The private beach is amazing - there is the beach club beach and dock that is private and for hotel guests only, and then you can walk or swim to a pebble beach which is only accessible by boat so is very quiet.
We were there in August and it was so nice to get away from the crowds and feel a sense of peace and relaxation at the hotel.
We took, bus, taxi, and boat taxi and they were all great! The bus stop is right outside the hotel and you can buy tickets at the concierge.
Breakfast was great (as everyone says)
We ended up going to Arienzo beach club in Positano and it was great, but honestly the hotel beach is just as nice and included already in your nightly rate!
I wish they offered more filtered water options. We like to use our resusable water bottles also because they keep water cool for a long time and we were forced to buy the glass bottled water from hotel.

Amazing views, beach side lounging. Easy access to water taxi to take us to other villages!

Grand Hotel Tritone was absolutely amazing. The view was breathtaking, the staff was kind approachable and extremely attentive and helpful. The hotel has the perfect location away from the hustle and bustle, yet close to towns for visiting. The convenience of using the hotel water taxi made visiting Positano easy. A free hotel shuttle is provided for trips to Praiano where you will find delicious restaurants. The hotel swim club is the absolute best place to take in the gorgeous views. Our stay was magical! Thank you to everyone who made our trip unfortgettable.

Unfortunately, but is important to say.
We loved when finished our stay,
This is the best place to be far way.
We are Very disappointed !
Bad location,
Bad Bed
Bad Sheets and Pillows
Clogged Bath
Had to find the places inside the hotel , look like a maze, you can get a lost all the times.
The Elevators are lazy and very small.
Breakfast has poor artificial juices,
Frozen boiled eggs and missing cheese and Bread ,
And if you ask a Omelet they charge you!!
Definitely is very very expensive, we paid $1250 dollars night, and don’t value $200 dollars.

Seemed understaffed and the staff weren’t trained properly / seemed very inexperienced with the exception of some of the more mature women and Alfonzo. It was our honeymoon and they did nothing to recognise it - we thought there’d be a gesture of sorts!

Beautiful hotel and stunning location with two pools and private access to the ocean.
The property is remote so it’s challenging to get to the towns unless by water taxi or car. The hotel offers a shuttle to Praiano.

Nice spot
A typical faded glory hotel. Old-fashioned. En masse. Poor and old fashioned service. In the rest of Europe you pay 150-200 euros for a room in such type of hotel. Due to its location at the Amalfi coast and overdue maintenance, the price is apparently much higher here. No value for money.

Views are fantastic. Breakfast bar great. Staff very helpful with restaurant recommendations and transportation coordination. We found one we really liked and went back 2 more times.
Bed was a tad firm for us, but room was great. No iron or ironing board. Laundry takes a little longer than most places (up to 48 hours). The weather unfortunately hampered our ability to use the water taxi dock or the beach, but that isn't a reflection of hotel. The hotel isn't super close to much for walking, but the shuttle to Praiano was nice.

Everything! Stunning! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! The journey of the hotel from the arrival to each facilities is amazing. Staffs are very welcoming and friendly. The room is clean and huge.

The view (of Positano or Praiano depending on your room location) is wonderful. The beach and pools are spectacular.
Breakfast can be a little hectic, I recommend arriving before 9:00. I wish the hotel had more of a shuttle service to restaurants in Positano or Praiano. But they do arrange for car service/taxis.

Incredible views, updated and big rooms, excellent food, and being able to swim in the sea was wonderful. Would definitely come back!

The hotel was amazing. Seriously. We had the best time and would go back in a heartbeat. I nearly cancelled my booking as I read a previous bad review and I am thanking my lucky stars that I didn’t! That person who left that bad review must have been a Karen!
The views from the hotel are spectacular. Our family room was ridiculously spacious and we had a magnificent view of the pool below. Our room was 162.
Nino’s beach restaurant on the lowest level was amazing. You could not ask for a more perfect setting with the ocean lapping the perimeter of the restaurant. The food was excellent and they had great choices for our kids aged 10 & 14.
The staff were exceptionally kind and accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. I would like to make special mention of Elena, Annaliesa & the lady with the dark long hair whose name escapes me!
The hotel offers a free shuttle service to Praiano. We honestly preferred Praiano to Positano which was bursting at its seams. Praiano was quaint and quirky and the cathedral in town was magnificent. We also had a great meal at La Strada. The lemon cake was to die for.
We met a couple from America who has visited Grand Hotel Tritone every year for the last 20 years with their family. If we could we would!
Grand Hotel Tritone is 65 years old and it an architectural marvel. How they built it on those sheer cliffs boggles the mind. Do yourself a favour and book this hotel. You won’t be disappointed. No it is not 5 stars, but you are not paying 5 star prices either. Honestly a true gem!
Nothing. We loved it. If you don’t like lifts, this however might not be the property for you:)

Beautiful views, incredibly friendly staff, and wonderful facilities all made for an incredible experience during our honeymoon on the Amalfi coast. The breakfast is incredible with absolutely stunning views. There is a bar always nearby and a staff member willing to help you with whatever you need at all times. Two salt water pools and two restaurants allow for great eating at any time of day. We didn't ever want to leave!
Sluggish elevators and such a big property that you can easily get lost! It took us about 2 full days to get accustomed to where everything was. Prices for food and beverage is above average for Amalfi Coast but worth it given the outstanding and consistent service. If you are visiting other cities on the Amalfi coast Praiano is quiet compared to some of the rest, but makes for a little further travel if you plan on exploring.

The service was terrific on every level. Every available staff member went out of their way to ensure we had what we needed and were looked after. The front desk made TONS of calls to find us a last minute dinner reservation and find transport to and from our destinations.
Unfortunately, we had to leave at the end of our stay.

an absolutely incredible hotel - the beach club was the highlight (must try the frozen watermelon margarita!) loved swimming in the sea
and the salt water pool. the room was spacious and the view from our balcony was stunning. the complimentary shuttle to Praiano was great and really fun - like a golf cart. Just couldn’t fault a thing about the hotel and wish our stay was a week longer!

location was perfect and views were still Ning. pool facilities / restauarant / water taxi service all great too.
4 lifts from room to pool. not a major issue though
