We LOVED our stay here. This property is by far one of my favorite short term rentals ever. Comfortable, beautiful, clean and so well staocked. Highly recommend

The picture don't do it justice. We had an absolutely amazing time. Close enough to Sandpoint but are enough away to feel secluded and in our own. The deck is much larger than it looks and truly a treat to have coffee out on in the morning. Also not a far drive to any number of hiking trails and a short drive to rent a boat in how. Couldn't recommend this place more. Property owners were a wealth of knowledge and eager to ensure we had an enjoyable experience. 10/10

Serenity welcomed us as soon as we arrived. The peaceful solitude of this private oasis has breathtaking views overlooking the lake from the main rooms of the house as well as the immense deck. I felt complete with my camera ready to catch the next best shot, binoculars, and a good book about the west to laze away the day reading and watching the changing sky as a storm rolled in. The Merlin app is wonderful as the many song birds are a delight. Cooking was always preferred so as to continue the pleasure of being "home" and sharing the beauty together.

This is the dog friendliest place we have ever stayed. There was a large basket with a couple of dog toys, biscuits, poo bags, and food and water bowl. Yard is fenced.
Kitchen is fully stocked and very organized. Very good cookware and not yard sale leftovers. Deck has a view of lake. Very private and quiet.
Our second and probably not last stay.

Fantastic place to stay. Listing description was very accurate. Great communication from the owners throughout the whole process. Best stocked VRBO that we have ever stayed at. Location is peaceful. Does have an occasional train pass by but was no big deal. Only issue is when the trains occasionally blow the horn at night. just 15 mins to Sandpoint. Easy access. We will definately be back,

This was the most restful property. A wonderful place to get away from all the noise, look out onto the water and think. We enjoyed it every minute and will definitely be back.

Everything about this place is incredible. The location can’t be beat. Remote and peaceful, but close enough to where you need to be. The home is so well built and comfortable— we immediately felt at home and our vacation flew by. The views (no matter where you’re at in the house) are truly unbelievable. Bethany and Paul are so kind and really put the effort in to make everything easy. I asked for recommendations and Bethany provided many amazing ones! Snow tubing for $22 per person and a 4 hour day pass at Quinn’s Hot Springs (a beautiful two hour drive) for $18. I saw about 7-8 Bald Eagles and my favorite, a North American Pygmy Owl! We will def be back. Thank you so much Bethany & Paul!

My husband and I stayed here for our 17th wedding anniversary and it surpassed our expectations. We had the most amazing and relaxing time. The house was so clean and had everything we could possibly need. Floor to ceiling windows lined the back of the house and the views of the lake were breathtaking. We could not have had a better time if we had tried. Will definitely be going there again in the summer.

We absolutely loved our time at “Garden of Eagon”!! It was even more stunning in person than what we saw online. We didn’t want to leave and hurriedly returned each day as our business in Sandpoint wrapped up to take in the views and relax. The house is very comfortable and nicely appointed, but we really just spent our time on the deck and hardly used the rest of the home! We are definitely planning to make a return trip in the future!

This, without a doubt, is the best place in the Universe. There is no better VRBO than Paul and Bethany’s place. If you want a ZEN experience that is perfection, book this place.

This was our second time staying at this property and both times were great! The view is awesome. We say several bald eagles land in the trees right off the deck. The last hill to the property was slick as it was snowing when we arrived but the house had shovels and gravel to help.

My wife and I stayed at the Garden of Eagen in early November. It was a wonderful experience. The solitude, the beautiful views of the lake, the time spent in the hot tub watching bald eagles fly by, the intimate conversations we had sitting by the cozy gas fireplace all combined for the best together time we have had for a long time. The property is beautiful and the house was unbelievably well stocked with everything we needed. We would highly recommend the Garden of Eagen for any couple wanting to spend some quality time together.

This place was beyond our wildest expectations. The house is beautifully decorated and has every amenity, and, of course, a beyond description view! Perfect house for a couples retreat. There is some train noise, however, it did not interfere with our enjoyment of the property. If you want to get away from it all, then you should definitely stay at this place, you won't regret it!

Two Dog Haven
Great lake view. If traveling with dogs, the side yard is very convenient. The bed is comfortable with a morning view. The portable air units keep the house very cool. Watching the Bald Eagles fish was a nice surprise. We will return in the future.

Mesmerizing lake view from best stocked home ever!
Paul was very helpful, this home was so comfortable and relaxing and was the best stocked rental we've ever stayed in. They go over the top to ensure you have what you might need. The lake views are tremendous as was the hike each day to to the top of the mountain it sits on. Close to everything. Thank you!
