About this cabin rental
Our Cabin is nestled between the Bradshaw mountain ranges at 5,800 feet and just 8 minutes from Downtown Prescott and only 3 miles to beautiful Goldwater Lake. Most other attractions such as Watson Lake, Lynx Lake, and Sharlot Hall Museum are just a short drive. This vacation rental is the perfect home away from home, sitting on 1.65 acres and expanding 2160 sq. ft.. This open floor plan home has a large and comfortable bedroom and an open loft Bedroom with some great views, as well as Two-and-a-half-bathrooms. The Cabin can comfortably accommodate up to seven people (2 king beds, 1 queen inflatable mattress, pull out sofa sleeper and 1 twin roll-a-way).
With a wraparound deck, you can take in the beautiful sunrise and enjoy the forest landscape with its stunning views. Summer temperatures are about 20 degrees cooler than those in Phoenix, with cool mornings and evenings in the summer. Wildlife such as deer, javelina, coyote, and wild turkeys can often be spotted on the property. In the evening, enjoy the sunset and then end your night with some star gazing that you just cannot get in the city.
If the indoors are more your style, enjoy the window nook just off the kitchen, or soak up the heat from the fireplace while playing board games. The screened in deck area is great for lunch, dinner or a happy hour. Floor to ceiling windows create a relaxing feel.
Recently under new ownership as of October 2021, this mountain home is equipped with WIFI, in case you need to get a little work done or stream your favorite shows and movies. Cellular service through Verizon and a few others, help keep you in touch. Tastefully decorated with down comforters (in the winter months), a Keurig coffee machine at the coffee bar, along with a well-stocked kitchen.
If you are looking to visit Downtown Prescott, only 8 minutes way, you can stroll the local stores, enjoy delicious food, and be close to everything you need. Grocery stores, such as Sprouts and Safeway are also just 10 minutes away.
We are happy to say we are dog friendly. A fenced dog area is just outside the screened in porch area for convenience. With a total pet fee of $100, we welcome up to 3 fur friends. Sorry, no cats allowed at this time.
Please be advised, due to its unique location and the home being a bit off the highway, there are 2 areas of semi steep incline/decline areas to traverse. While our Honda CRV (2 wheel drive) has no issues with this, we want to inform all guests that areas of the road are rather typical of a mountainside home. Pick up a little speed as you come up the driveway, and you will be fine. Additionally. in the winter, Prescott can receive a few days of snowfall each year. Heavy snowfall/ice may bring some challenging road conditions on the short dirt road. While not normally necessary, all-wheel drive is encouraged in the winter months. In the unlikely event, weather may extend your stay a few days since snowplows cannot be guaranteed.

Home and scenery was just great!
No complaints at all! 10 stars!!

Absolutely beautiful cabin in a wonderful neighborhood! Stellar views and very peaceful! Only a few minutes from the equally wonderful downtown area. Highly recommend!

Just what we needed! We took a small break from the craziness of life and hate to go back to Reality.

I recommend this cabin 100%. It's a beautiful cabin. Very peaceful. My family and I had a great time.

I absolutely loved the cabin! It was just perfect. The wildlife was definitely entertainment. Teenager loved the surround sound and loft area.

This is an excellent home in the woods. Other reviews mention the drive into the property. Yes, it is a bit of an issue. However, if you want a getaway in the woods what do you expect a 4-lane road? I would strongly recommend making sure you get there while it is still daylight. Just take your time and you will be fine.
The property is very nice, well equipped, clean and comfortable. It is secluded, which is very nice. Again, the drive in is a thing... if you want a secluded getaway, you should expect this, otherwise go stay in town.
There is no way to avoid stairs here. If you have mobility challenges, you should consider this.
We saw deer and coyotes on the property, which was a treat.
In summary, this is a very nice property in a great location. Clean and nice. Communication was great and check-in/out was easy. The additional damage insurance is understandable, but adds to the cost of the stay. Very convenient to downtown Prescott and Goldwater Lake. I would recommend. You will enjoy your stay!

We loved our stay in the quiet, cozy cabin. Especially after all the busyness of Christmas!!

Very much enjoyed our getaway at this amazing cabin. Extremely clean, well stocked with all the necessities and a beautiful interior.

I and my family love this house. We stayed there last year for two night, We quickly realized that two nights just wasn't enough. So we rented it for three nights this time around. We were not disappointed. Saturday night I emptied the black water container they have outside and refilled it with fresh water. Sunday morning we had Javelina and deer come drink from it. It was quite the pleasant treat! Please read my pervious review on this property. I really love this place and for sure will be back next year. Thank you for sharing your property with us. Look forward to being back next year. P.S. I really want to see the horror movie that was filmed there. I'll be looking for it on YouTube. Awesome, awesome place.

We loved our stay. It was relaxing and overall comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances and dishes. The living room was very comfortable. We loved the views. While there, we saw javelinas, deer and even a couple of tarantulas on the driveway. My only complaint was the loft, which is the only other sleeping area other than the master bedroom, did not allow much privacy or a buffer for any noise. It is a beautiful property though. We would stay again.

