About this house rental

This clean, tidy shack is located one street back from the beach. It has been recently renovated, with a new kitchen, floor coverings, air conditioning and painted throughout.

There is a TV and DVD player, along with some DVD's and games for some family fun!

Bedroom 1- Queen bed
Bedroom 2- Double bed
Bedroom 3- Set of bunks

Fisherman's friend comfortably sleeps 6 in the bedrooms.There is also a double sofa bed in the living area if you wish to bring a couple of extras! We also provide a porta-cot for your convenience.

Outside offers plenty of off street parking for your boat, car or even a caravan.

There is a covered outdoor area with a BBQ and outdoor setting.

Try fishing from the Port Hughes and Moonta Bay jetties. Take the boat out during the summer and catch some gar, crabs, squid or even a big red snapper. Don't forget to return for the winter whiting.

Port Hughes has great family friendly beaches. Have a swim or take a walk along the beach to Moonta Bay. A walking track is also provided to the tavern, boat ramp, general store, jetty and playground.

Located just two hours from Adelaide, Port Hughes, Moonta and Moonta Bay are all situated within a couple of minutes drive of each other, and boast a great range of eating places, including cafes, restaurants and hotels.

Have a look around the Copper Coast. Enjoy the local museums and the historical remains of the rich mining ruins.

Great little shack, it was just perfect for us! It had everything we needed and the hosts were very helpful. We will definitely stay again, it was so peaceful and a delightful little shack.

Beds are comfortable. Shower is good. Outside is in need desperate need of cleaning up. It’s just a fishing shack but is well equipped. Nothing special at all but did the trick. In need of handle on the door it’s difficult to open. We left it cleaner. You get what you pay for.

The front was unkept and left a lot to be desired. Old trees that had fallen just left to rot , fences coming down and panels missing . Shade cloth ripped and left to rot . Bins full and left out the front , back garden unusable as full of three corner jacks . Rubbish stacked up against the fence . Plusses - comfortable bed , kitchen full of appliances,

There were three of us- 2 older adults and a 16 year old. We enjoyed being within easy walking distance to the beach, general store , jetty and boat launching. The shack had comfortable beds and everything we needed. Temperatures reached 38 degrees both days we were there and the airconditioning kept us cool. You clean the house before leaving which has the advantage of keeping costs low. This used to be standard practice a few years ago, but not so much these days. Floors and all inside surfaces were very clean. Fish cleaning area and barbecues also were clean. Noticed the fridge had a slight odour. Husband commented that drainage around the fish cleaning area would improve it.

Shack was clean and tidy inside,outside could have been cleaned up better and bottles and rubbish removed before we arrived as we had to do it.One of the BBQs was in terrible condition and not fit for use so upgrade for new BBQ would go a long way.

It's ideal for those who need a small clean place to stay at Port Hughes, it caters for those who love to fish, bait fridge out the back, fish cleaning station and BBQ (was very clean). 10 minute walk or 2 minute drive to the jetty. We loved our stay here and would stay again. Hosts were very responsive to queries we had before we arrived.

The property is untidy with lot of mosquitos, spiders and spiderwebs. No front door for the property, toilet don't have exhaust fan, rear door lock damaged, could not lock, since the area is a fire danger zone its risky for the occupants in the absence of front door,, even the laundry door is not functional, The property needs a good cleanup, at the moment it looks like a metal scrap shed.

Pleasantly surprised by the interior of the shack, had all our basic needs covered and was exactly what we needed for a night’s stay. We’ll definitely be back for a few nights next time.

Good location, convenient to beach, quiet, etc. Pretty well-equipped though minus an oven which wasn't a problem for us. The place needs a very thorough clean including bed coverings. Hot water system decided not to work on our first night but owner responded very promptly and got it working and it was fine for the rest of our stay.
