About this cabin rental
The perfect getaway in a perfect location...maybe for a week or two,,,or more...or maybe just a long weekend...any time of year.
Less than three hours from Boston.
Less than five hours from New York City.
The perfect size group would be one, two or three adult couples with maybe up to five or six little ones.
Our oversized log cabin will accommodate up to seven couples or one or two families. While there are only two "conventional" bedrooms in this three level log home (one of which is part of a completely separate "mother-in-law apartment" on the lower level of the house), there is also a fully enclosed queen size private sleeping loft ... plus a tiny (but still queen size) room that we call "the cave" because the roof of the house slopes down into it...there is plenty of sleeping room for two adults or two little ones in "the cave"... but no standing up or dancing around...unless you happen to be under four feet tall (think "sleeping quarters" in the cabin of a boat...minus the motion of the ocean). Again, all four of these private spaces are queen size.
Our winter guests enjoy skiing at Okemo (seven miles away) or Killington, the largest ski area in the East (20 miles away). Bromley, Magic and Stratton are also well within striking distance. Cross-country skiing on innumerable prepared snowmobile trails that cris-cross our area. Even horse drawn sleigh rides are available.
Summer and Fall Foliage vacationers have all that Vermont has to offer close at hand. Hiking, biking, horseback riding, tennis, golf, antique hunting and even Old-Time Locomotive Train rides are all nearby.
Swimming, boating and fishing are all to be found on Lake Ninevah, with more than 100 acres of pristine wilderness lake to explore and enjoy. Our canoe, two kayaks and a fishing dinghy are all included in Summer and Fall Foliage Rentals.

This property was a great fit for my group for our annual Super Bowl ski trip. We hit 5 mountains in 5 days all of which were under an hour away. Bill checked in with me a few times as well. We would definitely come back.

We stayed at this cabin after coming across on it on Vrbo and it was the best choice. Rustic and roomy cabin, we enjoyed the wooded property, fishing and hiking near by.
Communication with the host was superb!
I only wished I stayed longer!

Great location in between Killington and Okemo ski resorts, and great cabin atmosphere.

Wow, we were amazed by this property from the second we entered the home. There was already a fire started, and serene beautiful music playing. Everyone in my group could not stop talking about what a wonderful find Bill's home was. The two kitchens were well stocked, the entire place was pristine and clean, and overall it was super cozy and relaxing. We look forward to returning in the future for more family/friend ski trips!

House is on a beautiful piece of land close to Okemo. Its main strength is its charm and quirkiness. This is not a perfectly appointed house and may turn off some renters. But, we loved its rustic beauty and felt like we were having an adventure. It may not look it, but it's highly functional in its utilities. Maybe pack your favorite bedding for a little more comfort. The owner is very responsive and accomodating.

We booked this property for a superbowl weekend at Okemo. Great proximity to the mountain, great wifi, enough hot water for all guests, enough heat to keep us warm in 5° weather, and a very communicative host. Highly recommended!

My husband and I absolutely loved the time we spent here with our 2 dogs and cat. The house was very clean and well-stocked with everything we needed for the month, including plenty of firewood for the colder days. The property is beautiful and blissfully quiet; we loved walking the trail in back of the house with the pups every morning, enjoying the fall foliage. Bill, the Owner, is super friendly, provided detailed information regarding the cabin and surrounding area, and was always quick to respond to any questions we had. We highly recommend this property and would definitely stay there again. Thank you Bill and Valerie!

Plenty of beds. 2 fireplaces. All the cookwares you need for the trip. Very nice and responsive owner. We all had a great time staying 3 nights for okemo snowboarding. Some beds can get a little cold in the mornings. Also maybe a bigger dinning area would be great. Thanks Bill.
