beautiful accommodation and friendly welcome

beautiful sitting area and very clean rooms. Rita was very friendly and thorough and sent on a guide of the town. 2 minute walk to most places - shop, restaurant and trails.

I had the experience I hoped for but didn’t expect.

I loved it all, the location, Rita and Pedro, the use of the kitchen. The only negative was that sound transferred from other rooms, and the balconies might be better served with glass between the slats so you don’t feel as though you are sharing a balcony..

Friendly staff, who made great recommendations for dinner options in the town. Our room had a lovely view over a small bay. Great breakfasts served on your balcony. Great location in the town (without being in a very busy street) with beautiful hiking trails along the coast.

I’m not sure all the rooms are exactly the same but our room was pretty small… we had two large bags and had to keep one on the balcony due to lack of space in the room. Our expectations for the look/feel/finishing of the place were overall a little higher than we were met with.

Well designed and cared for property in a sweet seaside town.

Really high standards of cleanliness, informative and welcoming staff. Yum breakfast. Cute town to stroll around.

I had anticipated more of a shared space to interact, important as travelling by myself. Not an issue at all, they had made good use of a small space, but probably wouldnt recommend for a solo traveller looking to meet people. Walls in rooms are quite thin too!

Superb

It was a very stylishly furnished place with an excellent breakfast. No reception, but the people were available and friendly and helpful when contacted. The housekeeping staff kept everything exceptionally clean. We were there mostly by ourselves and felt at home there, being able to grab a glass from the kitchen or make some coffee.

Some dogs barking at night kept my husband awake.

the guest house is beautifully decorated, clean, spacious, light filled with big floor to ceiling windows and feels like a lived in home!

property itself is 5 star - beautiful and modern comfortable beds with good linen big closet breakfast on balcony

Location - unfortunately nothing property could do anything about. Noise - lots of dogs barking all hours of the day and night. Recreation vehicles ( ATV's) going by Very limited ocean view but lovely countryside to look at.

Very nice room, clean and beautifully decorated and designed. Friendly and helpful hosts and staff. Good breakfast.

A bit pricey in comparison to other accomodations we had during our trip. A clothes horse would be nice to have when coming from the beach or hiking.

Breakfast was good, the staff were very friendly and eager to please.

The room that we stayed in was a bit small, it didn’t have a balcony as it faced onto the street which was quite noisy in the early hours due to staff and traffic coming and going to the bakery opposite the accommodation.

The place is quiet but within short walking distance to the main street and the beach, looks really nice and the staff is great!

The internet was slow and there were no blinds so the sun/light would enter the room and it was impossible for me to sleep after 8am.

Beautiful place

Pedro is an incredible host and I won't hesitate to recommend this place to my friends or anyone interested in visiting Porto Covo. This is a village with soul, and there's no better place than O Lugar that gives us the peace of mind that we look for. Incredible staff, Josélia was incredible and treated us like family, Pedro the host was so attentive and truly caring. The breakfast was delicious, the variety is impressive. The views and the interior decoration is a 10 out of 10. Simple and beautiful, the type of place you want to get back to in the future.

Great B&B, clean and modern. Good location, lovely balcony with view to the see. Breakfast served on the balcony, nice choice with fresh bread from the bakery across the road. Friendly and helpful staff. Enjoyable stay.

Highly recommended

Amazing place to stay! Our room & the whole guesthouse was extremely clean. The bed was very comfortable and everything was tastefully equipped and decorated. We got a great breakfast of our choice delivered to our balcony due to the pandemic.

Amazing location and breakfast, Nuno is very friendly and helpful and is a local from Porto Covo! Me and my friend loved everything. The view from the balcony is amazing.

Exceptional

We absolutely loved our stay at O Lugar. The place is modern and minimalist and located at a very convenient location. Breakfast was excellent with fresh bread and local products, the room was spacious, comfortable, clean and full of light. The staff was very attentive and extremely nice - they made us feel at home. They also had available complementary masks and hand sanitizer for their guests. As a plus, the shower gel and shampoo smelled wonderfully!
