The location is great. The hotel is so beautiful and unique, staff are so nice and friendly, the bedrooms are a little bit dated, but maybe this is to keep the old style the same . We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel and definitely if I come back to visit Mexico city I'll book at the same hotel.
Noise from the street at night.

I chose this hotel due to the decor and the proximity to the US Embassy. I traveled with my mom and infant daughter. The hotel itself is beautiful, clean, and very well located. We really enjoyed the rooms and the decor. Food was also good.
The biggest complaint is the staff. They were highly unfriendly towards us. We were never greeted when entering the hotel and I asked for a crib that was never delivered. Mind you, my baby never cried or was any trouble. We also ordered room service and our food took over and hour to come and only came because I called back to see what was taking so long. Then the food was obviously cold. Customer service is a huge part of any hotel or dining experience and while we really loved the space we would not book here again.

Location was perfect , rates, history
Some personal was not as friendly and wanting to control situations
4.3
Great location. Very friendly GM.
Dated with ancient airconditioning that barely functions and if so, noisy. Surrounds very noisy and rooms facing road unbearable.
4.3
Comfy bed, clean bathroom, business center
Room service staff were rude and disrespectful in the midnight hour
4.3
nice lobby and great location.
smoke smell in the room, poor acoustic insulation between rooms and we could hear meetings from the room next door waking us at 6 am.
the bathroom is pretty bad, every time we took a shower the water would get out and pool on the floor.
in general the hotel needs a revamp. We ended up moving to a way much nicer hotel and cheaper than Geneve hotel.
4.3
The old world decor is just beautiful.
The room’s carpet could be cleaner and some bedside option to charge phones.
4.3
The nostalgic designs and historical items displayed in the hotel make one feel staying in a mini museum.
the air-con bit noisy.
4.3
Best of all is the friendliness and efficiency of the staff. Rooms are comfortable if a little old fashioned but everything works. Location is great.
WiFi speed is very slow
4.3
- the hotel is very beautiful, it feel authentically antique and it is
- the staff is very professional and helpful. There was a loud party on Friday night (a wedding probably) and our room was very close to the loud music, so I asked if they had another room for the night because the party was going to end at 2am and they gave us a very quiet room far away from the noise for that night without having to check out of our other room, that saved our night sleep, which was important because we were quite jet lagged
- the location is very central
- the rooms need renovation, the bed in our original room wasn’t particularly comfortable and the pillows weren’t comfortable, either too big and stiff or too small and soft, also the lights were too dim and night so the room felt gloomy

The lobby is pretty and location is great.
The rooms are so old. Like sooo so old that it kind of smells funny. The bed was terrible; it moved a lot. It was like sleeping in jelly. The bathroom was dirty and it had hairs from the previous guest. Towels and bedsheets are old and stained. Some of staff acted weird around us; staring, being secretive and then laughing. We are an interracial couple so it made us very uncomfortable. We arrived at 4 am because of our flight, which we communicated in advance, and they still put us in a street view bedroom which was incredibly noisy even though we were at the fourth floor. If after reading this you do stay here, don’t stay on the street view or you won’t be able to sleep.

Hotel is gorgeous, well located and features QUIET rooms. Great water pressure. Good service. Comfortable beds. Helpful staff
These rooms could use some updating. Theyres nothing really bad about them, just dont expect a freshly renovated room amd youll be fine. Id stay there again at the price point I paid

Interesting hotel with lots of history. The rooms themselves were not spectacular- though comfortable. The staff were very helpful regarding day trips etc.
The breakfast service wasn't great...but acceptable.
4.3
the lobby is very elegant and beautiful, the location is on point, also housekeeping works on point
rooms are outdated, we enjoy and respect charm of old hotels but here the renovation is certainly needed
4.3
Great character and history, stunning lobby.
Slight shabby feel. Didn’t bother me but others might think it lacks polish.

Just a great place to stay at.
4.3
The location is definitely great, although it can be loud at night. The historic lobby is beautiful and we enjoyed drinks in the telephone bar.
The street noise and traffic get pretty loud at night. Our room had two full beds, which made it difficult to share.

Nothing - one of the worst hotel rooms I’ve stayed in.
Dated, dark and noisy. We had a bedroom on the 2nd floor which was only accessible by a long, long walk through dark corridors and a flight of stairs at the end. Felt like we were in the maids quarters. The room was very dated and sparsely furnished. I’m not sure anything has been updated since the hotel opened. Sheets and towels were the most scratchy and worn I’ve ever seen in a hotel, and the bathroom was a joke. Barely enough room to turn around and the saddest looking bath/shower with an open faucet. Safe didn’t lock. Couple in the room next door had loud sex all night, which we could hear through the walls. Area around the hotel is very seedy. Disappointing stay.
Checked out after a night and went elsewhere.

nice stylish lobby
great location if you want to party
very old room in dire need of refurbishment
terrible experience one night when a party blasted way past 2 am in the lobby, shaking the room’s window. eventually, the staff offered me a new quieter room to change to at 3 am.
