Why stay anywhere else but on the water? If you come to Smiths Lake to holiday, it is the only place to be!!
Smiths Lake is the playground of the Pacific Palms region. The lake is suitable for all water sports and if you're not on it at least be sure you can view the changing vista and the sunsets which are to be seen to be believed!
Smiths Lake is famous for the enormous sandbar which divides the lake from the Pacific Ocean. From time to time the sandbar is manually opened to allow the lake to drain and refresh the fish stocks, rendering it tidal for a time. Fishing is a favourite pastime here for both commercial and recreational fisherman with an abundance available.
Smiths Lake is only a few minutes drive from WORLD CLASS beaches, namely Bluey's Boomerang and Cellito at Sandbar. Elizabeth Beach is the safest swimming for children.
Of course just 20 minutes or so away are the magnificent beaches of the Forster Tuncurry region. All the way to Forster, you will pass Wallis Lake on your left which is well worth a visit. Stop at the simply beautiful green cathedral, the wedding venue in the mid north coast under a canopy of palms with a superb view of Wallis Lake.
On your way you will see the Rec Club at Pacific Palms where there is a boat ramp if you choose to go to Forster by water. There are public areas to moor your boat on Forster side.

The huge upper deck is securely enclosed for your pet's safety and enjoyment and also has a large sheltered section. A large kennel is available on request. Pets however are not permitted indoors.

The local area
Smiths Lake is a tranquil village complete with village shops which can cater for all of your needs.
There is a general sub/news store with groceries and vegetables, a butcher, baker, liquor store, hairdresser/beauty salon for the high maintenance group and the delightful TLC Cafe.
The liquor store carries an extensive range to BYO, and coffee and delicious take away or eat in meals are available at our village shopping centre's local cafe. Another great cafe is Frothy Coffee, open 7 days and situated on the lake at Amaroo alongside the boat ramp. You can enjoy a morning coffee and then hire watercraft at the sailing club there.
The local Bowling club provides a good option for families. There are other excellent cafes and restaurants at Bluey's and Boomerang along with a village shopping centre and the Kingfisher restaurant nearby.
On the Lakes Way, heading north to Forster you will find the Charlotte Bay shopping centre where you will discover the fish shop, famous for its local catch. The owner is a supplier to the best restaurants in Sydney. His fish is an experience indeed!

The property was as listed with ample room for the whole family (8) to relax with 3 seperate lounge areas. Aesthetically the house is a little tired and the carpet well over due for replacement with an unpleasant dank musty smell in the lower staircase. Lots of thought gone into activities (games, books, audio speakers, snooker, spa, fishing gear and kayaks). In such a pristine natural setting it was sad single use plastic shampoo bottles and plastic wrapped soaps are used instead of refillable dispensers. This would be cheaper and far more eco friendly. Kitchen was well appointed but little to nothing in the way of staples eg cooking oils etc . In many similar properties in the Pacific Palms area this is standard. Though Kitchen cleaning products, plastic film, foil and baking paper are supplied including tea towels. The small front courtyard and back enclosed verandah was perfect for our two dogs annd they loved swimming in the lake and their time at the beach. Dogs are charged extra as to an additional linen cleaning fee to the price which is odd. Cellito Beach nearby is stunning with a great little surf break for our crew. Overall we loved being together as a family over Easter and have the space for everyone to relax.

What an amazing area and a great place to stay. Our family loved the location and the facilities offered. We all had a wonderful time. The house is absolutely lovely and even though it would be absolutely wonderful and stunning with a freshen up it is a great place to stay

We had a terrific week at Viste del Aqua. This house is a perfect getaway for families with young children, we have two under 2. Sweeping views of the lake. Enough space for everyone to spread out and also for some that needed a quiet place to work. Beds were very comfortable. A large well stocked kitchen. Can highly recommend to other multigenerational families looking for a holiday together. Thanks Kate.

We stayed at Vista Del Aqua in November 2023. Perfect for the three generations of our family doing our annual pre Christmas get together, with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. The house is very well appointed with everything you need in the kitchen. It was great sitting on the deck with the outlook over the lake - very peaceful.

House was lovely, very well equipped and heaps of room for a big group to spread out. There were a few maintenance issues, spa needed a good clean, 2 of the toilets had issue with flushing and boat motor doesn’t work . But the older boys were able to row it to have a fish.
Would definitely book again though as the configuration and equipment were great. Could sit on the back verandah and enjoy the view all day!

The pix matched the reality of the property overall. However, the carpet is a real con because it made the property feel stale and smelly as it is very worn.

