Staff can speak english and eventhough we checj-in late, he gave a warmth-welcoming. In fact, He gave us suggestion on a very nice fruit picking place at Komoro. The place was extremely beautiful and hughly recommended to others.

Very friendly staff, delicious breakfast, cozy and spacious room, nice view, and the public bath was the best
It is a bit to walk from the train station and also to the other ryokan where breakfast is served

The location was nice and quite, close to Hiranire Terrace which is great. However, you will need to use bus or taxi if you want to go to the Old Karuizawa or the Outlet.
The room was spacious and comfortable.
The bathroom was a bit old and the water for the bathtub was lukewarm. we don't know how to make it hot. Lack of explanation from the staff.
Also when we are about to check-out, the staff was nowhere to be found. They said that we can put the key in a basket, but the basket was not provided, which created a confusion.
The room we had also had a different door from the main hall area, so if we want to go to the public bath, we have to get out of the house and re-enter the main hall, although it's near.

The room are traditional Japanese style with tatami mat and there is balcony. Overall the room is clean and comfortable.
Common bathroom is a bit too basic for this hotel price.

All facilities are in good condition and can stay up to 6 persons.

Managed to check in as soon as I reached the property although it's slightly earlier than indicated check in time.
Free hot coffee and tea all day round which is great during cold season.
Located deep inside quiet housing area allowing comfortable sleeps at night. Definitely great for relaxation trips.
Recommend to arrange for BBQ session with property as there's not much restaurant around.
Closest location for food is the 7-11 which require walk for 6 min. And Harunire Terrace might be the best/closest place for more food option within walking distance (around 10 - 15 min).
It's extremely dark at night, so do remember to grab a torchlight from check in counter if going out at night by walking.
Walking from train station to property is a bit far than expected.
Might be better for traveler with own transport (especially car).
Do add instruction on how to use the coffee machine (in english) please and clean it up once a while. As i see it's a bit dirty.

Hot shearing bathtub was not very hot at all during we stayed.

BBQ on the first night was fun, they made the cottage and camping area really pretty and fun!
and overall the facility was very clean, had extra amenities that I didn’t expect from this level of accommodation. and the staff Mohaud? was amazing! very flexible. thank you!
the futon was hard, we all had back ache.
and it was troublesome to use bathroom in the main building but it’s camping so what can I complain? wish u had milk for coffee at your coffee station.
and the shabushabu on the 2nd night was not the best but they accommodated extra guests for us so we are thankful.
one last comment: although Mohaud was wonderful, the female Japanese staff who answered the phone when I first made the reservation was very rude, not flexible at all. it made me question about the going there. I would identify this person and have her trained to provide better hospitality.

Location and Room for big family was nice.

The room is large and the ground is suitable for family.
A little bit far from the station than I thought. The dinner, we have to take at another villa which makes more time and inconvenience

Room was clean and staff helpful.
I was traveling around the Karuizawa area for work and golf. After booking 3 different places for the trip, Kose onsen, Taiheiyo Karuizawa, and the Villa. I selected the villa as my last destination due to the distance to the main station. I booked the terrace room with half board. No issues with checkin as it’s basically a makeshift counter and staff was helpful. During checkin he tells me dinner is served in a completely separate building a few hundred yards away and usually I wouldn’t mind but it was raining and dark and I got lost trying to find it. The bath looks nice in the photos but it’s basically an unkept luke warm small tub of water. Breakfast was supposed to be continental breakfast but was served a lunch box due to COVID. If I had known these , I would have opted out on food and most likely a different place to stay. They provide an extra bbq dinner option on the patio which is likely the cause of all the flies inside the villa and room. Unfortunately, this turned out to be a bad ending to a great trip. In my opinion, This place is suitable for college student gatherings and young couples. The so called villa is basically a co-working space which has a few rooms available on the 2nd floor and that’s about it.
