Idyllic location with lots of cycling options and great restaurants available in the area

The staff was really lovely and made us feel really comfortable and cared for. The setting is gorgeous and great for walking, running or cycling. The bed & shower were so comfy and the shower products smelled great. The mansion has been amazingly restored and beautifully styled, so it’s a super luxurious experience to be there. The bistro (which is a short stroll from the mansion) is really good, we enjoyed our lunch and dinner there. I especially enjoyed the sea bass ceviche! Breakfast is at the mansion and is very generous and exceptionally tasty, it’s especially enjoyable on the terrace on a beautiful day. It’s really worth the money.
There are some comfy seats by the lake outside to read and relax on sunny days. Overall we really, really loved our stay here and are likely to return.
The more affordable rooms (loft & coach house rooms) have quite small & really high windows so you miss out on views of the beautiful grounds unless you’re standing in front of them. There isn’t a lobby or library to relax if the weather isn’t nice enough for sitting outside, but there is a bar and comfy seats outside. We weren’t permitted to have breakfast outside on our second day, despite the fact that we had done so the day before and the weather was better. We had a 24-hour flight ahead of us so we were trying to enjoy as much outdoor time as possible, so we were a little disappointed at that. We were allowed to take our coffee outside afterwards. Their restaurant Voltaire isn’t open on Sundays and Mondays, so we didn’t get to try that, but the bistro is open and very nice.

The building and park are great. We had a great breakfast and our waitress was outstanding
whenever a guest goes to a hotel is to cover a basic need: being able to sleep and shower. The hotel had not hot water and we had to leave without having a shower. I think it is not acceptable for a 5 starts hotel and having the only reaction we are sorry. They were not even an small reaction to make us feel better
It is a shame.

calm and peaceful place with great taste of art deco.
the bath tub was a bit broken, and the water wasn’t hot enough even during the winter if you put it on the max.

A magical place surrounded by a park and lovely views,
The hotel looks charming from the outside and modern from the inside.
There was no gym

Location is amazing, use your chance to walk around the property. Setting is peaceful and surrounded by nature. There is more than enough parking space.
There are flies everywhere, in the small tiny elevator, in the room, when you eat your food, flies everywhere! When you come in the entrance you are greeted by a overwhelming smell of perfume, that is so strong it makes you sick, and it smells like it is covering other smells, so it more displeasing then anything else. Unacceptable for a 5 star rated hotel!

Beautiful location on the lake and within Utrechtse Heuvelrug. Our suite had an amazing view of the water with a bathtub making the most of this stunning outlook. The restaurant on the ground floor was cosy at dinner time with excellent service, unfortunately it experienced some challenges from a power outage and the dining experience was not what we expected as the menu had to be changed to fewer courses but we were still charged the full rate. Lunch at Lof, the next day was excellent.
The heating was set a little too low for us, however, this was a minor annoyance as there is so much to like about this wonderful property.

We couldn’t rent a bike, because the keys could not be found.

It's a beautiful location. It's bucolic. Romantic and even for going alone to enjoy the quiet and very nice location.
The check in was warm. Room was spacious, comfortable and had all ammenities. Food is amazing, room service and at their Michein Restaurant.
AirCo in the room is too noisy.
Check out was rude, it was like she was doing me a favor.
For a luxury hotel it missed a couple of things but overall experience is amazing.

The house. Smooth check-in.
No airconditioning in rooms, really hot during the day. Breakfast team seemed understaffed.

The grounds are beautiful. The furnishings and decor in the public rooms are elegant. The staff were all super pleasant and helpful. We had a wonderful dinner in the Bistro and delicious served breakfast in the hotel restaurant . It would be a sublime location for a wedding!
we took the simplest room which was spacious and comfortable. Lighting and bathroom really good. Missed not having a full length mirror and drawers or shelves for clothing- there was only hanging space

Voltaire’s diner was simply the best!

Stunning property that is immaculately maintained. Gracious staff willing to help with whatever you need. Bistro delivered 3 delicious courses with excellent suggestions for wine (also had quality non alcoholic choices). We will definitely be back!
A couple walking trails and a nearby toad was closed due to a storm cleanup but that was unavoidable since it involved fallen trees

The location is beautiful, the park is perfect for a stroll and the woods are nearby. The room itself and the service is at a very high level. The staff really does their best to make you enjoy your stay. And the food at Voltaire, one of the best meals I've had, just really good. Breakfast in the morning also great.
The TV didn't work but we only found out at 11pm so didn't want to alert reception anymore about this. And I had asked to somehow give a little attention to my husband who celebrated his birthday on Sunday and although it was mentioned they would take care of it it didn't happen. No big deal, it would have just made it a little extra special.
