My husband and children ( 2 young adults) enjoyed our stay in this property in Freeport. The house was clean and had everything ( clean linens, towels, cooking utensils/dishes) we needed for our 4 night stay. Although the weather did not allow much backyard time in the evening to use the firepit area, the porch had comfortable furniture that we enjoyed use of in the morning. The location is close to town and allowed us the opportunity to walk into town on sidewalks and avoid the parking and traffic. It was also a great location which allowed us to travel and spend time in Portland and Boothbay Harbor. The owner was easy to contact and answered all my questions quickly prior to booking. We would return again to this property and would recommend to our family/friends.

Cottage was in ideal location to walk to shops & restaurants. It was an easy drive to reach coastal communities and Portland. The photos of the backyard don’t do it justice - it was even more lovely and serene.
For older folks, it’s important to know the bedrooms are upstairs and the only bathroom is down.
Kitchen equipment is a hodge podge. Lacking an easy/ convenient coffee maker ( like an easy to use drip machine or Kuerig); only a few mason jars for drinkware. Basic appliance instructions would be helpful.

Lovely proximity to Freeport town centre. Walked to restaurants in the evening and greeted by friendly people. Great places to explore around the coast too

The perfect location, 15 min walk to downtown shops and restaurants, also right off highway/easy access, but quiet /pleasant neighborhood. House was stocked with everything you need, fantastic! Great backyard for relaxing. The whole family enjoyed the stay!

We needed a small place to stay for two months while we helped our daughter with her new twins. The location was perfect. A quick walk into the cute town of Freeport. Nice restaurants. Close to our daughter’s in Brunswick.
Tom is great with communication. Answers immediately. Easy check in and check out.
It worked out perfect for us. 👍

We did not realize the house was 2 stories with the bedrooms were upstairs and bathroom downstairs. The stairs were difficult for us to navigate. Had I known about it being multiple stories, I would not have booked this house. It was clean and comfortable for the 3 days we were there. The house was small but it fit our needs and was very convenient to shopping which we came to Freeport to do.

The house was small but provided all the essentials for a weeks stay. Within walking distance to shops and restaurants but slightly farther than expected. There are sidewalks the entire way. My husband and I stayed but the house would definitely have accommodated our two kids as well. We’ll definitely consider staying here again when we visit Freeport in the future.

We had a great experience at this cozy home in Freeport. The house was as advertised and was a very easy walk into town to shops and restaurants. The fully fenced yard was great for our dog, too.

This place was perfect for us! It had everything we needed and was so close to the venue where the wedding was. The house was absolutely clean and tidy, perfectly and thoughtfully appointed, and quiet. Outstanding. If we are ever back in the neighborhood, we would love to stay here again!

We really enjoyed our stay in this house. It is small, but had everything we needed and a lot of care was put into making it comfortable. The fenced backyard was great for our dog, and we enjoyed being able to walk to town.

This is a perfect house for adventuring in and around Freeport. It's cosy, has all the amenities you need, including a great backyard for my dogs to roam in. It's easily walkable to LL Bean and nearby stores, and is a quick drive to and from Portland. Thanks so much for a great stay!

Beautiful little house, just the right size for three. My cousins and I did a long weekend here and explored Freeport. We walked into town for the day and did a quick drive to the grocery store to get some last minute things to bake a pie (oven worked great). It’s a very cozy and clean place to stay. Check in and check out process was wicked easy, would definitely stay here again.

I stayed here with my 2 children while they attended LL Bean camp, and I worked during the day while walking into Freeport to shop or grab lunch. The house was comfortable, in a great location, and had everything we needed for a great stay. We had a small issue with the dryer not working, which was a bit of an inconvenience, but the owners were very responsive and apologetic. We are already planning a return visit for next year.

We enjoyed our stay here. Despite some last minute circumstances in our lives that almost torpedoed our vacation we were able to spend a splendid 5 nights here. We enjoyed hiking at nearby State Parks and close by in Portland, as well as the niceties in Freeport, which we could walk to. The property is as advertised. Cozy, comfortable. You don't really need a lot of space if you don't plan on hanging out all day. Thanks!

Excellent place
We were pleasantly surprised at how convenient the location was to downtown and since we brought our dog the school sports field was right next door to walk him. Overall a great place! A half bath upstairs would have been nice but that’s about it

Would stay here again
We had such a wonderful stay at this cozy cottage. The home is beautiful with lots of space. The deck and backyard were wonderful spots to relax in. The cottage is located on a very quiet street and really close to all the shops and restaurants in Freeport. The only thing that surprised us was that the home is two story. It wasn’t an issue for us, but could be for some. The check in/check out process was so easy. We would stay here again if the opportunity arises.

