A contemporary and secluded urban oasis - sunny and clean - this well-appointed one-bedroom cottage is loaded with charm and style that captures the true essence of Venice. It is located in one of the most coveted and quiet neighborhoods, yet is just a 20 minute walk to the beach, and only two blocks from all of the popular shops, restaurants, and cafes on trendy Abbot Kinney Boulevard which was voted one of the "coolest" streets in the U.S. Every first Friday of the month Abbott Kinney Blvd is loaded with food trucks, visitors from other areas of town and an extra lively scene that will make you feel part of a community.
With an open plan and high wooden ceilings, thIs “beachhead” cottage features a large area with a full kitchen, dining area, and a desk. An spacious bedroom with a queen bed and a stylish living room with a deep, comfortable sofa to watch tv or relax. The sofa is extra deep and wide enough for someone to sleep comfortably. French doors open up to a quaint, private patio with a built-in sofa that is ideal to enjoy breakfast, a glass of wine or to get lost in your favorite book.
Other amenities include a laundry closet with washing machine and dryer, outdoor grill, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, WiFi and cable.

This was a wonderful and VERY clean bungalow within easy walking distance to Venice Beach. The decorations were wonderful and I appreciate the multiple fans and air purifiers for white noise. All linens were white so you could see that they were truly clean.
A full length mirror in the bungalow and hooks outside for wet beach towels or swimsuits, would be a great addition.
The only negative was that there was construction going on next door M-S.

Breeze & Light in Venice
Great property, great experience. The place is perfect - spacious with magnificent skylights and incredible windows for cross breezes. Property in a great little neighborhood just steps from Abbott Kinney and a short walk to the heart of the Boardwalk and Beach. Cottage is well-secluded with a private fence. Enrique is fantastic - available if needed, otherwise total privacy. Nice wi-fi and work spaces, easy parking spot and easy beach vibe. Wonderful month in Venice.

The minute you walk in the gate you know you’re going to feel right at home or even away like on vacation. It reminded me of being in Provincetown. The skylights are perfect in every room. I was supposed to work but all I wanted to do is cook, read, take naps, and curl up. So cozy. Will come back for sure.

Wonderful time in Venice
We loved the property and location, no complaints at all. Especially enjoyed being so close to Abbot Kinney, with tons of shopping, coffee shops and restaurants. Enrique made the process smooth and easy, and responded quickly to questions.

Loved our stay in this beautifully designed and comfortable private apartment. Enrique was responsive and attentive to any needs. Every detail in this apartment was just perfect and clean. Very convenient location and just a short walk to Abbot Kinney shopping and food. Given the opportunity, we'd love to live there year-round! We will definitely stay here again!

Beautiful Venice Cottage
I had the absolute best stay at this darling cottage. Enrique was nice enough to accommodate my request for early check in which I really appreciated. I felt instantly at home, and couldn't have asked for a more convenient or cooler entry point to Venice. It has everything you'd need from an uber-comfortable bed to a well-organized kitchen—and cute outside patio to sit in good weather. I loved this place so much I would live there if I could.

I loved this place! I have stayed in several other Venice properties so I knew the area and it was perfect for a combo work/play stay. There were some cleanliness and maintenance issues which the property manager is handling. However, these not not distract from the enjoyment of a beautiful space. There is plenty of room; excellent wifi for the video work I was doing; loads of storage so it felt neat and clean throughout; access to grocery store; Abbot Kinney; the beach all very easy.

Loved our stay here! There were some recent reviews regarding the construction noise next door. This was not an issue really. We heard a little hammering around 9 a.m., but it was not overly invasive. Great experience overall!

Great spot in Venice for a small family but one thing...
The place is great for a small family or couple and the layout / decor is nice. I wish the owner would have given us a heads up on the construction going on right next to us that started at 8 am, Monday to Friday. I know the construction crew was trying to be conscious of neighbors but still hard to wake up to light hammering that got progressively louder as the morning went on. Other than that, a great spot in Venice!

Some negatives to our stay
Loved the property, although it was a little dark, the small garden was rarely usable due to very noisy work directly next door where they were building a small block of flats. This also blocked the sun from the garden. The local area was quite run down. Further to walk to beach than anticipated. We would have appreciated being warned about the noise/dust level before committing to this property. The result was we felt very confined indoors, all windows and doors had to remain closed during day to block out noise and dust. We feel that financial compensation would be appropriate as we were not told in advance of the ongoing work next door. It did affect our enjoyment of our stay.

