Sawyer retreat with room for your extended family - this updated home is close to everything - Warren Dunes Beach, adorable Harbor Country towns, wineries, breweries shopping, outdoor activities, etc. Good luck getting anyone to leave - Red Arrow Lodge has it all - heated outdoor pool open from May to September 18 (above ground but not trashy), fire pit, natural gas grill, and three decks to lounge about and enjoy a fenced-in yard set in the woods.
Over 2,500 square feet, the home is on two levels allowing for privacy if sharing between families.
Inside on lower level, large family room with entertainment area includes large-screen TV, Play Station 4, board games and more. Bedroom on this level contains two queen-sized beds. Sectional has queen-sized pull-out mattress for an additional sleeping option. Full bath on this floor plus laundry room.
On top floor, newly-remodeled kitchen,plus dining area seats 8 with additional seating at counter. Three bedrooms on this level - one contains king-sized bed, another with queen, another with full bed. Full bath plus half bath. Well-appointed living room on this floor is perfect for additional entertainment.
Kitchen stocked with dishware, silverware, plasticware, cookware - all the wares. We love coffee, so there is grinder, French press, espresso machine, Keurig, drip brewer, milk frother and teapot. We had an amazing time at this beautiful home. Mary was an excellent host. We most definitely enjoyed the swimming pool! This was our second summer stay at the house—enjoyed it immensely again. Layout is great with plenty of space, the fenced yard is so nice for our dog, and we enjoyed many afternoons in the pool. No issues at all with the house, it’s a wonderful place to stay.

We had a great stay with family. We had 8 adults with plenty of room for everyone. There are two queen beds in the large, basement bedroom, a bathroom along with a huge living room down there. Upstairs was three bedrooms, a living room, kitchen, two bathrooms and a large dining table. Outside was a fenced in yard (pet friendly) and a large pool--very clean. Lots of deck and chairs for sitting. Lots of trees for shade. The house is less than 5 minutes from the Warren Dunes. We enjoyed the close by ice cream shop and a huge farm stand almost right across the street. The showers had super water pressure (I have stayed at places with low water pressure and I hate not getting the shampoo out of my hair:) Overall a great stay!

We had a wonderful stay and it was very relaxing. Got to use the pool which was great and enjoyed the peace and quiet. As always, communication with the owner was impeccable and we will back soon!!

We loved this house. The backyard was such a private haven. The pool was wonderful. We were in it every day. The fenced backyard was the driving factor for our pups. No leads or leashes needed. We didn't get to do s'mores due to the extreme heat but the fire pit area was very nice.We were shocked at how close the house is to everything!! Even though we are basically local (Grand Rapids) we knew nothing about Sawyer. It is such a nice little beach town without all of the traffic and crowds. I highly recommend visiting the Sawyer Home and Garden Center. Great shopping experience. So much fun things to buy! We would stay here again for sure.

Great house in a quiet private location. The house is very spacious and has every thing. The pool is great in a fenced yard with a big deck. We enjoyed it so much and it was perfect for our family.

My friends and I took a long weekend together and our stay was great at this property. Plenty of room for the 6 of us. Beautiful wooded lot with firepit that we enjoyed! Great big kitchen with everything you need to cook wonderful meals. Drank wine, played cards, watched football, shopped the antique markets along Red Arrow Hwy. Mary is a great hostess and very communicative!

This is a great property! Comfortable, relaxing and close to loads of restaurant, shopping and Warren Dunes. We really enjoyed the pool, the quiet and the location. We had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. This is our 3rd trip there. We will definitely be back!

Mary was very helpful. 2nd time staying at this home and we loved it. Close to other cities. The heated pool was very enjoyable. Wish there was a sidewalk to the state park. It's literally a 5 min drive; if that. House has everything you need. We've told all our friends about the location and the house. Can't wait to go back!

This was our first year vacationing with our pup and the accommodations couldn’t have worked out better for our family. It was a luxury to be able to let the pup out into the safely fenced yard as needed. On top of that, the house was exceptionally clean and well-maintained. There are a lot of little things that can be frustrating when doing short term rentals but none of those were an issue here—large, new washing machine and dryer, an outdoor grill with natural gas hookup, plenty of towels and other necessities (luggage racks! so helpful!). We can’t wait to return next summer. Thank you, Mary!

This was a family trip, with 4 adults, 1 toddler, 1 infant and 2 dogs. My wife and I also celebrated our 37th wedding anniversary during our stay. We took full advantage of the many areas of the home, both inside and out, especially the pool, fire pit, back deck and front porch. We enjoyed several outings to wineries, a brewery, coffee shop, the Lake at Warren Dunes State Park, a farm (picked berries), hiking and many other places during the week. Took full advantage of the very well stocked kitchen and didn't bother to turn on a television one time. It was just that much fun, mixed with relaxing and adventures.

