About this villa rental
The Villa at Eastie overlooks the harbor and shipping channels, early morning lobstermen can be seen from the sunroom hauling their traps, as well as the ships coming to port. Plane bugs (id book) will love the spectacular view of Logan Int. Airport. At the end of the street is Constitution Beach. There are kayaks for the adventurous or relax in the fountain garden. Smell the sea breeze and reminisce about the politics that must have been discussed in this former Senators home. Entertain in the formal dining room under the crystal chandelier or relax and read a book on one of the balconies overlooking the harbor. The Blue line (T)(public trans) is only two blocks away and offers a ride to the airport station and free shuttle bus to your terminal, a few more stops and you are downtown for world class shopping, restaurants, museums and the Swan boats ride. The young boys absolutely loved the sun room and watching the planes take off and land. They also loved the beach combing. I loved the full access kitchen. And Nelson and Madeline are the dearest hosts.

We enjoyed staying at this home for a few days after a family wedding. It was a great location and we walked to restaurants and the beach. We also walked to the train station to go to dinner in Boston. The home was clean and beds were comfortable. Nelson and Madeline were delightful.

We had a great stay. The neighborhood is close to the T and easy to navigate. Being close to the airport was not too loud and gave the kids something to watch! The house was very clean and well maintained. It is an older home with lots of history to contemplate and beautiful architectural finishes! Two FYIs - 1) laundry is off site so takes a bit more planning but is easily accessible. 2) The hosts meet you there - they are lovely and gave great info about the house so not a negative, just an FYI. Enjoyed our stay and hope you will too!

Our family was delighted with the charm of this old house. The check in was great as the hosts welcome you and give you tips and information which is helpful. My husband enjoyed viewing the planes across the harbor. We enjoyed our stay in Boston! Thank you Nelson and Madeline!

Flew into Boston for a few days. House is 10 minutes from airport (huge plus!) but not close to subway system so we ended up using a lot of Ubers. Great view of the airport which was more fun than I anticipated. Cool old house with great character.

Our family loved watching planes take off from the airport and the location to the Orient Heights station was great for accessing the city. Nelson and Madeline were great host and very welcoming.

My family of 7 ranging in ages from 17 to married in their late 20’s went for a long weekend and happened upon this jewel. Nelson, the owner and host, met us and oriented us to his home. He is an artist and his paintings are throughout the home. We found the home clean and comfortable,
with picturesque views across the bay of the Logan Airport and the Boston skyline beyond. THAT was what truly impressed us and would likely bring us back and recommend it to others. Convenient walk to the Orient Heights T-stop puts the rest of Boston within easy reach without the need for an automobile. That said, the single space for off-street parking was appreciated. We enjoyed dinner at Vuolo’s an Italian trattoria in nearby Winthrop less than a mile away.
Thank you, Nelson, for a truly unique stay!

We had a group of me, husband, 2 young kids, and my 2 cousins. A LOT of room. Very comfortable. Great location. Watched planes, boats, 10 min walk to T rail station. House itself was an experience. Very old with lots of history. Felt that the hosts were there if needed but not intrusive.

Everything was wonderful. Top notch. The only thing I would change is to have a shower curtain for the shower. It ended up being fine without one, but could be a shock for some people at first. But even without a shower curtain, I would stay there again! Great old house, full of character, and so fun watching the planes take off and land over the view of the water. Wonderful hosts!

It was great. Interesting period house. Across an inlet from the airport - kids loved watching the planes. Very convenient to the blue line (free because Sumner Tunnel is closed). We did everything on our list of Boston things to do - and more!

This home exceeded our expectations! Charming home was comfortable with plenty of room for our family of 8. Beautiful view of airport/harbor from front enclosed porch. Enjoyed watching ships come and go as well as planes landing and taking off. Nelson and Madeline greeted us at check in and responded to a few questions during the week. Definitely recommend this home!!

Our family met in Boston for Thanksgiving and we loved staying in this beautiful home. Our favorite room was the sun room where we were able to watch the planes take off and land at the airport. Besides being conveniently located near the airport, there were many restaurants and markets in the neighborhood. The owners were welcoming and helpful. It was a very lovely, unique visit.

You get what you see and more. Location, views and ease of transportation is all great. Our hosts were extremely friendly, the home is old and charming, and the people and city of Boston was clean and welcoming. If you want modern, stay elsewhere, if you appreciate the heritage, that is Boston, book with the Nelsons

The location was absolutely perfect. Easy access to transportation into Downtown attractions and a beautiful spacious place to return after sightseeing. This was our family's first time visiting Boston and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thank you to Nelson and Madeline (as well as very friendly and helpful neighbors) for explaining all we needed to know about how to navigate the city! If you are looking for a beautiful, spacious, relaxing space while visiting Boston we highly recommend.