Noisy. Construction next door unfortunately made the stay uncomfortable.
Property is very nice. Very unique and decorated very well. Changing floor levels is disturbing as are the patio and walkway blocks. The ceiling fans are diffinately a plus as are the many windows. Directions for the clothes dryer and washer would be nice as would directions for the coffee maker. Microwave installation is unique but difficult to use. Enrique was very helpful and professional. His flexibility with arrival changes was exceptional.

Cozy and private cottage in Venice
The cottage is charming and cozy. Very private but still close to restaurants and shopping. Beach is a 20 minute walk. Small improvements and repairs would make this place perfect. Bigger problem is a construction site right next door. Drilling and knocking starts at 7am and goes till about 4pm. Parking is also problematic. It is not clear where it is ok to park and where it is not. All in all if you don’t care about sleeping in, this is a nice place to stay.

The perfect space away for couples. It has everything you could need for a short break or longer vacation, including toilet rolls, dishwasher and washing machine consumables, which most rentals we have done seem to lack.
We stayed here for a little over two weeks in August and made good use of the outdoor seating area and barbecue. It is very secluded and shaded and great to cool down in the evenings. There is no air-conditioning so the screened windows are helpful as they can be left open to allow in any breeze while keeping out the smaller local denizens intent on feasting on you!
We had a couple of minor issues during our stay but a quick message to Enrique via the HomeAway app soon had them resolved.
A useful tip. The apartment is located in the rear access alleyway behind a larger property, in what is a residential area with no street lighting. If you plan on going out after dark be aware, the short walk from Abbot Kinney Boulevard to the apartment is along dark streets with uneven footpaths so a torch of some sort is essential. We used our phones.
All in all, a great place to stay!

We love this place and stayed here two different times. The location can't be beat, the place is cute and clean, and it's safe and private. I only have a few things to note. If you have more than two people you will have to hang your towels over chairs, as there are only two hooks. The directions for the tv are incomplete. There are five remotes, and the directions only mention two. If we didn't have our 13-year-old with us, we never would have figured out how to just watch tv. Lastly, when we arrived both times the batteries were removed from the smoke detector. We replaced them, and the second year we were awoken at 4 am by the alarm going off. The smoke detector needs to be replaced. Other than those issues (which could very easily be addressed) it's a fabulous spot for a beach vacation.

Extremely comfortable and private property in a great Venice location. If you like to sit and talk around a comfortable table with family and friends, this place is for you. There is also a nice patio and everything about this place is comfortable and welcoming. I would definitely return to this listing in the future. Check in and communication with owner very easy.

I truly enjoyed all the stay in this so charming, stylish, private and very well located place. The host was very thoughtful since the prior days of checking in, everything was super well explained, as I didn’t need to ask him about anything. No problems at all. The place is super cute, well decorated, very spacious with a lot of storage available and clean. The abundant natural light was a big plus. Would stay there again 100% sure.

We really enjoyed our stay in Venice in this great cozy property. We were 2 adults and 2 teens - there was plenty of room. The home was a perfect base for exploring the LA area.

Had a great stay at this property in March. The cottage is as it appears in the photos and is very nicely appointed and roomy. Bed is super comfortable. The patio is cozy and everything is very private, quite and secure. Managing the hot water in the shower takes a little to get used to but just follow the directions and you'll get the hang of it.
Located just a few blocks from all the hot spots on Abbott Kinney and walkable to a major grocery store on Lincoln. A slightly longer walk gets you to the Venice beach boardwalk or just take the bikes provided.
Highly recommend and look forward to staying again.

This was our second week-long stay at the cottage while visiting family in Venice Beach. We've found it's a great jumping off spot for local activities, and equally comfortable just hanging around for some quiet time. The peaceful neighborhood setting has surprisingly easy access to the beach, local shopping, and excellent dining. We always especially enjoy strolling to Zinque on Venice Blvd. for late lunches on the patio. This year, Sunday brunch at Salt Air on Abbot-Kinney was a treat, and a delightful dinner at Centanni Trattoria is worth repeating. A visit to Pono Kitchen's patio for an excellent dinner with a stop at Jeni's Ice Cream on the way back was another memorable evening. For us, all were within an easy 10 - 20 minute walk. Other daily walking expeditions included visits to the lively and fascinating boardwalk at the beach, the famed Venice Canals, and explorations of the various shops along Abbot-Kinney. Closer to home, we enjoyed the serene, enclosed patio at the cottage for morning coffee and afternoon snacks. The cottage is completely self-contained with nice separation from the main residence. It's light, airy, filled with intriguing artwork and reading materials, and well-equipped for anything you might choose do to while there. If you have questions or need assistance, the host is easy to reach and responsive. There's no better recommendation we can give than to say this is the first place we look to book when we visit Venice Beach...
