The properties well very well stocked and facilities great in a lovely lakeside setting. We used all 3 locations minutes walks between. Game rooms were get place for the younger children. Fishing for kids was great as well as bicycles. We were a extended family of 20 ages 79 to 6 all had a great time. Caution you can not swim in the lake and during stay we could not use the lake for our own or the kayaks at the available as the lake owner would not allow access. Mom and Pop and the little love Inn are both directly on the water front. Recommend you contact owner to ensure access to lake if that is important. We were credited an amount for lose of access it was an inconvenience not to be able to use lake. But there are a number of close by places to kayak and swim. The hosts were amazing communication was fast and very helpful. It is a wonderful place to unwind and enjoy sitting by a fire, visiting and toasting marshmallows and hot dogs or swinging in one of the hammocks.

Perfect summer getaway
My family rented out two of the properties for a family reunion this past week. It was the perfect setting and perfect week. The two houses gave everyone the space they needed — when they needed their alone time and when everyone wanted to come together for play, dinner, etc.
The view of lake is divine. The kids thoroughly enjoyed doing "the loop" with the bikes that are on the property.
The houses themselves were very comfy and clean. And the property owners incredibly responsive — both in lead up to our stay and once there.
I would highly recommend a stay here. It was a serene week that we all wanted a "do over" with because we just didn't want the fun to end!

Christmas Retreat
We took our family to the property to celebrate Christmas with our family, other than missing the snow the property was everything we hoped for relaxinging, and fun. Great for a family trip.

family reunion
The Mom and Pop residence had beautiful views of the lake. The deck and firepit areas were wonderful. There was ample space in side as well as outside. The bedroom with the on suite bathroom needed more lighting near the the desk. We would consider renting it again.

Amazing houses made to feel like home
If you’re on the fence DON’T BE because you will not regret it. We rented all three house for our parents 50th wedding anniversary. Each house had its own charm and character. Amy & Robin have thought of everything to make these houses feel like your home on the lake. From fully stocked coffee bars to robes hanging ready after your shower to bikes and kayaks ready to use for all ages. But if you forgot something or needed anything the welcome book was full of information and it was specific but simple. Amy was in contact during our stay making sure we found everything. The beds were more comfortable than a 5 star hotel with pillows like clouds. The view from the deck on the lake is breathtaking and pictures or words cannot describe its beauty, especially at sunset. We will definitely be back. We even forgot a few things and they were great about returning it.

A Christmas to Remember
My mother is 90 and although our family is accustomed to spending holidays at her home, our number one priority has been social distancing to protect her through the pandemic.
In spite of the challenges of 2020, our Christmas was one the best ever thanks to Amy and Robin’s three cabins on Mitchell Lake where our extended family was able to social distance and spend time together outdoors.
Amy was so incredibly responsive to our every need. From the moment we booked, to the moment we realized we’d have to leave a day early to avoid driving through a snow storm, Amy was so easy to reach. She was completely committed to getting there safely and making sure we had a good time once we arrived.
All three cabins were wonderful. They are all immaculate. The kitchens in all three homes were very well stocked with supplies and even Kuerig coffee machines. And all of the cabins incredibly charming complete with lovely decor, cozy cute bedding and fun touches like the snowy egret wallpaper in the Castle cabin. And Robin had them fully decorated for the holiday making us feel so at home on Christmas.
The cabins were warm and the deck spaces spacious and lovely. In spite of the snow, the temps got into the high 30s so we were able to enjoy some outdoor, masked deck visits. The views are mesmerizing. The lake was snow covered for our visit and we couldn’t stop taking photos. It was warm enough one day to use the fire pit at Mom and Pop’s, the largest cabin. It was just gorgeous with the fire, lake and snow-capped trees.
We ventured out one day hitting Campbell Pottery Store, which is really a giant barn featuring dozens of art by local craftsman. Cambridge Springs is a beautiful little town and added to our experience of our country Christmas. We didn’t have time to check out the small ski resort close by but maybe next time. We did enjoy taking walks and imagining all the summer fun the lake might bring.
In a year that we expected to have a somber Christmas, we ended up having the best one ever thanks to Amy & Robin.
I highly recommend Amy & Robin’s cabins for a together/apart pandemic getaway for extended families. Or, each of these homes on their own would also be lovely for smaller families or couples.
Now that we’ve experienced winter in the cabins, we look forward to going back to experience the beauty of the lake in other seasons!