Historic home in a great location
My sisters (3), 2 nieces and I enjoyed the location of this house. It was a short walk to the subway and we bought a 7 day pass to travel into the city. We travelled to Fenway and Harvard that way. We had breakfast every morning in the sunroom then headed to the subway. We walked about 5-7 miles a day then came back in the late afternoon. We enjoyed the upstairs balcony for happy hour and relaxing. We utilized Grub Hub and Instacart for food deliveries. Belle Isle does take out and only accepts cash. It was very good. Also, Odyssey Grill had yummy pizza and salads. Nelson was very informative about the area and we enjoyed our stay immensely.

Birthday Celebration
We chose Nelson and Madeline's Villa for our son's 30th birthday celebration because it was the perfect size to accommodate our family of 6 adults. The house was in a great location, right across from the bay, where you can sit in the sunroom and watch the planes come and go, sip coffee in the morning, and cocktails in the evening. It's a beautiful space to enjoy.
There's no need to rent a car since the house is so close to the T station which makes it easy to get around anywhere you want to go in Boston.
The artwork in this historic home is gorgeous, all painted by the owner, Nelson. We had the pleasure of meeting he and his wife Madeline and they are as lovely as their home. We had a fantastic time.

Beautiful historic home with amazing views in East Boston
The owners greeted us and gave us a brief tour of their lovely historic home. The century old charmer is beautifully appointed with period antiques and the amazing paintings of the owner Nelson Emmons. It is a perfect home for a family vacation with easy access to all areas of Boston. We all loved to sit on the sunporch and watch the planes at Logan International Airport. The views of Boston are phenominal at night and you can even see the sunset. Constitution Beach with a lifeguard on duty is nearby. There are great restaurants in East Boston most deliver. I would recommend Donna's for breakfast it has a great feel with excellent food.

With 4 people attempting to work from home, relocation was necessary during renovations. This was a lovely place to stay with fabulous views, great walks, and a variety of ethnic foods to sample. House was spacious and thoughtfully decorated, including paintings by owner. House was slightly dusty/musty to start (which I would attribute to underuse during pandemic), but aired out quickly.Amazing to watch all the planes but not hear them when you want to sleep! Don’t miss sunset over the Boston skyline.

Wonderful location, plenty of space
Wonderful multi-family trip to Boston! Beautiful home right on the water, great views, easy to downtown and airport. Lots of room for everyone in our group (5 adults 6 kids). Home is filled with breakables and nicer furniture. Maybe not the best place for rambunctious kids. Nelson and Madeleine we're good hosts, even providing packnplays for us. Would definitely return and recommend!

Always a Pleasure!
I have stayed at this property for business but staying for vacation was much better! My family loved everything about having their own rooms and being in walking distance of either the train or restaurants like Belle Isle (seen on Anthony Bourdain). A bonus is that Nelson is an amazing artist so it was nice to take in the artwork museum style and picking some favorites. We already decided we will try to come back to Boston soon and this is where we will stay!

Great View
The property was very spacious...plenty of room for the 7 people we had. The view of the Boston sky line and bay was amazing. Though we were close to the airport, the noise was very minimal and it was fun to watch the planes taking off and landing. Great hosts...very accommodating!

Great House
The house was amazing! A room for everyone, and living space to meet every need. Our favorite room was the sun room where we enjoyed the view of the Boston skyline, harbor and planes. Flowers were beginning to bloom everywhere, even in the trees, it was all so beautiful. Riding trains was new to us but the station was a short walk from the house, and after buying a 7 day ticket, we enjoyed traveling around Boston with ease. We were here because my husband ran in the Boston Marathon, a lifetime memory for sure, the experience was amazing. We enjoyed everything about our visit to Boston.

Amazing rental!!!!
We simply can’t overstate how much we loved staying in this property. The ambiance was spectacular, a hundred year old house on the bay, beautifully decorated with art by the owner, wood accents that were museum worthy, a fully stocked kitchen and more. Access to Boston was a snap via a recently upgraded T station. Beds were comfortable. We spent quite a bit of time sipping wine in the sun porch watching traffic come and go at Logan. The owners were lovely and met us to provide some history. You won’t be disappointed.

Charming home was perfect for our family trip to Boston area
Everything was perfect for our family trip. The house was very clean, spacious, and well furnished. Loved all the artwork and decor. Sunroom was the most used with the great views of the harbor and watching the planes take off and land. Beds were very comfortable. Kitchen was perfect also. Too cold for sitting out on porch, but can see how that would be a plus as well. Thank you for allowing us to share your home!
