Quiet stay in a chic Japanese style modern hotel

The hotel is located a short walking distance from Shijo Karasuma station which connects you to Kyoto station in around 6 minutes, and a big bus terminal makes it easy to go anywhere within the city. The building itself, as well as the facilities and rooms, are very chic and moderate, with a relaxed vibe. I chose this hotel because I have already stayed at Resol in another part of the city and I love the interior of the rooms complete with tatami mats on top of all the other usual amenities you could expect. The beds and pillows are very comfortable, the design of the rooms outstanding and value for money is amazing. Really very recommendable hotel in all aspects, staff is extremely polite and attentive as well.

I have really nothing to add here, the pictures speak for themselves and you get everything that the description promises - the hotel is chic, clean, quiet and well located.

Man får meget for pengene

Meget rent med fine faciliteter som gratis kaffe/cacao samt fri benyttelse af mikroovn. Det er muligt selv at benytte vaskemaskine/tørretumbler meget billigt ( 400 yen ialt for 30 min vask og 30 min tørring) Få af personalerne taler godt engelsk og er meget hjælpsomme.

Madrasserne for hårde til min smag og i et “twin-room” ligger madrasserne side om side, og sengerammen kan ikke skilles ad.

La decoración de la habitación, excelente. Muy lindo el hall.

Me hubiera gustado experimentar un desayuno típico y el desayunador era con estilo italiano, pero todo era muy rico. Llegaba olor a cigarrillo a la ventana de la habitación porque abajo había un patio para fumadores.

A nice place to stay in Kyoto

The self-check-in worked well - the process of getting your room goes very quickly. The negative of that is it is pretty impersonal - you never really talk to anyone associated with the hotel. The hotel is in a good location for catching buses to various attractions. The rooms are a bit small with no drawers or closet space, but the beds were comfortable and it was quiet.

A pleasant stay in Kyoto !

- Beautiful place with traditional vibes in the heart of the city. - Respectful, helpful and nice staff - Free access to laundry for a cheap price - A room with everything you might need - Comfortable and clean - Quiet I would definitely recommend the place

- Room are a bit small - Depending on where you are located in the hotel probably, no views and so not sunlight (although a good work has been done with artificial lights) - Bathrooms looking a bit “cheap” - Housekeeping done only once every 2 days (but they still give you new towels and goodies and clean-up the trash) - No room service

Comfortable stay with polite staff

The location is good, within walking distance from the Shiji subway Karasuma station. There are plenty of convenience stores around the area and also a couple of coin laundry places around if you are unable to use the 2 washing machines at the hotel. The size of the room is a little small, you would not be able to open your big luggages fully if you have more than one. But it is still comfortable with power points at each side of the bed. The staff are polite and do their best to answer your queries. Lots of dining options around the hotel.

Sia come sono fatte le camere, rispetto a tokyo leggermente piu grandi, sia tutti i sali da bagno , l acqua che ti mettono tutti i giorni, insomma i dettagli che hai compresi nella stanza.

Dovrebbe aggiornare le foto della facciata dell hotel e la posizione che si attiva con Google maps. È un po’ nascosto perché non sta sulla via principale e ha un ristorante ITALIANO proprio in entrata. Ragazzi se vedete il ristorante è giusto! Io navigato non ci dava di entrare per arrivare ma continuava a farci girare in tondo , penso sia un problema del punto di arrivo che parte dal link.. poi invece magari non prendeva a noi non saprei.

La decoración, comfort, iluminacion, las "amenities", ubicacion, calidad y atencion. Ademas el te matcha en la habitacion y cafe gratis en zona común.

No hay mesa aunque me prestaron una. La habitacion es algo pequeña aunque la cama no. En general todo estaba muy bien. Era mi segunda reserva alli.

A good blend of value for money, location and style!

About a 5 minute walk to the city centre. Slightly isolated but because of that, it's quiet and lovely. Modern/chic interior with some clever use of Tatami mats (so remove your shoes before entering) and Shoji screens to give it the Kyoto flair. Bed and bathroom wise, they fit taller folks well (I'm 182cm). Lovely addition is Uji matcha and instructions to prepare them in the room AND free coffee in the lobby.

The hotel is designed so that from the only entrance/exit at ground level, you'll have to walk down some stairs (or take the elevator) to B1 (lobby) then go on another lift to your room. Not a deal breaker honestly since we explored Kyoto during off season. But I can expect some delays when it's peak tourist season.

Sehr schönes und modernes Hotel im japanisches Stil gehalten. Wir haben uns wirklich sehr wohl gefühlt. Auch das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir hatten zudem eine Massage auf dem Zimmer und auch diese war sehr angenehm und entspannt. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen.

Das Zimmer war mit Koffern etwas klein.

Todo en perfecto estado, cama muy cómoda, presión del agua en la ducha perfecta, servicios de todo lo necesario a la mano, transporte público cercano, silencio total por las noches.

