Surrounded by trees and charming homes, you'll love how close you are to downtown while feeling tucked away in your own cozy paradise. This newly renovated efficiency suite comes equipped with it's own entrance, private porch, dedicated parking, sitting area, kitchenette with breakfast bar, and bath.
This second floor suite has been recently and completely remodeled and offers filtered water from every fixture, brand new furniture and amenities including dedicated wifi, a mini split for your heating and cooling needs as well as on demand hot water and a smart TV.
Historic Montford lies just north of the city center and is one of the most desirable places to live and stay in Asheville. It is a charming, scenic, residential district close to shopping, restaurants, and entertainment. It is ideal for taking leisurely strolls with a green-way on Reed Creek just a block from this carriage house and a park across the street perfect for picnics and people watching. Several eateries offer a variety of menus and libations within walking distance including Nile Mile, Chiesa, 5 Points, and All Day Darling. All of Asheville including the River Arts District, downtown, the South Slope, East side, and West Asheville are a mere 5-8 minute drive from your accommodations.
Guests will be given a unique code to access their unit and have the entire second floor to themselves including a private porch and back entrance which only they will use. Guests access the shared laundry facilities using a key via the ground floor of the adjacent building.
You will have one dedicated parking spot in the driveway. There is also ample unrestricted parking nearby on the block for additional cars.

This place was amazing! Beautifully renovated to include some the original/antique qualities of the property. My fiance and I enjoyed every moment of our stay, from gazing upon the brick "castle" next door the moment we arrived to relaxing and watching TV in the evenings and everything in between!! We loved it and definitely recommend staying here!

This is a great place to stay for a visit to Asheville. It is close to downtown and close to several grocery stores. The apartment is a little small, but it’s exactly what you need after a day out in the town.

Wonderful experience!! The place was meticulously designed and space maximized. So many thoughtful touches made for a beautiful relaxing retreat feel. The bathroom tub & shower were a slice of spa heaven and did not disappoint! Kitchen had everything we needed. The host was super responsive and had on point suggestions. We plan to go back. Just book it!

Our accommodations were better than expected! The unit was thoughtfully decorated and every detail was considered. The location was ideal in a quiet neighborhood close to everything Asheville has to offer. The best part of our trip was our the host! She was responsive to all of our requests and provided excellent recommendations for things to see and do in the area.

The Nest was a cozy and charming place to start and end our busy days. Spotless, well equipped with lots of special touches —coffee, tea, cocoa, nice toiletries. Comfy furnishings. Could be a nice walk to downtown, or better yet—quick drive to free parking at the Visitor Center and just a short walk over the bridge. Will come back!

I cannot say enough about Lani and her property. My experience was beyond wonderful. I was in contact with Lani months before I arrived, she always responded timely and with great information. She even worked with my former co-workers for a lovely surprise upon my arrival. Her property is beautiful and felt very cozy and home like. Very thoughtfully decorated and clean. She leaves clear instructions for her guests and makes herself available should a guest need to contact her. I highly recommend her property for a stay and I myself, will be returning. THANK YOU Lani!!

We had a great stay at this loft in Asheville! It’s a short 30 minute walk to downtown while being private and quiet. The big soaking tub was a huge bonus after a long day of hiking and being active. Super comfortable bed!

This was one of the best mini vacations we’ve ever had. Mostly because we stayed here. It’s super cute and cozy and is in the perfect location. Our host was very friendly and helpful with whatever we needed. We would definitely stay here again if we’re in the area!!

To begin I would say that the property is charming and the neighborhood walkable and very convenient to downtown Asheville. I came to spend Christmas week visiting my daughter. I never expected the snap of frigid weather about to impact a large swath of the country. The landlord, Lani, reached out to me before I even knew what was coming. She offered a back up plan in advance, including extra heaters and even other places I could stay if the situation worsened. None of it was necessary. The place was cozy and very sweetly appointed for a low key stay. No stove but you could actually cook a meal here. The bathroom has a separate wall heater so it was always warm. The deep soak tub with plenty of hot water was a joy of unexpected proportions for this particular moment. Everything felt well thought out.… the Epsom salts… the fresh coffee… many little things Thanks Lani. Hope to have a chance to Visit again. Sue Ellen

We loved everything about our stay. The space was beautiful and spotless. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and tools so we could cook small meals, store food in the fridge, etc. for when we didn’t want to eat out. The bed was extremely comfortable and furniture was well maintained and inviting. The highlight was probably the shower - felt like a retreat after long hikes every afternoon! 100% recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at Historic Montfort. It was cozy, comfortable, well furnished and convenient. Directions for use were clear and not overwhelming. It had everything we wanted! It was super convenient to everything we wanted to do and everywhere we wanted to visit. Would definitely recommend this to other travelers.

The property is lovely, clean, well appointed, great location and cozy. Shower was fantastic and we want one like it at home! Walked to town, to the farmers market and to great restaurants. Be aware there is a flight of stairs to go up for anyone with mobility issues.

My husband and I were thrilled with our stay at “Your Montfort Nest.” The space is nicely decorated and had everything we needed for our four night visit. We didn’t want to stay right in downtown Asheville and the location was close enough to downtown, Merrimon St and the Biltmore. Lani was incredibly helpful and responded to our needs quickly. When we stay in Asheville again, we will be sure to stay at “The Nest.”

Had a problem with getting the entry code for the property, but after that all was good. This was my first visit to Asheville and the close in location in Montford was convenient to downtown, dining, and grocery stores. The place is as described and worked very well for my visit - would stay there again for a short visit.

I surprised my wife with a short getaway for our wedding anniversary and found this great little cottage! It was perfect for what we needed. The last thing I wanted though was something that is described as one thing and turned out to be something else. This was not the case. Everything in her description was just as we found the cottage. It was a perfect size for the two of us. The living quarters were roomy enough for us and the bed was in its own nook that seemed to give even more space. We loved the shower/tub bath area! Very pretty design and the shower area was huge! We used the kitchen only for snacks and coffee in the morning but I’m sure you’d find room enough for a couple people to cook any meal they’d like if they choose to do that. The cottage was in a nice neighborhood and overall very quiet with the exception of the first couple hours the first night after we went to bed when the neighbor below us decided to play their music pretty loudly until early in the morning. We pretty much remedied that with our own sound machine app on our phone. Parking can be a little tight if you have a large car but if you follow the instructions you should have no problem. Lana was a great host and even kept in touch by text when the neighborhood had a water main break issue. It didn’t affect our plans or use of water at all but she was kind enough to make sure we were aware in case the situation changed. She was very prompt in returning a text on my couple questions too which was very convenient and courteous. Great place to stay very close to downtown but far enough area that you seem like your in the country.

Located right outside of downtown Asheville. Super easy to drive or take an Uber. Owner met us when we arrived with her cute dog. Property is exactly as pictured. Someone does stay below you (not sure if it’s a rental or VRBO). You have your own spot in the driveway. I appreciated that there weren’t tons of cleaning rules at the end of the stay (just asked to take out trash). Would definitely return!

I didn't spend a lot of time at the property because I was in town on business and my days and early evenings were busy but coming back each night to a luxurious and relaxing soaking tub made the day melt away. Everything was very clean, the neighborhood was quiet but easily accessible to downtown and walking path. The place was very clean and the bed was comfortable. I prefer a darker space for sleeping but had no trouble dozing off and sleeping comfortably. I would stay here again.

We had a great stay in Montford and our VRBO was perfect for two people. A perfect place for those who want to check out all that Asheville has to offer but aren't interested in staying downtown. Our VRBO was beautiful and had everything we needed for a long weekend!
