Top Restaurant - sehr gutes Hotel - hervorragendendes Preisleistungsverhältnis

Wir haben zu einer Familienfeier im Hotel zur Post übernachtet. Wie immer alles ganz hervorragend, sehr aufmerksame Keller, reichhaltiges sehr köstliches Essen in Buffetform. Die Betten sind sehr bequem, große Zimmer, ruhige Lage, mega Frühstück, vernünftiges Preis - Leistungsverhältnis. Wir hatten 2 Kinder unter 6 Jahren dabei, für diese wurde nichts extra berechnet. Dafür bedanken wir uns. Wir haben schon mehrfach hier übernachtet und können das Haus unbedingt, die Küche ganz besonders, empfehlen. Momentan ist es unser Lieblingsrestaurant, wenn wir in Lohfelden sind.

Excellent overnight stay, shame we couldn't stay longer to explore Kassel more

The hotel was very good, our room was spacious and spotlessly clean. Breakfast which was in included for us was brilliant with everything you would expect from a European hotel, fruit, yoghurt, cereals, fresh rolls, bread, preserves, cakes, pastries, scrambled eggs, cold meats and cheeses, fresh juices, coffee and tea. As we were on an overnight stop while travelling, we also enjoyed an excellent evening meal which was very plentiful, extremely tasty and very reasonable. There was a wedding on the night of our stay but this did not affect our stay in regards to any noise etc. Staff were friendly and welcoming.

Although it wasn't too much of a problem as the weather was fine, we were surprised to find that the hotel is split into three blocks and our room was in the block furthest away which meant a walk of 150 metres down the road. I have mobility problems so we used the car to get me closer but had it been raining this could have been an issue. It may have been my fault for not reading advanced information enough and for not mentioning my disability in advance in my booking.

2nd stay, even better than the 1st

2nd stay at this hotel, this time travelling with family on our way to Hamburg (by car via A7). We requested rooms close to each other which the hotel was able to provide. Friendly welcome on arrival at the main building and we got a parking space directly at the building where the rooms were located - which was very helpful for the elderly as was just one flight of stairs to walk up to the rooms (no elevator). Went for dinner at the hotel restaurant and were pleasantly surprised - really good food! Rooms were clean, plenty of space and all basics were being provided. Breakfast buffet the next day was perfectly fine, plenty of choices. Had a great chat with the lovely owner at check-out!

Walls are on the thinner side. The hotel consists of the main building and several other buildings in the proximity of the main building, so be prepared for some walking to and from the restaurant/breakfast location.

For a very short stay, but even then I would not recommend

Nice location with a good view. The employees do their best to make you feel welcome.

The rooms in the main building are outdated. You can overhear the conversations from the room below you. My room had the permanent smell of cigarettes which made the stay very unpleasant as a not smoker.
