Short family trip

Staff was very nice, rooms were ok, the hotel looks more fancy and bigger on pictures. We liked two male waiters in the lobby - they were so funny. :)

Not much to do around the hotel (in the end of October).

Amazing hotel

Came for a friends wedding and wasn’t sure it was going to be child friendly , so wrong, it had the best kids club I have ever taken the children to. They loved it there is something for all ages. Room was nice very comfy bed/pilliow , gutted there were no rooms with balcony’s as this was not ideal trying to dry swimming wear. Breakfast was great plenty of choice. Taxi ride to old town which cost about 15euro. Would definitely recommend! Even put a bottle of wine in room for my birthday.

Just not having a balcony.

Great family hotel

Nice interiors, kids club was fantastic! Great location near the beach clubs and short car ride to old town.

Rooms were small. Staff in restaurants had an attitude that made you feel that customers were an inconvenience to them. But that seemed to be a Croatia thing.

Best of both worlds, relaxing pool holiday with trips to the old town.

The pool which was newly opened was stunning. Not too busy. Will be even better once the pool bar has opened. The bedroom was a great size and very comfortable. Location was great, just a short bus ride away to the old town. The buses were very frequent and only a couple of euros.

Great Stay in Valamar

It was very comfortable stay at Valamar, room was clean, friendly staff and breakfast was phenomenal. It's well connected via bus to old town and the city. I would highly recommend this property.

Suurepärane kogemus!

Jõudsime hotelli keskpäevaks ja saime kenasti kohe tuppa, ei pidanud ootama kolm tundi check-ini alguseni. Kõik teenindajad olid väga abivalmid, viisakad, andsid nõu, mida linnas vaadata jne. Hommikusöögil oli roogade valik suurepärane, vaid küpsetatud köögiviljad (baklažaan, paprika, suvikõrvits jne) oleksid vajanud rohkem maitsestamist.

Kõik oli suurepärane. Asukoht ehk on kesklinnast veidi kaugel, aga autoga reisijatele nagu meie oli see hea valik, sest parkimine (tasuline) oli hotelli juures korraldatud.

We spent one night there and only negative is too high price ( Althought, I dont have any experience what you can get with almost 300eur/ night in Dubrovnik if you book somewhere else)

Nice & fresh hotel, with a cool concept and lovely localization.

I extremely liked: - concept & renovation as the hotel is newly constructed; - comfort of the room; - breakfast, dinner was even better, though; - beach at Valamar President; - localization.

-cleaning wasn't great: once they forgot to clean our room, despite the cleaning request sign on the door & dirty plate near the door. Cleaning ladies were there with their cart, they just "skipped" our room for a very strange reason, once they forgot to put new towels (they took the "old" once and didn't put any fresh instead; refills were not refilled/changed, so we needed to ask for shower gel. body lotion several times during our stay; nobody wiped the dust near the door, so in the end of our stay it was really dirty there. -the phone in the room (336) wasn't working properly; -not very nice lady when we were checking in. She didn't tell us anything about Valamar President beach club, which is much better & cheaper than the 2 other she mentioned (Copacabana & Coral Beach). Nobody helped us with the luggage. - pool bar wasn't working until our last day of the stay.

rooms were great and very clean. pool area was beautiful but the swim up bar wasn’t open. close to beach, but beach is public and you have to pay for lounge chairs.

I really liked the food which was delicious and the rooms were spacious and comfortable.

I liked the rooms inside were perfect and comfortable.

I did not like the location because it was far from the beach and their pool was not build up yet, so we had to go to another hotel which was about 100 meters away from this hotel.

The location is convenient and most of the staff are friendly.

Unfortunately Valamar Tirena Hotel did not completely finish their renovation before re-opening 1 June. This is a shame as during the stay you see (and hear) the construction going on inside and outside the hotel and there are a lot of construction materials in the outside grounds which ruins the surrounding area and walk to the beach. We had booked a room with a garden view and the view was of a messy, unfinished garden with building materials so we asked to change rooms and were gratefully upgraded to a room with a sea view. The swimming pool has not yet been completed and we were only informed this upon arrival at the hotel. There was a solution that guests can use the next door’s hotel however this is inconvenient and not the same as the pool/ pool bar which is advertised. It is misleading that the hotel advertisement has not been updated with this information. There is a good variety of food at the buffet breakfast and dinner however unfortunately one of us had bad food poisoning one night having only eaten at the hotel that day. My feeling is that the hotel needs more time to finish renovation and also needs to be fully tested for guests for example the shower head in our bathroom was fixed incorrectly and the phone in the room did not work. Hopefully in a few more months they will be more in the swing of things but on this occasion it did not quite meet our expectations.