We stayed to celebrate my parents 50th wedding anniversary along with my 50th birthday. Wink wink. They were married 50 years in January and my brother and I purchased this June getaway for them. It just so happened to fall on my 50th birthday weekend so we celebrated that as well. The property was beyond expectation everything we needed was there and Mary was very responsive and answering any and all questions my parents were so impressed when they arrived that they called Mary right away to express their pleasure with the residence

2 grandparents , 4 parents, one 3 year old and two 1 year olds. We had a blast! From the moment I booked, Mary was responsive and I could tell she wanted our family to have a great experience . She answered my many questions and was always prompt . The first day we were there, we had some air conditioning problems and she and her husband worked very hard to get repairmen there with it 24 hours … I loved that there is a finished basement with a huge bedroom full bath and a huge laundry room. One family stayed down there and that helped so much with all the baby nap schedules . We had plenty of bath towels and plenty of beach towels - all supplied by the host. We cooked all meals but one in the kitchen - gas stove made all the difference ! Plenty of room in the living room for all three kids to play while we made breakfast . Our main fun at the house was the backyard pool ( very clean and 85 degrees!) it has its own fence and locked gate which made it safe for our babies - all of us loved swimming in that pool anytime we get like it! The fire pit in the woods behind the pool was a hang out two nights for us - hotdogs and s’mores … all the trees were so beautiful. The entire place is fenced in which made it safe for our golden retriever. The two tiered deck off the house was great for gathering in the morning with coffee - or dinner on the large outdoor table . The front porch is adorable —-most mornings were spent there with coffee and little ones playing cars. The basketball net was a hit with my son in law…. There are several bikes and pool floats if you would need them. We didn’t bike bc of all the babies. I timed the drive from the driveway of this home to the entrance of Warren Dunes and it was exactly 30 seconds! No lie ! We bought the annual state park pass for each of our cars ( only $36) so we could come and go from the beach all we wanted - that was definitely worth the price. For groceries we ran to the fruit market which was one minute down the road and to Hardings grocery store in Bridgman for staples . I can’t say enough good things about this property for our family’s needs. The only thing We wish it had was a neighborhood to take walks in with the dog and the strollers. But everything else was fabulous !

My friends and our dogs had the BEST stay. It was beautiful, clean, comfortable - perfect vacation!! The pool was amazing and the yard was full of beautiful, mature trees, it felt like a secret forest! The fence was tall and very well maintained. There was a fire pit with plenty of chairs and the yard was large! Could not be a better escape from Chicago! Plus the owner was super responsive and extremely nice. Thanks for a great stay!

Overall good experience
The pool and location are awesome. One downside was the amount of crickets and bugs that were in the basement. But that is expected being the the woods! The owner was very communicative, let us know when the power would be back on after a big storm went through and knocked it out. For the price we were hoping the bathrooms were a little more up to date but overall we had a good time and the pool was a great addition to our trip!

Perfect for people & puppies!
This place was perfect for 6 adults & 4 dogs. We had so much fun in the pool & at the firepit. The doggos just ran and played freely in the large fenced area. The basement is setup nicely with a very large bedroom, 2 beds, a family room area, bathroom & laundry area with walkout basement to allow for some separate areas for families. Everything you need for the pool, the beach and other family fun is already at the house! Great location with quaint little town & beach and dunes close. Mary was very responsive to questions & accommodating. Highly recommend this stay.

The Lodge is AMAZING!
We stayed for a week with our 15 year old son and 2 dogs! This vacation home is fantastic! We all loved the pool and our dogs were free to explore in the HUGE fenced in backyard! Our son spent a lot of time shooting baskets and playing the PS4Pro. We had everything we needed to cook meals and we couldn't believe toiletries were even provided! The multiple options for coffee makers were great! We checked out the local eateries Cubbies, Romas (pizza), Song Asian (sushi), Galley Grill (breakfast), Emma's Market (pizza), Black Currant Baked Goods, Oinks (ice cream), Redamaks (burgers), and of course Sawyer Market for all kinds of goodies! We LOVED being only minutes from Warren Dunes and Weko Beach was also beautiful! We even went to Celebration Cinemas which wasn't far to catch a movie! It was a fantastic place to just unwind and have a good time with family! There is plenty of room and the beds are comfy! We will be returning to the Lodge in Sawyer!