Wonderful Stay!
We’ve always wanted to go to Maine and since we couldn’t visit our cottage for the second summer in a row due to the pandemic, we thought it was the perfect time. The house is adorable and all we needed for our stay. Close to the town where we enjoyed shopping and lots of lobster! Enjoyed a nice night with the fire pit in the backyard and ate s’mores. Just what our family of four needed! Everything was clean and many items available for our use. Thank you! Would definitely stay here again if we return (which we definitely want to do)!

Fantastic location - LOVED the backyard
We had a great stay. It is in a fantastic location in Freeport, which has lots of things to do but also is very close to neighboring beaches/tourist attractions. We brought out dogs and toddler, so the fenced in backyard gave us a chance to relax when back at the house. Would definitely stay again!

Nice cozy house for a short stay
We had 2 couples stay here for a few nights - the house and rooms are small but have all the essentials. Bathroom was pretty small and felt old, but did the job and the hosts provide travel sized shampoo/conditioner. The dining room AC did not seem to work but the upstairs units did.
The house and fully fenced backyard were great for us and our small dog to run around in. Really convenient location off the highway and within walking distance to the restaurants/shops in Freeport main area. We came in the summer when school was out, so no traffic or congestion at all. Beware of hordes of mosquitos if you walk to the middle school field area around dusk.

Convenient
Picked Freeport to be able to enjoy short day trips to the north and south without spending all our time getting from a remote rental. This location did not disappoint! In a quiet neighborhood but just a stones throw to the highway and a short walk to Freeport’s shops and restaurants.

Great location, older home
This property is located in a nice neighborhood. It is within walking distance to the beautiful town of Freeport, with its lovely restaurants, shops and L.L. Bean. The house itself is cozy enough. It has a good sized deck and backyard; great for entertaining and relaxing. The 2 bedrooms are adequately sized. The bathroom is on the first floor, and we found it to be not that clean. The shower curtain was pink on the bottom from soap scum. The kitchen is dated, the appliances are older. There were no wine glasses, only one roll of paper towels and very few dish towels. The house overall always seemed a bit damp/musty (even with air conditioning). 3.5 out of 5 stars.

Cute Cottage Central to Everything
We had a wonderful vacation in Freeport. The cottage offered all of the comforts of home in walking distance to shops, restaurants, and more. Family friendly quiet neighborhood. Nice backyard for relaxing. Pretty flowers added a welcoming touch. We would love to come back and stay.

Perfect location and adorable house!
House was great, we could easily walk into downtown Freeport in less than 15 minutes, quiet street but very near major highways to get you anywhere else you needed to go. House was as advertised - cute and perfect for a family of four. Was great for our dogs, as we could just let them out into the backyard that had a high fence all around. Did not get a chance to use the fire pit, so we will have to return. One note, as I know this might matter to some people: the one bathroom is on the first floor while bedrooms are on the second floor. Was fine for us though. Kitchen was nicely stocked (including a bowl of fresh apples :) ). Would definitely stay there again.

Pick this home!
Inviting and well thought out, has many extra comforts, games, books, Freeport information, extra comfy high quality beds, well lit reading chair, excellent kitchen tools/necessities, garden beds were freshly turned, quick honest hospitality. Nice quiet location close to town!
Thank you!!

Absolutely beautiful home!
We loved our little weekend away from home so much! This home was so beautiful and had many really fun little attributes. There were board games, and a roku tv so you can sign into any of your movie or show service accounts (Netflix, Redbox, Hulu...) and watch whatever you like. We did a puzzle and board game weekend so it was nice to have those options too! There was a large fenced in backyard which our dogs loved running in, and we are so grateful the owners allowed our fur kids to come with us to their home. The bed we stayed in was very comfortable, and the home was provided to us in sparkling clean condition. The check-in and check-out instructions were very detailed and simple to follow, and we would absolutely recommend this home to anyone! Also, it was on a quiet, dead-end street, which was really lovely since we had dogs with us. About a mile away was a huge downtown area with such great food and shopping. There was even an outlet mall area and lots of the places were dog friendly. Couldn't have had a more enjoyable stay!

Book it! This house was very comfortable and well appointed. Perfect choice for a home base!
This darling little house has everything you need and more. It was just what we needed for a week's stay in Freeport, visiting family in the area and a high school reunion. The house was a delight to find, with comfortable beds, nice linens, and a well done rustic modern decor. The kitchen has everything you need to cook a nice dinner or enjoy an Italian sandwich with guests. We enjoyed walking into the village every morning to see what was new on the sale racks and watching the leaves turn color. Despite chilly weather, we were never cold, while the house stayed cool for the last couple days of the Indian Summer. We accidentally locked ourselves out the house, but the owners were very gracious about it and quickly had a new key waiting in the lock box for us when we returned. There is a middle school right behind the house, so there was a little bit of traffic in the morning and afternoon, but it wasn't loud or off putting in any way. It was fun to feel like a local living in a normal neighborhood and not be in the hotel row down the road. Thank-you for letting us stay in your darling saltbox, it was the perfect thing to make our trip a success!
