three generations, 6 adults and 4 children ranging from 3 years to 4 months. My little grandson summed it up beautifully “this is the best vacation ever”. The accommodations were perfect for us both inside and out.
The kitchen is well supplied with everything we needed, great open concept especially having young children. The swing set was a huge hit and also the abundance of toys to choose from. We loved sitting on the deck facing the water especially when the sun was setting. The paddle board and kayaks were another hit with easy access to the water.
We would love to return some day.

Private, clean , spacious and well stocked for all our needs ! The two floors were terrific to provide lots of room for babies, children and adults . The bedrooms were comfy and cosy with bathrooms that came in handy for all of us. Their were toys, games and activities provided and that made our stay so enjoyable. The outside area was perfect with a fun swing set, lots of room to run around, water play and bonfires! Lots of fun and special memories for our entire family!
Thank you very much. We would highly recommend this stay to anyone!!👍 Robert and Betty Rose Landry

We absolutely love this place. It's big, comfortable, and right on the water. This is our third time staying here.
Communication with Robin is fantastic, and she is always a perfect host.
And there is now wifi, which is great!

Amazing property and hosts !
We are a large group of friends who wanted to ride our motorcycles around the Cabot Trail. West Tracadie Island was the perfect spot for us. It was close to the Canso Causeway, had enough beds for everyone in our party, a large driveway to park our 2 cars, 2 trucks, 2 trailers and 7 motorcycles. The house was immaculate and the caretakers Della and Wilf were absolutely wonderful. They are so friendly and helpful, just all around terrific people. Thank you Robin for allowing us to stay at your house !

Family Gathering
This is a beautiful property that is well maintained and is everything it is advertised to be. Our family of 9 had plenty of space, they had lots of toys to keep the both the kids and the grownups amused, and the hospitality of both Robin and Della is great. We definitely recommend this vacation home.

Stay for the sunsets!
What a wonderful stay! The cottage is large with a clean, well stocked kitchen, with every pot, pan, dish etc. you need. The open concept kitchen and living room was bright and beautiful overlooking the water with a huge sofa. The bathrooms were large, two with showers, one with shower and bath. The only suggestion I would make is to add some anti slip stickies to the showers. I am disabled and found it a bit scary to balance because the shower floors were slippery, although there was a small handle to hold onto. It was great to have the washer and dryer on the main floor too. The master bedroom is a dream with a super comfortable king sized bed , a walk-in closet and a huge bathroom! I loved waking up with beautiful views of the ocean and the pines (you can watch the sunsets there also). All the bedrooms are clean and the decor was beautiful (I felt like I was in Martha Stewart’s beach house!) There is plenty of room for loads of people. I loved having my coffee sitting out on the huge deck overlooking the water. They have thought of everything in the house, we wanted for nothing! There is a lovely deck on the waters edge with plenty of seating. You will definitely need water shoes because it’s rocky and oysters are abundant (hint…collect a bunch and boil them up for a fresher than fresh appetizer) but we had great swim sessions. I would say that best thing we experienced was the sunset we saw while out kayaking (there are three kayaks and a paddle board for use), incredibly peaceful! We LOVED our stay, highly recommended!

Relaxing
We stayed at this property for our mandatory 14 day self isolation and we couldn’t have found a better property to remain on! Clean, comfortable, with enough property to roam and beautiful views to look at. Lovely and helpful owners. We would recommend without hesitation!

Private, beautiful getaway, great for families.
This is a great spot. A rugged drive on a thin dirt road (I recommend navigating in daylight lol!), brings you to a lovely, beautiful, pristine home with toys, swing set and games for the whole family. Not to mention, a big fire pit and chopped wood. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need. Bring water shoes if planning on swimming. It’s a bit of a muddy beach, but with fun stuff for the kids to look at like starfish, snails and Oysters and a little island close enough to swim to. We loved this place :).