Nice, clean, and quiet. The perfect place to recharge and decompress, yet close enough to the town to do things. Very beautiful cabin!

Great cabin! The loft is huge and we woke up to a great view of treetops out the massive windows. The screened in porch was great for breakfasts and the dinners had amazing sunset views. Yeah, the road in is steep, so what? Everything was as expected or better. Would definitely rent this again!

We had a great time. The dirt road to the cabin was a lil tricky but other than that everything was great.

Amazing home, loved it!

Overall impression of this property is great. We had a great time exploring it and the sirrounding woods, saw deer, javelina, and many different birds. Rooms were spacious and private.

Very clean and nice cabin, well stocked and comfortable. It rained all week, so it made it difficult to get in and out of the cabin location. It is definitely off the road, so be prepared if rain or snow conditions occur.
It would be nice to have a window covering option, as it was difficult to watch tv during most of the day.
Overall, great cabin and had everything you needed.

It is a beautiful chalet in a lovely setting. It was a little dicey finding it but we did!

We love staying at this cabin. Beautiful views and we love the cabin itself!

My wife and I stayed for a week, and enjoyed every minute and look forward to staying again. If you think about selling it, put us at the top of the list. 😃

Everything was really beyond our expectations! The structure itself, all of the amenities, the breathtaking views. We can't say enough! We just hope it will be available the next time we spend some time in Prescott!

This was our first trip to Prescott and we had an amazing time. The house is perfect! Clean with all the things you need for a great stay! I would definitely stay here again.

Property was beautiful with great views from every room. Wonderful kitchen and living area. We have already booked another stay.

There is not a better spot up there to enjoy the scenery, but yet be close to town for anything you might need. I am lucky enough to say this is my second visit to this property and will not be my last..

Amazing time with family and wonderful location for New Year’s celebration. The property host is responsive and quick to answer questions.

Beautiful cabin snuggled off the main roads. Close to historic Prescott, beautiful lakes and hiking trails.

We had a great time at this out of the way gorgeous cabin. Though somewhat in town, it is nicely separated from surrounding properties. Best to have 4-wheel drive if weather is bad due to grades getting to property. We loved the house. One thing to note, the upper bedroom and bath has no shutters or curtains so the sun comes in early. Kitchen was well appointed, there were games....we enjoyed Rummicube. The gas fireplace felt great as the temps dipped into the 30'.
Had deer literally 20 feet from house one morning. Very nice overall.

This house is amazing. We had a wonderful stay here. It’s so peaceful and quite, exactly what we needed. Perfect location to Goldwater Lake as well as downtown Prescott. Roads leading to the property can be a little tricky, however we took our Tesla Model Y which does not have 4 wheel drive and were perfectly fine. Just go slow and you will be fine. We definitely will be back.

Beautiful location, perfectly set up and easy, fast communication! Overall stay was perfect. Wouldn’t ask for more in a vacation rental. Thank You for a great trip!
4.8
The house and property was fine, where it fell short was the drive way to access the property. The listing mentions nothing about a long dirt road with steep grades. During our stay it rained and we needed 4 wheel drive at times to access the drive way of the home. I would recommend any potential tenets to have 4-wheel drive capabilities if you choosing to stay there. Outside of access the home was great.

We felt like we were secluded in the woods! Quiet. All amenities. Beautiful property - we will be back!

First off, I'd like to say our contact Melanie was so helpful, patient and cordial with some last minute details I failed to complete before my stay. Thank you so much Melanie.
About the rental: The pictures online don't do this place justice, they look yellowish and a bit off-putting but when you enter the house you are greeted with this gorgeous entry my Grandson immediately claimed the loft! Everything was really clean. which is very important to me. We enjoyed the Arizona room. It's where we ate our dinners. The wraparound deck was awesome, we had a couple of drinks out there and spotted some wild life. My only concern was the road (in a couple of spots) was a bit challenging but if you take a running start or have four wheel drive you can work your way though it. Overall this place had everything we needed, great energy, beautiful views, quiet and most of all very relaxing. We can't wait to come back! Thank you for sharing this wonderful home with us. If you are thinking about renting this place, it's well worth it! enjoy. Xavier R.

Beautiful cabin in the Ponderosa Pines on a hillside. Close to Prescott but yet out in the country. Front door access would not work, had to enter thru the garage. On our last evening we saw a mouse in the living room. Home needs pest controls or mouse traps before they get out of hand.

This was a beautiful home and we lacked for nothing during our stay. It was immaculate when we arrived, and everything was well-organized and neatly labeled. We enjoyed hiking and nature watching, trips to Goldwater Lake and downtown Prescott, and reading and relaxing in this gorgeous setting. It is close to town but felt like a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle. We loved every minute and would book another stay here in a heartbeat!

Prescott Pines Getaway
This property has the best of both worlds. It's close to town, yet private and quiet. Beautiful, comfortable and spacious.

This cabin is so peaceful and the area is beautiful. It was very clean and very well stocked. The only thing I would mention is that the road to the cabin is a little hard to drive. I would not recommend having a small car in this area, especially if there has been rain in the area. the road is steep and not paved. Otherwise this is a great place for a great getaway.
