Cool stay in Nimes

Nice place in the heart of the old city. Don't plan on bringing heavy luggage, you might come to regret it

Convenient, but noisy.

In the centre, quirky, comfortable.

It was a little noisy. Directly above late night bars. The washing machine was antiquated, and didn’t really wash clothes.

Very good

The terrace is obviously a big plus for this appartment. It was spotlessly clean and the location was fantastic.

I think it needs explaining that if you are arriving by car,the sat nav can’t get you to the appartment ( some streets pedestrianised) and so travellers need to be advised to park first and walk to the appartment. A little more clarity around finding the door,door code etc may have been helpful, some details perhaps lost in translation on the Booking site. No air con on the first night but host was efficient in sorting the problem

I wish we could have stayed a second night -we got apartment-envy!

I cannot think of a better location if you are visiting Nimes. The apartment was beautifully and tastefully decorated, the terrace was fabulous - I wish we could have stayed another night! When we stayed there the communal stairs to the top floor were being renovated so the initial impression when we entered the building was a little off-putting, but it's no big deal and makes you appreciate the apartment even more! I highly recommend this apartment - more charming and better value than the majority of hotels.

Lots to see and do and great apartment to return to in the evening.

Apartment was very central, but being on the 4th floor it was also very quiet ( no street noise ) An added bonus was a delightful terrace with views over the old rooftops! Excellent after a day sightseeing

Maybe the timer on the lighting for the stairs could be on a bit longer.

location, location, location. roof top deck was great, but, unless you are staying several days and weather is perfect not as impressive.

while I knew when I booked the room that we would have to park a short distance away, it was never stated that we could not unload luggage near the property. apartment is nice and yes, it is a 4 story walk up ( all known) but the entry way door does not lock and the entry way smells like someone gas been urinating there. top flight of stairs are worn down concrete and slippery (saw previous reviewer from year ago mentioned same). no coffee left in apartment, had to contact owner for coffee owner; only available by email . coffee for the provided machine arrived late the next morning by the property manager. no water or anything provided. decent place if you need to be in the specific area.

Truly an exceptional stay in Nîmes!

The flat is truly exceptional! We really enjoyed staying there, and spending as much time as possible on the beautiful terrace :) And the hosts are very thoughtful and kind. We greatly recommend the place!

Perfect location, difficult stairs, difficult access to keys, lovely rooftop view, pet unfriendly

There was no breakfast. The location is super, but Jean-Daniel must alert his possible visitors that the apartment is up 4 flights of narrow steep stairs. This means that it is not really pet friendly, since my pet was a bit freaked out by the stairs and I had to carry her up and down. I think it is the perfect eyrie for a young romantic couple. Beautiful rooftop terrace and wonderful location, but for an elderly couple like us it was very inconvenient, even though JD had made every effort to make it comfy and attractive. He even left a lovely bottle of rose in the fridge, which was a lovely touch.

The keys are very hard to find. We had to phone JD to find out where they were. He needs to think of another option. I think that he needs to market the property differently for people who are young or youngish or very fit, and who love the urban funkiness of it.

Amazing apartment, Great location!

The apartment was beautifully decorated and was fully equipped with all that you needed. The terrace was really lovely, we spent most of our evenings up there 😊 there was a welcome booklet in the apartment with recommendations of places to eat and visit. This was a lovely touch. The apartment had aircon which was fab and was very central. Great location. Would definitely return!

The apartment was on the 4th floor with no lift - this was not a problem for us but it may be something to keep in mind when booking.

Very good

The apartment is lovely. The upstairs patio is incredible to enjoy both morning and night.

The indoor stairs are steep and some of the bannisters were loose. However, the host explained that the landlord will be fixing it soon. Worth it. Just need to plan.

Beautiful place and host which make you feel appreciated as a guest, would love coming back!

Amazing place, everything was nicely decorated and properly renovated with attention to detail. It’s perfect for two, very cozy and the roof terrace is wonderful. Equipment like airco, tv, speaker and Netflix just worked flawlessly. All information presented in a clear and kind way, and everything was super clean. Also there are more basic food items like tea, coffee than you need which is refreshing.

The Apartment is fabulous, really clean, awesome easy to get to location, lovely evenings with cheese and wine on the terrace, perfect to just take in the sounds and unwind

Super apartment with rooftop terrace

The rooftop terrace is absolutely amazing. The rest of the apartment is also absolutely fine. Spacious, well appointed. Beds are good. Bedroom quiet & dark. Did not use the kitchen but it looked fine. Great place!

The apartment was very clean and tidy, it is very central but as it is on the top floor it was very quiet the terrace is charming with a great view of the city we had a great stay

Highly reccomend this flat to stay. Great location, accommodating hosts, great facilities.

Absolutely loved our stay in this flat. The private terrace and washer were the selling point for us during our stay. Jean-Daniel and Lili were very accommodating: great communication, kindly welcomed us with a bottle of wine and information guides on the area and apartment. The apartment itself had beautiful views (waking up seeing the sunrise through the small bedroom window was priceless, the apartment felt very comfortable throughout. The kitchen had everything we could possibly need for our stay. Blankets and candles for colder days in, and a beautiful private terrace to enjoy a smoke or a drink. The location was great. Don’t recommend bringing a lot of luggage as there is no elevator and it’s a bit of a hike up the stairs, also quite dark when you first enter the building.

Everything was tidy, well kept but some of the dishes definitely needed a good wash before use. The shower heads had calcium build up as well that could use a good clean

Lovely apartment with stunning roof terrace - charming

An enjoyable short stay in a super apartment

This is a fabulous apartment in the best location in Nimes for easily walking to the main attractions. It is beautifully decorated and very comfortable, with a lovely little roof terrace.

We didn't know that the apartment was up so many steep and winding stairs, which were very shabby. We are pensioners and found it quite hard going up and down, if we were a few years older and a bit more infirm, I doubt we would have been able to have done it.