House was as described and met all expectations. Good relaxing areas, great bedroom options, however sqeeky floors in kitchen did effect those in a bottom bedroom :(
Pool table was great for a teen break out area, leaving the elder generations to enjoy the view and ambience from from the upper deck.
Lots of platters, cutlery, oven trays and pots/pans- great to see in a house definitely designed for large groups.
Would book this again and recommend to others!

Probably needs attention on a few little things that make a huge difference. No tissues, toilet paper (only 1/2 roll each approx in 6 toilets) Who takes toilet paper on a holiday to a fully equipped house. No washing powder and only enough spa shock for 1 spa. We were there for 4 days. No serviettes BUT the kitchen was very well. equipped, nothing forgotten there. Very big with every conceivable appliance. Maybe the cleaners could check on the amounts left on rolls and bottles. Tiny shower gel bottles in each bathroom, enough for 1 person per shower.

We enjoyed our family stay very much. The check in process was incredibly easy and the house was comfortable and roomy. Emma was very professional, friendly, and responded quickly to meeting our needs. We have stayed at this property before so did notice some of the furnishings are looking a little tired, but the beds are so comfy, bathrooms are clean and always plenty of hot water. We had a fantastic family celebration and would stay here again.

Great Place to unwind
Property was very clean and large enough for all of us to spread out in different areas. Kids fished a lot down by the lake. Surrounding suburbs like Blueys, Boomrang, Elizabeth Beach are not to far away. Also took a short trip to Seal Rocks & Up to Black Head on separate days.
Would recommenced this property to any large family or even two families. Thoroughly enjoyed our short getaway will hopefully return in the future.

Family escape
There were bedrooms and bathrooms on all levels of the property which is great for any one with restricted mobility. The outlook was amazing, looking out across the lake and being in the quietness of the bush. If you want to leave it all behind this is the place to stay

This was a fantastic property on Smiths Lake. Great for beach walking, kayaking and shopping
This property was fantastic for a group. Great big dining table as well as enough seating for all of us on the deck. There were 3 Kayaks supplied and we took 3 of our own and although it was winter we still enjoyed the sunny days on the water. The spa was a bonus and although the fire was not working the air con worked a treat. The have all the cooking utensils etc needed and we will definately be back. Awesome***

Spacious , good value
Great house for our 3 families, for the number of people it holds , the number of bathrooms and separate living areas are ideal. Back deck overlooking the lake is a beautiful place to eat , relax, read a book. Floor plan indicates a table tennis table which was absent , this would be a great addition - could easily be placed in the garage and folded away if not required. Overall we had a fantastic stay, we’ll be back!

Perfect holiday accomodation
I booked Viste delll Aqua for myself and 11 other people to stay in. Being a multi generation group the house was spacious and big enough to cater for everyone’s needs. The kayaks got a lot of use. The bbq was big enough to feed the group and there is plenty of living spaces that people did not feel they were on top of each other. Would definitely go back and would recommend to anyone who is looking to accommodate a large family group.

Plenty of room for our family of 12 people, ranging from age 4 to age 89. Lots to do, house is well equipped and we'd definitely go there again. Loved it.

Weekend with Friends
We had a lovely long weekend in this house for our 28th pre mothers day weekend away. Group of 10 women. We enjoyed the large living spaces and kitchen especially - though it was too cold for the outdoor table. The view through the trees to the lake is lovely. We watch lorikeets nesting in tree hollows and lots of waterbirds and sea eagles.

We absolutely loved this house. So many bedrooms to choose from and so many bathrooms ! There were 5 couples so this was great.
The fridge in the garage wasn't used as it didn't keep anything cold that would be my only small complaint but esky with ice were fine.
So much room I really don't think it would matter if it rained as lots indoor space.
We loved the spa, the view, the kayaks.m
Loved it so much we are booking again in 2020!

Perfect setting and surrounds for a holiday.
House is modern well maintained and tastefully decorated. Very generous sized bedrooms and most have a lake view and are well spaced if you want to chill out. Living, dining kitchen are huge as is the deck area and again those lake views! Everything is provided including a motor boat, kayaks and fishing gear. And when it rained? Well you just raid the library or terrorise the pool table. Very satisfactory!

Beautiful property
This house is like Mary Poppins bag. It doesn't seem that special or big from the outside but once you open the door it just keeps giving! A massive property that is beautifully appointed and suited our large group perfectly. There are numerous chill out spaces so that if you want some quiet time you can get away from everyone for a while.
The floor plan shows a pool table and table tennis table in the garage but the pool table had been moved downstairs to the lounge room and there was no table tennis table which was a bit disappointing. There was a dart board in the garage though.
The kids loved the spa which was huge and the kayaks which came with life jackets in a variety of sizes. I would suggest reef shoes when heading to the water as it's completely rocky and we had a few cuts and scratches.
Loads of TV's, plenty of toilets, comfy beds and a kitchen with everything you could possible want, we had a lovely stay and didn't want to leave.
Kate was very accommodating and responded quickly to any questions we had.
PS. The pizza from the local bowling club was yummy!