Very Relaxing Stay and Beautiful Fall Foliage
We had a fantastic time and highly recommend her wonderful home! The neighborhood is very quiet and the back yard is peaceful and the leaves on all of the trees were changing colors so it was great to spend time on the deck taking in the scenery and watching our pups explore the yard.
There are also multiple parks and preserves nearby we visited and the breadth of restaurants and cafes enhanced our stay even further.

Lovely property! I imagine the big draw in the warmer months is the pool, but we had a great time inside and out even in the cooler seasons after the pool was closed. Excellent location to a number of great areas. Very well-stocked kitchen, and very clean and sanitary condition overall. Would be happy to stay here again!

Family Reunion
The family Reunion went well the house was lovely, very clean and accommodating for 7 people. The check in process was easy and Mary made it seamless. Her attention to the guests was excellent. Will definitely stay here again next year.

Blended & blessed getaway
We have a blended family and wanted to get away someplace close with our children and grandchildren. This was perfect! Plenty of room for all of us. It was warm enough for the pool and dunes which is so close we also enjoyed going there a day. Dinges Farm was fun. We shopped @ the Lighthouse Outlet Mall. The nights were nice and cool so we were able to enjoy the fire pit and cook s’mores. This house is loaded with all you needed! Mary is an amazing Host!

Our stay was awesome!
Stayed at this property from 10/10-10/13 and my family and I had a great time! The house was very clean and checking in was a breeze. Mary was so nice and quick to respond to any questions we had! Everything in the house was easy to find and there were more than enough supplies so we did not have to leave the house to get anything extra. We had 10 people and there was more than enough room for everyone to spread out and have their own space if they needed it. We all agreed that the pool was the focal point of our trip and our favorite place to relax. Overall this house made for a great getaway and we would definitely book again!

Wonderful Home with an Amazing Pool and Fenced Back Yard
We had a great time relaxing with our pups in the large fenced yard and highly recommend staying here because of the fantastic home setup with very comfortable beds, plenty of TVs to catch up on programs, wonderful pool heated to a very comfortable temperature, outdoor deck and furniture to help enjoy the weather and overlook the back yard, and proximity to beaches, restaurants, and farmers markets within five to twenty minutes.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and the relaxing atmosphere and we look forward to returning so our dogs and we can spend more time taking advantage of the back yard and peaceful environment!

P E R F E C T Getaway!
I hesitated to write a review because selfishly I want to keep this gem of a house to myself! This is a great property located right next to Warren Dunes, 12 min drive to New Buffalo, 20 mins from St. Joseph...and close to so many other great towns/shops/restaurants. PLUS, the pool is waiting for you in the afternoon!
Mary was prompt in responding to any questions we had---she even checked in on us immediately following a brief power outage during a crazy storm in the night. The house was well stocked with everything you would need. We definitely plan to visit again!

Perfect vacation home
This home was very well appointed with everything we needed for our extended family that included a 78 year old down to 1 year old. Bedrooms all had comfortable beds, nice linens, and the downstairs family room, bath and extra large bedroom was perfect for the family with 2 young kids. Pool was wonderful and Warren Dunes beach was an easy 3 minute drive with tons of parking. We hope to go back again.

A pool - and so much more!
We booked our biennial family vacation a year ago at Red Arrow Lodge because it had a pool. During COVID, it was one bright spot. Gramma and Grampa, 6 adult children, 2 little boys, a baby, and 2 dogs - we knew we would have a good time even if we had to isolate ourselves. Our hopes were far exceeded!
Red Arrow Lodge had plenty of space for all of us and everything we needed. What we appreciated were: 1) the pool, with pool toys and beach towels; 2) well-supplied kitchen; 3) dog-friendly yard; 4) games; 5) pack-n-play and high chair.
The back yard was fantastic and much larger than the pictures suggest. It is shaded with tall trees and the woodchip ground cover was good for our allergy-ridden dogs. Even though neighbors are nearby, it is very secluded. The fencing is open and dog-friendly. They were not stressed by things they could not see. We had no bugs so they were free-range. As were we. The deck hosted gallons of coffee and cocktails. And we agree with Mary - the pool is not trashy. It was also larger than we expected. We could all be in at one time.
The chefs in the family marveled at the myriad of cooking equipment. There are tons of dishes and glassware so we always had clean dishes..
We explored the area some, but our main goal was to enjoy our time together - and the pool. SUCCESS!! Thank , Mary, and kudos to Red Arrow Lodge!

Long Awaited Vacation
We booked this vacation in the middle of the pandemic last year promising ourselves we would make it happen. Thanks to vaccines and planning we did and it was the perfect place for 2 families to get together for the first time in 18 months and hang out. The house is awesome, the pool was fabulous and it was so convenient to head to the Warren Dunes. Not only do we have zero complaints, we would absolutely rent this house again. Highly recommended.
