Fijn huisje op een toplocatie en prachtig eiland.

Fijn huisje op een toplocatie. Het centrum is op 2 minuten aan te lopen. Veel horecagelegenheden, een supermarkt, bakker, drogisterij en VVV op loopafstand.

Steep stairs, not recommended for families with children/pets, bad maintenance

Clean and located in a nice neighborhood. Has a terrace. New bathrooms.

We're giving a low rating because we booked and paid for a 5 night stay and ended up moving out after the first night because: - Accommodation had very steep stairs that we found dangerous. We have a 4 month old baby that needs to be washed 5-6 times a day and the bathroom facilities were on the second floor. - The steep stairs and the bathroom location are not mentioned in the description of the accommodation. Photos of the home do not display the stairs as if it is done on purpose. Only a note "upper floors accessible by stairs" next to a wheelchair icon (which we find misleading as it mentioned next to accessibility in wheelchairs). Only Android version displays this info this way, which we used to book our stay). - When booking the accommodation we informed the hosts that we are travelling with a baby. The hosts did not warn us about the stairs. Unfortunately, when speaking to the hosts, we felt that they showed no understanding or cared about our concern. Their reaction was purely business oriented and no compensation was offered and zero flexibility was shown. Other: - Accommodation looks nicer on photos than in real life. Maintenance could be better - trees were dry, kitchen furniture is in a bad condition and old, floors are very bad quality plastic laminate, walls had spots, entrace door had a cracked window. - Minimum amenities included, like one roll of toilet paper :), bed sheets are for extra charge, etc. - Bedroom is on the upper floor and toilet is on the ground floor. - It is not soundproof even though the description states "soundproof". When flushing the toilet downstairs, our baby would wake up being upstairs.

Superb

- Location is perfect and it is very clean. - The place is very new and very comfortable in general. - The location is very quiet.

- The bed and pillows were not comfortable and had back pain afterwards. - Insufficient toilet paper. -A bit cold in the bedroom as there was no heating there.

Ameland, Hollum, location of property & friendly owners

Second bedroom...strange configuration...OK for kids but not couple No toilet upstairs....results in exciting trips in the middle of the night!!

Great spacious apartment with comfortable beds, well-equipped kitchen and nice bathroom with great shower.

Good location

When we arrived, the hosts friend was still fixing the TV, we waited outside. The bear minimum was given and the host wanted us out of the unit at 10h00 promply. She reminded us several times for tax money.
