Besonders hat uns die geräumige Wohnung in der oberen Etage gefallen und die vorbildliche Sauberkeit. Das Frühstück war dem Preis entsprechend ausreichend. Nur der Kaffee hätte eine Tasse mehr sein können.

- Easy to park near the hostel.
- Kitchen with fridge, hob, cutlery and plates are free to use for the guest.
- Breakfast costs 5 euros but is free if you give them a top review on booking.com or google.
- At check-in, you had to pay for bed linen, towels and tourist tax to the city, which for us amounted to 34.5 euros extra on top of the price shown on Booking.com
- The floor of the bedroom was not completely clean. It was dusty and there were leftovers from previous guests.

Super close to the main train station, not too far to walk into the town and main market place. We had a private room with an ensuite and you wouldn't know it was a hostel, very generous size room and bathroom, we had a great view.
A fan as it was quite warm during the night and it's on a main road so it was too loud to have the window open

Room was clean, warm and location was perfect close to the Altstadt.
Lack of parking, only street parking is free and there are limited spaces. Otherwise you have to pay for parking in the parking lots.

Guy behind the counter was extremely polite, helpful and had great English. Helped us book a horse ride on the outskirts of town, which we would not have been able to do otherwise, as we don't speak German. As that was a special bit of the trip, will be forever grateful for his assistance. Located right by station and bus station, so easy to get around - tourist tax gives you free bus travel, so we made that back easily enough and it made things simpler. Kitchen was ok - 4 electric hobs, so could do basic meals. Room was fine, with view of the mountain - 3 single beds, so great for our family. Have booked "family rooms" often enough that have not been so well configured for myself and my two secondary age children...
only thing was that we were almost the only people there after the weekend, so felt empty. Normally you get to meet some folks in a hostel...

The room was clean and pretty big. This was good enough for 2 adults and 2 kids. In addition, there is a free parking lot in front of the hotel.
Not much to be honest. This is a good value for money but likely you will not book the same room twice.

We were 6 friends who opted for one of the dorm rooms. We loved that the room was clean. We also liked the common area and the kitchen had all the necessary equipment/cutlery/utensils. The check in was pretty simple. You have to ring the bell in the lobby to call the reception manager as he usually is not at his desk but in the other inside room or in the back house. He explained everything to us in English.
Wi-fi sucked. We did not use even 10mb of the internet collectively. We told the reception manager the issue, to which he said he upped the setting (whatever that means - probably he reset the router?) but still we could not use the wifi.
We also paid for towels and bedsheets extra (which we already read about and knew). the reason I mention this is that it was my first time staying in a hostel, but it wasn't the case with my friends and they all said that mostly, it comes included in the cost. But what we did not like at all is that we had to put the sheets on our own and then remove it again at the time of checkout and put it back in the cleaning bin. My friend was so disappointed that they even made a comment, 'oh wow, now will the hostel make us clean the floors as well!'.
For six people dorm room, only one tiny dustbin in the bathroom did not make sense. there was no other dustbin in the room. We had to go to kitchen to throw stuff. Kitchen is not usually open except when we pay deposit of 20 euros and we get the keys.

Very clean, not noisy, nice people! Cheap compared to the other hostels
everything is charged extra(towel, food, water, bed sheets :( Even paying with credit card extra cost.

Noisy environment, wifi was not working, pricey rooms.

The location was very good with excellent parking opposite in a yard costing only €2.50 per day. The breakfast was simple but very good. The room was very clean and quiet. I very much enjoyed my stay.
There were no signs anywhere for rubbish facilities.

The check-in and the reception went really well, the receptionist had a lot of tips to give me (things to see, visit, etc.). The bedroom was really great, spacious, bed comfortable and quiet (but we were only 2 in a 5-bed room). There are storage spaces outside the room, but unfortunately my backpack could not fit in it. Still nice for storing valuable things if need be. There was a breakfast available for 3,99€ but I didn't take it. It looked nice though.
The storage space was too small, but that was not too much of a problem for me. You also have to pay a little supplement for city taxes and the bedsheets, but that happens a lot in Germany. It was overall great and met my expectations.

I liked the location (really near from the central station and easy walk to the Marktplatz and Altstadt).
The staff was also really really friendly.
Breakfast was great and for a fair price!
3.8
Great location as only 3/4 minutes from the train station for both the mainline and the mountain train. There is a small supermarket about 5 minutes away and the town centre is around a 10/15 minute walk.

Friendly host helped us with late check in
Pillows were not comfortable

Great location
Bathroom too small

close to the train station
The reception is not available at the prommissed time, to use the kitchen you need to pay a deposit that is difficult to get back because of the limited availability of staff and reception. Staff only speaks a bit of English. common areas are very sober and not apealing.

Easy check-out process. I'm happy that it was at least possible to leave without problems 👍🏻
UPDATE: After my review was published, instead of starting to do actual work, these sauerkrauts charged my card extra 100 EUR in retaliation 🤣 Additionally, they claim that I was banned from entering the property and blah-blah-blah but, in fact, I couldn't even find someone to discuss the issues with their hostel before I left. I wish I could upload a screenshot of my police report and my bank account statement, so you folks know who's the liar here. At least I know that they're pissed off! Everything was, of course, reported to the police and I'll make sure to call them daily until they take real action as this kind of behavior should not be tolerated.
UPD: after my review was published, they charged me 100 EUR extra.
This was literally the worst hostel experience in my life and I travel a lot, so I know what I'm talking about. Literally everything was wrong with this hostel.
1. They stole money from my card (more on this later). Really unexpected to encounter something like this in Germany
2. The bed linen costs 3.55 EUR? It's not just a weird price to charge but I also don't get why would one order a bed without linen anyway
3. Reception is open just a couple of hours a day, so you can't get access to the kitchen, to your deposit of whopping 20 EUR for the kitchen key, or to get some help
4. The bed was maximally uncomfortable, the cheapest crap one could get that wobbles like crazy because of the tiniest move
5. The hostel is located right next to an active road, so it's noisy and hard to fall asleep
6. There's a street lamp that hits directly in your face when you're in your bed
7. My bed had no individual light (maybe they thought that the street lamp was good enough) and no socket. Some other beds did though
8. The walls are made of paper: you can literally hear every move in other rooms
9. There are no trash bins in the room and in common areas. Lazy lazy personnel/owners that don't want to move a finger because guests don't deserve even the most basic comfort and trash bins are a privilege that should only be available to 5-star hotel guests
10. WiFi is so slow that you can assume that there's no WiFi.
Now about the theft. On the day of the booking, they charged 2 EUR on top of the expected charges (that was also wrong but by a small margin, so I closed my eyes on it). During the check-in, I asked what was that charge about and was promised to get a refund "soon". It's been a week since then and nothing was returned to me, so they rip you off as hard as they can.
