Easy check in with lockbox, they also had many pool towels and sand toys which was nice to have. They had paper products there at the house already which was great to have along with cleaning supplies for dishwasher & laundry. Great location being next to Rum point beach but was noisy at night given we went over Easter holiday. We enjoyed our week long stay!

The property is well apponted. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to cook. The appliances are up to date. I would certainly recommend this property to anyone staying at Rum Point.

Clean, comfortable, and has everything you need and then some. Basically private beach is steps away, as well as a good restaurant. Cindy, the host, is extremely accomodating and so responsive. Loved everything about this place. Would definitely come again.

3 families, 2 condo’s. Ours was #32, this property. Review from a mom’s perspective. First-CLEAN! Like 5 star + clean. We travel a lot and have never had a beach condo so perfectly clean. Condo Amenities-perfect! Enough casual seating that is actually comfortable, 2.5 baths (en suite for both bedrooms and 1/2 bath in hall). Kitchen well appointed (admittedly we only ate breakfast in condo) and table was big enough (can’t tell
You how many times we rented a 6 person condo but table sat only 4). Technically only 3 of us this trip but we travelled w 2 other families and kids are kids and love other peoples food lol. Property-absolutely beautiful and peaceful with rum point dock basically right outside your door and kaibo dock a short 5 minute drive. Every single day workers were on the property trimming, cleaning sargassum from beach (yes there was a lot, can’t fight Mother Nature). Beach due to sargassum not really a swimming beach but if you swim out, fantastic snorkeling. Location-this one is subjective. Everything (7MB, restaurants, turtle farm, Georgetown etc) roughly an hour drive each way. We absolutely knew this going in and didn’t mind the drive each day for whatever we were up to. We are not people to sit around so we did it all and drove every day. Peaceful mornings and the fact that we chartered a boat and it picked us up right at rum point dock was fabulous. Also did a bioluminescent boat tour that picked us up from kaibo. Owner-so nice and always responded very quickly to any questions I had before our stay and during. 100% would rent this property again!!!

The property was clean and perfect for our family of four. I could have thrown a rock from our balcony and hit the ocean. The snorkeling right from the beach was terrific. I saw turtles, angel fish, parrot fish, stingrays, lobster, tarpon, flounder, starfish, and a nurse shark.

Great spot, nothing to do, no noise, no kids. Just what we needed.
The place itself needs a major update.
The bed and bedding was old, worn and the bed itself is shot.
The living room chairs and couches were also terrible. Just old and worn.
TV s / cable / internet / instructions and quality of the 2 systems were wonky at best.
All in all it’s a great place.
If updated furnishings and a little TLC, the place would be a gem.
One potential problem as you overlook a construction project so you hear heavy equipment all day.

Cindy's condo was perfect for my wife, two teens and myself. Great location for beaching, snorkeling & excursions. Fully stocked kitchen made cooking in easy. Home base for a great vacation!

Beautiful, homey property with all the amenities you need. It is on the beach and the area is well maintained. it is located right next to Rum Point and very close to Cayman Kai and the Starfish Point.

Clean and nicely furnished
The owner was easy to work with and very helpful. Rum point was closed so it was very quiet at night. Nice beach with chairs and daily beach raking. The condo was well equipped with paper products and basic spices. A shallow sandy entry is good for wading. Snorkeling is good once you get out deeper. You can snorkel along the rock wall about 30 yards out. For a better snorkel experience with bigger fish, corals and fans, get in beside the pier next door to the right, swim out around the end of the pier, and swim left parallel to the beach out past the point. Then turn toward the rum point pier and swim until you are near that pier. Then you can swim or wade back to the beach in front of the retreat.

So relaxing
Very clean property. Great property manager who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was relaxing. Rum Point bar is closed which actually made it really quiet. The gym was in rough shape but did not mind. Would for sure go back.

Quiet Stay
Unit was very clean and well equipped . Much quieter stay than years past while Rum Point club is closed. We missed the ease of eating out but the peace and quiet was also nice. Kitchen had everything we needed.

Great snorkeling, cozy condo
Overall we had a great stay here. The condo is nicely, thoughtfully outfitted with every dish you'd want, pool floaties, laundry soap, board games, etc. Clean and comfortable with a homey feel. From this location, with some short walks you can do some of the best snorkeling-from-shore of anywhere in Grand Cayman. My family had a blast walking to Cayman Kai beach access and drift-snorkeling back to the condo from there. Hubby saw a shark, rays, lots of corals.
Very responsive renter/manager on VRBO - thanks so much for answering all of our questions, and so quickly! :-)
I do feel I should mention that the "stunning ocean views" here are just barely a view of the ocean from the condo. You have to sit in a specific part of the porch to see a bit of water through some palm trees. And the window looks out on the Rum Point beach which (when it is reopened) might be busy at times. Pretty, but not like the wide-open, wondrous ocean views we've enjoyed from other rentals on Grand Cayman. (The condo complex's beach itself, on the other hand, is very pretty and does have a stunning ocean view.)
Overall, I'd describe this condo as a good value: cozy, a fun location if you like snorkeling and an "off the beaten path" vibe, but part of a complex that is rather dated. The pool especially felt disappointing -- large and probably once beautiful, but not very clean, including the water and the old loungers there. The condo itself was clean and well equipped. A nice base for exploring!

Wonderful spot away from the crowds
Everything about our stay was wonderful: from easy communications with the owner to a lovely appointed unit to a secluded picturesque beach.

Paradise
Our visit to Rum Point was fantastic. The condo was beautiful, very clean, had everything necessary for our stay and was in a great location. Cindy was super fast to reply to questions before our arrival and very easy to communicate with on island. Would love to come back another year and stay here. The beach is perfection. We couldn't ask for a better place to stay!