Bona ubicació per poder descobrir Kyoto

Molt bonic i acollidor l'hotel, el personal va estar molt atent en tot moment, i eren molt agradables. L'habitació era molt bonica, i perfecte per una parella.

Com la gran majoria de les habitacions d'hotel de Japó, no disposen de gaire espai. L'espai era molt just, però amb organització et pots arreglar. L'únic petit inconvenient era el tema de l'esmorzar, crec que no encaixa gaire el restaurant que disposa l'hotel amb el lloc, i el que ofereixen per menjar encara menys. Si tornés una altre vegada no dubtaria en anar al mateix hotel, però aquest cop m'estalviaria l'esmorzar, ja que pots trobar moltes altres opcions de menjar. Al final sol oferien 4 tipus diferents d'entrepa fred i uns bols d'amanida per així poder-ho acompanyar, si demanaves l'esmorzar per emportar, sol tenies els entrepans, crec que era insuficient, però amb això repeteria sens dubte amb l'hotel.

Great spot for seeing Kyoto, good coffee, comfy room size and beds

Good location, 5 min walk to train station and walkable to all the main areas. We didn’t have breakfast but loved the complimentary coffee from the machine, it was surprisingly tasty! Good laundry facilities, really comfy bed. Very helpful staff who booked our luggage transfer to Osaka.

Localisation pratique et très belle décoration pour un séjour fantastique !

Très bon séjour avec un emplacement idéal pour visiter Kyoto. La chambre est petite mais bien aménagée avec un lit confortable et très propre. Le lobby et la chambre sont très bien décorés avec un style traditionnel japonais et moderne à la fois. Nous avons également apprécié les amenities avec notamment le prêt de pyjama. Pas de bruit extérieur, nous avons passé une nuit très calme. Je recommande vivement.

I have made this "My choice" of places to stay the next time I go to Kyoto!!

The location is one block back of of the Main St so you do not hear any street noise. There are many little local restaurants to choose from within a 1 block area. And it is a 4 to 5 minute walk to the transit system.

NOTHING!!!!! The place was perfect and there were some families staying there as well as business people.

It’s my second time coming back here. As usual the environment, cleanliness, friendly and helpful staffs, comfy beds make the whole experience feels wonderful. And the location is great ! Bus stop and train station nearby.

Bonito diseño pero muy oscuro

El alojamiento está correcto y el diseño es bonito. La ubicación es buena y central.

El desayuno no es muy bueno, pero sobretodo destacaríamos que nos tocó en la primera planta sin natural, personalmente me pareció un poco claustrofóbico si vas a estar más de un día

For design and comfort aficionados, this is the place

I’ve come back to my favorite Kyoto Hotel. Interior lobby beautiful with Noguchi lamps laid out. A rock garden outside. The wooden floors have carved and polished indents. The room is so peaceful it’s hard to go out and sightsee.

Fijn hotel om in Kyoto te verblijven

Erg mooi en modern hotel bij binnenkomst wat volledig anders is zodra je de kamer binnenstapt. Het heeft een ouderwets uiterlijk maar in een modern jasje. Super schoon en comfortabele kamers. Personeel was over het algemeen erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Het is gelegen op loopafstand van veel restaurants en de mooie winkelstraten.

De kamers die wij hadden geboekt hadden waren niet erg ruim maar wel voldoende voor een paar tassen.

Resol系列的酒店我都很喜欢，除了房间略微小以外，几乎无可挑剔，我连续在京都住了两家，都很喜欢，尤其是这家，阴翳礼赞风，充满了日式的格调，有酒店自然的风骨和气质，虽然定为三星级，但是我个人感觉相当于国内的4-5星级了，以后去日本还会选择入住这个品牌的酒店

Schönes Design der Lobby & Zimmer Lage war auch gut, direkt an der Hauptstraße

Sauberkeit war nicht vorhanden, Staub überall! Damit könnte man ja noch leben, die Toilette hatte an mehreren Stellen Urinflecken vorallem am Toilettensitz und Zwischen Spülung und Toilettensitz. Die Toilettenlüftung hat außerdem bei jeder Nutzung unangenehm gerochen. Es waren noch Haare von Personen davor im Bad, als wir eingecheckt haben. Nach dem ich das Ganze reklamiert habe, wurde nur ein Teil der Toilette sauber gemacht! Würde das Hotel daher nicht weiterempfehlen und war echt enttäuscht, Sauberkeit ist das A und O!

This is 4 star hotel.

Room and hotel have an excellent design and decoration. All very japanese style, very neat. They have improved the ryokan experience in the room: you have a couple of seats where you can drink your tea, tatami floors, japaneese lantern, headboard wrapped in a silky matching cloth. Staff was great, kind and helpfull. Amenities and cleaning room every day. No noise in the room, nor from frigde, aircon, nor even from the people on the corridor. Definetly I'll come back.

Maybe to say something to improve: the indications for the aircon in English though staff was very kind and changed for me.
