It had everything one would need for self-catering. Good WiFi and DStv channel. Nice & intimate, perfect for couples. Loved it.

Fathima is a good host who got in touch with maintenance / housekeeping to resolve our issues as they arose. She also kept in informed on check in processes.
There were a lot of issues that arose
- the shower was recently renovated. The plumbers didn’t connect the rubber seals on the door correctly so the shower was opening inwards (I.e into the shower). when pushed closed, it wasn’t staying closed, thick resulted in water escaping and wetting the floor completely. Maintenance fixed this during our stay. water did still seep through but it was reduced.
- the toilet seat was loose
- the unit is much smaller than expected with no place to eat while inside the unit (you have to sit on the balcony which doesn’t protect you from the elements).
- only one set of towels is provided. weWe requested a change of towels at reception and found it difficult to get a new set. we had to call Fathima to arrange this for us.
- there is no signal which is a Zimbali issue that the host cannot control. But the wifi does not make up for it and is also weak.
- aircon didn’t work (might be due to Loadshedding)

Place is beautiful. Just the monkeys are abit of a problem, woke up in the morning and they were in the lounge going through our food items and throwing everything around.Glass Door was closed but they somehow managed to open it on their own.

nothing

The dinner at Fireroom was really disappointing ,really below standard Sushi and Thai food, this really put us of from having breakfast the next day at the hotel.I doubt that we will visit Zimbali again anytime soon,no matter how great the accommodation is/the food is what draws people and sadly Zimbali the standard of your food is really poor.
Had the Honey chicken at Fireroom-please chef ,go and taste what’s real egg fried at Daruma and how to prepare the crispy chicken. I have never tasted cooked Tuna crunch before -it certainly wasn’t a hit for us.Fireroom had the potential to be a great restaurant but sadly there’s not much thought that goes into the preparation of the food .

Love everything about it. the look, feel, comfort and location
The entry and exit process is a mess. so much confusion at the different gates. The process must be reviewed to make it easier for customer/guests.