WOW WOW WOW
What a top house...space, space, space. Our group of 4 couples were blown away - we basically each had our own wing, own bathroom and so many chill out spots we got lost. We did not even use the uppermost rooms. The beds were so comfortable - everyone commented on the quality of their sleep.The pool table and spa were a hit as were the canoes. The bird life was amazing as were the possums. The owner very easy to deal with and very friendly. We have been going away as a group for 5 years and this is the best place we have ever stayed. Great location - great property
Just returned from a long weekend with friends and this property did not disappoint. The house was clean and the property manager could not have been more helpful. Everything written about the property in its description is factual. The view was so relaxing. The lake itself made for easy kayaking.

Just as good second time round!
We thoroughly enjoyed our extra long weekend at Viste dell Aqua. Although it rained most days, we hardly noticed it with ample living areas inside as well as a covered balcony. The fireplace kept us warm. With 14 people, there was still plenty of space to find that book reading nook! We'll be back!

Exceptional Property
We had an enjoyable and relaxing stay at Viste Dell aqua. We had three generations who were all extremely happy with the property and its features. The house was so well equipped and the spa and games room were thoroughly enjoyed by adults and kids alike. The location and views are amazing and we can't wait to book a return to Viste Dell aqua.

Excellent property!
My family group of 15, 4 families comprising of mostly kids, loved the place! It was a perfect getaway house. The front is quite deceiving and one would think that this place isn't a multi-storied house. But it is and so much more! It was like an endless amount of bedrooms and nooks that one can get lost in. It's so spacious. Really perfect for family groups. Everything you need is provided. Sometimes you rent a place and sure, they provide you with kitchen basics but this place has EVERYTHING and that even includes baking wares as well as a coffee machine. It really is a home away from home. Games room was a hit as well as the spa! Of course, not to mention the dingy boat and kayaks that we made total use of. We pretty much just stayed put the whole weekend. Everything was just there that there was no need to venture out (except of course, for grocery needs).

Huge, Gorgeous, Fully Equipped, Cosy!!
We had a group of 5 adult couples staying for 2 nights over a weekend. Upon arrival we all agreed the long drive up from Sydney was well and truly worth it. We each had a comfortable queen bed, most with en-suites, and a couple with amazing views. The included equipment - both necessities and entertainment - were extensive and high quality. The cherry on top was the little dingy on the lake which made it easy to soak up the sun and take in the beautiful lake the house is based on. Beautiful house in a beautiful setting
We have just spent three amazing days at Viste dell Aqua celebrating my husbands birthday with family and friends. It is an amazing house and we felt very much at home there. Everyone had spacious bedrooms and beautiful ensuites and bathrooms. The kitchen was well appointed with everything you could think of - and more! We loved sitting out on the deck looking out over the lake. Just beautiful! And so much to do - table tennis, pool table, spa, kayaks, boat, fishing and for those who want to watch a movie,there are large screen TVs upstairs or downstairs. We were all very impressed with this home and I would not hesitate in recommending it to other family and friends. We enjoyed it so much, we have decided to book it every year for a get together! All we expected and more!
What a fantastic house that fitted 4 families easily! 9 bedrooms were a bonus along with the 3 living areas, huge spa, table tennis, pool table, kayaks and motorized dinghy! We're already planning our next weekend here!

Great spot on the lake
great house, short drive to the beach with many activities to do by the lake or just laze on the deck with a book. The fire place was also nice during the evenings. Great house for larger groups as the house is huge. I would definitely recommend this property and the contact/agent was very helpful and not intrusive as has been mentioned by another review.

Beautiful property very relaxing stay!!
Our family enjoyed a wonderful week at Viste dell aqua. The house was enormous and very well equipped. Bedrooms, bathrooms and loungerooms were all very modern and comfortable and made us all feel right at home from the first day.
The spa and games room were a great hit especially on the 1 or 2 rainy days we had.
The use of the boat at the bottom of the property was ideal to get out and explore the beautiful lake and happy to report we caught fish every time we went out.
We had all four seasons in one week which allowed us to use both the fireplace and the ducted air conditioning another added treat.
It was a delight to have the very friendly wildlife visit you on the back porch morning and night.
This house really did have it all and most importantly we felt we got value for money.
