About this apartment rental

Location is key and this rental is perfectly located to easily walk to all things Folly! Once you park your car there will be no need to get back in it, unless you are leaving the Island. This rental is located on the first floor of a two story home. The space includes two private bedrooms with queen beds in both rooms and a twin daybed in the common area. The daybed is tucked back in it's own little nook with curtains that offer a bit of added privacy. There is also a full sized futon in the living room. We have a small bathroom and an additional outdoor shower. Great for small families on a budget or couple's retreat! Pictures do not do this rental justice as it is much larger then it appears. Open, airy living area that comfortably seats 4 along with dining inside. Fully appointed kitchen with everything you need to stay in and prepare a meal. Comcast Wifi, YoutubeTV, Smart flat screen TV in living room, additional TV in Master bedroom. Covered Shaded porch outside with dining table and seating. Fenced in yard. Outdoor shower with hot/cold water. 1/2 block from Restaurants, Bars, Shops, Grocery and 2 blocks back from the beach. 2 Beach Chairs provided, beach wagon and small beach towels provided. This rental is not a single family home but a downstairs, ground level apartment. No SMOKING OF ANY KIND allowed on the property...inside and outside. Since this is a shared property, with two different units, smoking on the property can negatively impact others. This includes all forms of smoking. 2024 LIC#050213

PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS THE DOWNSTAIRS GROUND LEVEL UNIT OF A TWO STORY HOME. While it is not a basement...it is on the first floor and you will hear some foot traffic above. The above space is lived in full time. The upstairs unit uses the back entrance and Tucked Away uses the front. Please note, we have one designated parking spot in front of the property. There is additional parking in front of the home, however it is public. There are several paid parking lots nearby, if needed.

DOGS BARKING TO ALERT IS ONE THING...SEPARATION ANXIETY IS ANOTHER. WE DO HAVE NEIGHBORS AND THIS IS AN APARTMENT WITHIN A HOME. EVEN IF PET IS CRATED...WE CAN NOT HAVE IT CONTINUOUSLY BARKING. Everything was great-only negative comment is the type of cleaning products used in-between guest. The products ARE VERY TOXIC smells like pine sol or something in that vain-had to open up the windows and turn fans on hi until it aired out. Would suggest to use a more natural base cleaning product as they have the same affect without harming humans and the planet. Mini split in smallest bedroom had inconsistency's-sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't. We loved the wagon, and the outdoor shower the most. The outside furniture was ok-a lounge chair or 2 of some sort would totally hook up the hideaway!! Thanks Dianna

Folly is fun place to enjoy the seaside. Tucked away offers a location that is close to everything including the beach while being a sanctuary to rest and recover. the provided chairs umbrella and wagon to transport the 2 blocks to beach is wonderful. Upon return is a full outdoor shower to rinse the beach off when returning. loved all the hooks provided in the house. Great stay.

Had a great time in Folly! Tucked Away was perfect for myself and my two friends. Location was close to downtown without feeling like we were near all the action. The kitchen was efficient and well supplied with cooking essentials. Would definitely rent again!

Hidden under a home (but not in the basement) is this roomy guest cottage with all the amenities of home. The covered patio provided a nice outdoor space for morning coffee. Located close to the town center and local grocery which is open 24/7. Cozy and cost effective...will be visiting again.

I and my 2 friends had a lovely stay. The kitchen had everything we needed, the outdoor space was nice and we loved the outdoor shower because the juxtaposition of the modern interior and the old school shower was delightful. The place was immaculate and comfortable and the host was available if needed but not intrusive. The beach was an easy stroll away and a beach cart was provided. We did not need laundry done but machines are on site. We also loved the bidet as we use one at home. 5 stars

Great location and easy access to everything at Folly Beach. Plants around home are grown up some versus the picture so we initially drove right past the place upon arrival. Downstairs apt was super clean and well maintained. Great place to stay, easy walk to beach.

Great location right by Bert’s store and Chico Feo, Taco Boy and many other places on the strip. Beach is a few blocks away and super easy access. Apartment is clean and the outside shower is a nice touch.

We absolutely loved our stay at Tucked Away. It’s a peaceful little oasis in the middle of all the Folly Beach action. Dianne and her family were wonderful hosts. We will definitely be back and will recommend to everyone we know!

Very neat apartment right near Main Street of folly Beach. It is also just a couple blocks away from the beach . You can park your car and never use it again which is a good thing in this beach community . Wonderful not fancy restaurants and bars . We had a great time .

A wonderful place to stay that allowed us to fall in love with Folly Beach. Even more convenient to everything than the listing shared. No more than a 3-4 minute walk to the beach and maybe a 2 minute walk to coffee shops and groceries. The location’s convenience made our stay with two little ones great and the space itself is quirky and fun. We hope to be back again soon!

If your looking for a clean, well equipped apartment style rental that is super convenient to beach, dining and entertainment than this is it. Cozy but enough room for two adults and two teens. It was obvious that the homeowners tried to think of everything you would need for a vacation at the beach. Beach towels, beach chairs and even an outdoor shower were all provided.. Thanks for creating a lovely place to stay, we look forward to coming back.

We enjoyed our stay in their quaint but perfect space for the two of us! Our goal was to visit the beach as much as we could, play some golf & visit some local friends. This property gave us everything we needed for our vacation & everything is in walking distance. we will be back!

We really enjoyed our stay at Folly Beach. Tucked Away was super cozy and more spacious than it appears in the pictures. Parking can be a challenge at Folly Beach but luckily we were able to park right in front of the residence and didn’t have to move our vehicle until we departed. Everything you need is just a short walk away. That was definitely our favorite part. The outdoor shower was also a nice feature for rinsing off after a long beach day. Overall I would highly recommend staying at Tucked Away.