Beautiful family friendly property
We had 3 small families meet for a 3-day weekend to make up for a vacation we missed due to COVID. This property exceeded our expectations of our staycation!
The cottage was absolutely gorgeous and our kids were so excited from the moment we walked it.
The outdoor swing set and toys, various children indoor doors and child’s kayak were all huge hits. They loved running around on the huge property which was just far enough away from the beach that we did not have to worry.
Everything we needed (and way more) was there, including pantry/condiment items that we had forgot to bring ourselves. After the kids were in bed we enjoyed watching sunset on the large patio and playing outdoor games ourselves.
Highly recommend this family friendly cottage. We will be back 😊

We Love it Here!
This is our second trip here and we love it!! The house is beautiful, spacious, VERY clean, and has everything we needed! The wharf spot and private beach are our favourites - but I'll admit the playset was a hit with us too! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to anyone - it is just an all around beautiful spot!

Great Family holiday
We had a great time staying at Robin's home. It was even better than the photos.
Everyone had a comfortable place to sleep, lots of space for lawn activities and family meals.
Robin was always quick to answer questions and helped us plan some of our activities (fishing).
Overall - great stay!

Perfect spot for girl’s getaway weekend .
4 nights, 5 b/r and 3 baths was the set up we needed. Enjoyed the water views, had a campfire one night, used the kayak’s
An indoor fireplace of some sort would have been nice for the chilly evenings and some damp cold days.

A diamond in the rough
This couldn' have been better for our first 4 days in Nova Scotia. The house was fantastic. Everything was clean, the rooms were spacious, everything was in working order and the view was tremendous. There is a great place for a bonfire and the kayaks were great to have to go for a nice leisurely cruise . And the new deck down by the water which wasn't there when we booked our vacation was a very pleasant surprise. What a great place to watch our first Nova Scotia sunset. And I can,t say enough good things about our hosts Wilfred and Della. They were so delightful and welcoming. Being that we had three fishermen in our group we asked Wilfred about any opportunities there and he set us up with three fishing poles and gave us a great fishing spot where we caught numerous striped bass and what a great place to fish. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. We had a truly great and wonderful experience there. Thank you Wilfred, Della and Robin.

Best vacation rental we have had
The house was perfect for our family reunion and the hosts were amazing. There was very little that was not provided. The family had a blast in the water and I had success fishing. Wildlife was abundant. Sunrises and sunsets galore, a photographer's dream here and elsewhere along the coast. The house was spotless. It was secluded and very quiet. I would not hesitate in recommending this rental for groups of 8 to 10. We had 10 in total and it was very comfy. The location was central to Antigonish and Cape Breton, plus a convenient drive to the PEI ferry. Could not have been any better!

Beautiful Spot Beautiful view
House is new & can accommodate a group or large family gathering. Property is well maintained.
Location is very rural. Only negative is the road to get to the house. It is dirt and rocks (about 1km). Enjoyed our stay. It is a 4.5 star

Exceptional Home!
What a great place this is! The house is amazing, bright, and cozy - lots of bedrooms and beds to choose from! The deck is lovely, and one could very easily get used to having their own private beach! We had the kayaks out, and the weather was great. We had someone guide us in, which was a good idea - I think we would have gotten lost on the Island without help! But as remote as it is, it is definitely worth the drive. When the tide is out you can beachcomb the area by the house, as well as the beach before the causeway. Robin was awesome to deal with, and Lisa and Ronnie were really helpful too! Tip: If you store your drinks in the wine fridge, remember to grab them when you leave - It looks like we weren't the only ones who forgot! :-)

Beside the Sea
This home away was a wonderful respite as we were traversing Nova Scotia and PEI. While about 15 miles from Antigonish, it provided a wonderful location from which to see that area and begin our journey on the Cabot Trail. This home away is fairly new, open concept and lots of light everywhere. The views from the deck are spectacular, as they are from several other rooms in the home. We were three couples sightseeing together, and the home provided enough space for us to relax and enjoy some homemade meals in the large dining area while on our journey.
My only comment to Robin would be to let folks know they need to purchase their food supplies prior to checking into the home away, as it is a distance from the major shopping areas.
Were we to visit the area again, we would definitely stay at Tracadie Island.

Beautiful house, amazing views!
We had the most lovely weekend at this house. There was so much room for everyone (bedrooms very spacious) and the living rom /dinning room/ kitchen area was great for our family to all hang out together. The house is new, modern, well equipped, clean and beautiful. The deck is lovely to enjoy coffee ok in the morning or a cold beverage on in the afternoon. The views are absolutely stunning!! I would recommend staying here to anyone!
