Lhoy and Jean són fantàstics. Ens han tractat com si fossim de la seva família. L'esmorzar i el sopar molt bons, em disfrutat molt. Recomano també el lloc per la seva ubicació. Si veniu a Bohol no hi ha lloc millor. Bravo! Marc& Rebeca

Hostel med familjekänsla

Familjen är jätte vänliga och hjälpsamma, det är en fin gemenskap och många skratt. De har en egen tuktuk och moppe man kan hyra. Omgivningarna är jättefina, det finns många fina utflykter dit man kan ta sig med tuktuk eller moppe.

Amazing!

The amazing hosts of this hostel make it feel like you are visiting family! They are super nice and helpful. Lhoy gives a lot of tips about activities in the region and also has some special activities which only he knows. Jean cooks very nice breakfast and dinner everyday, which all the guests at the hostel eat at the same time. This makes it easy to meet people and it is very nice and social.

The hostel has the perfect location for exploring Bohol. Lhoy and Jean are very welcoming and give you great recommendations for exploring Bohol. In general, the hostel is very clean and cosy. The breakfast and dinner are very tasty. The best Filipino food on my trip so far. Scooter hire is easy.

Best accommodation EVER

Everything about this place… the family who runs it are the most loving and amazing people, the food they cook for you is breathtaking, the location and accommodation is perfect especially with the REALLY REALLY good tips from the owners. 100/10 would recommend

PERFECT stay

Just PERFECT! Lhoy and Jean are amazing human beings. The room is perfect for the price! it has a fan and the bed is really good! the garden is BEAUTIFUL and everything is so clean!! also they make breakfast and dinner for really good price and jean is an excellent cooker! i loved staying here! totally recommend! and is really near chocolate hills.

Merveilleux séjour chez Lhoy et Jean

Nous avons passé 4 nuits chez Lhoy et Jean. Nous avons été très bien reçus, l’ambiance est familiale et Lhoy et Jean sont vraiment aux petits soins pour leurs invités. Possibilité de prendre les petits déjeuners et les repas du soir sur place. Tout est fait maison avec les légumes du jardin et la nourriture est délicieuse. La literie dans la cabane est confortable. Possibilité de prendre des excursions avec Lhoy qui nous conduit dans les plus beaux endroits de l’île de Bohol à visiter. L’hébergement se situe à proximité des Chocolate Hills. Nous recommandons ce logement pour visiter l’île de Bohol Merci à Lhoy et Jean pour votre accueil et votre gentillesse !

un paradis sur batuan... à découvrir absolument!

je n'ai pas de mot pour décrire cette famille autant accueillante. la meilleur nourriture que j'ai manger aux phillipines. tout venait de leur jardin. l'énergie de lhoy qui connaît bohol comme le fond de sa poche il offre un hike dans son village d'enfance pour voir les chocolates hills ... c'est à couper le souffle. vous vous sentirez accueillis comme la famille automatiquement en arrivant ils vont vous diriger avec une liste des trucs à voir dans la région. cet endroit est le plus bel établissement que j'ai pu aller dans toute les philippines!!

Comme à la maison chez des hôtes exceptionnels

Nous avons passé un séjour inoubliable chez Lhoy et Jean ! Ils nous ont accueillis chez eux comme des amis. Tous les matins et soirs Jean cuisine et nous mangeons avec les autres guests dans une ambiance familiale. C’est toujours bon et copieux ! Juste à côté de la guesthouse on peut voir des lucioles le soir (gratuitement). Super emplacement pour visiter les célèbres Chocolate Hills au lever ou au coucher du soleil. On ne peut que recommander cette adresse sur Bohol. Encore merci pour tout !!

A family away from home

This was the most authentic Filipino experience I had during my months travel throughout the islands. Jean and Lloyd were so hospitable when I booked my stay ten minutes before arriving. The bed was already made up and they cooked me a delicious Filipino dinner on arrival. They're keen for their guests to feel like part of the family and are very social, telling us all about Filipino culture and showing us various different things to try. Jean also cooked me an authentic and tasty breakfast accompanied by homemade cocoa and homemade spring rolls. I honestly couldn't of asked for anything else from a host. The location is also perfect if you want to rent a motorcycle and explore the chocolate hills as well as other areas like waterfalls and tarsiers.

Un séjour authentique et inoubliable !

Tout était parfait ! Une vraie immersion dans la nature et au sein d’un village authentique. On se sentait comme à la maison. L’accueil, les repas, le petit déjeuner cuisinés par Jean étaient fantastiques. Lhoy et Jean ont su se rendre disponibles et nous aider pour différents transferts en taxi/tuk-tuk. Felt like coming home to family

It was like coming home to family—from the time they greeted us when we arrived to when they sent us off. Ate Jean was always so welcoming and Kuya Lhoy super patient! He gave us a tour and was very accommodating to our requests. Super thank you!

LOVED IT!

If you’re considering staying here, just do it! Absolutely amazing family, Lhoy and Jean really look after you and help you with tours, transport and suggestions of what to see around bohol. The little hut is basic but lovely, it’s all you need and a good price for a private room!

You couldn’t have asked for anything better for the price you are paying.

Very kind and good service. The meals served here is better than anything served outside. Ask for eggplant! Loloy can help you with transportation and tours for a very reasonable price. Free wifi which is possibly the best you can get for the rural area (while cellular data is spotty). Even managed to do a urgent Teams meeting call with no hiccups.

Roosters may crow at 3am in the morning. Ask for earplugs if you have issues.

A home away from home

Amazing homely hostel. The hosts are so helpful and give such detailed information on all trips, including underrated things we’d never heard of. The location is very central and easily accessible by bus. You can rent a bike here too. Dinner and breakfast is an additional fee but very worth the money, it felt like being at home. Good social area to meet other guests when eating dinner.

Nothing - the WiFi dropped out at times but this was no problem.

A true homestay!

Lhoy and Jean were one of the best host we had in the philippines. You have to eat dinner there at some point, cheap price to get one of the best and diverse local meal we had. Even tho you stay in huts and the comfort room is separate, they spend hours cleaning everything in the morning so that there is no bugs, spiders or else. Lhoy has scooters to rent and a tricycle to help his guests. When you arrive, he has a small presentation where he suggest the best attractions, touristic and non touristic spots to go in bohol. We followed his recomandations for 2 days and the island was great!

It's a small ride from the bus station or main road but he picked us up with his tricycle!

Lovely owners, simple but really nice bungalows, quiet and remote location but close to chocolate hills by bike. Also the food was great and we got to try many different things. You can just tell that Lhoy and Jean want you to have the best time possible.

Great experience!

Our stay at the hostel was awesome. We didn't have the best weather, but the owners Lhoy and Jean made the stay really unique and enjoyable. The food was tasty, we got to try fresh fruits and cocoa drinks. Lhoy took us on a hike with a nice view on the chocolate hills while avoiding large groups of tourists. Locationwise the hostel is superb and the most interesting locations are easily reachable with a scooter. The bungalos are simple, yet comfy and we didn't have any problems with mosquitos. Overall I can absolutely recommend this homestay for people that are looking for an adventurous experience in Bohol!
