About this apartment rental
Paradise Valley Cottage is your comfortable home away from home set amongst giant willows and pine trees with a view of the Rocky Mountains. The cabin is a stand alone building on our ranch with a very private entrance. The cabin is centrally located between Livingston and Yellowstone National Park with easy access to all that Paradise Valley has to offer. Step onto the wood deck and flagstone patio to enjoy the magnificent mountain views and barbecue your favorite meal. Walk along Eight Mile Creek to our private pond and enjoy the music of the water flowing while gazing up at Emigrant Peak.
Five miles from the cottage is Chico Hot Springs. After a day of hiking or skiing this is the place to be to sooth your tired muscles and relax. Here you can catch a meal at the grill or make reservations for a more elegant dinner in the dining room. Later, you can take in a live band and dance the night away. On the way to Chico Hot Springs there is a general store with everything you can imagine and across the street is a post office, bank, deli, bakery and the Old Saloon where you can enjoy a fantastic breakfast, burger or your favorite beverage.
The biggest attraction is just 35 miles south - Yellowstone National Park. Besides the famous Old Faithful Geyser, you will see wildlife - bison, elk, bear, big horn sheep, and if you're really lucky, wolf. The Park has so many wonderful sights that one day is never enough. If you are able, hike some of the back trails to really experience the peaceful beauty and in the winter, take a snow coach tour, snowmobile, or cross-country ski to enjoy the silence and pristine beauty.
For all the fishermen out there, Yellowstone River is easily accessed by our private site, one-half mile from the cottage. Set your drift boat in the river or wade in to catch rainbow and brown trout. Whether you are fly fishing or bait fishing, Yellowstone River will not disappoint. In the summer, if you're look for a boating experience or want to sunbath at the beach of a lake, Daily Lake is 15 minutes away and swimming, sailing, fishing and windsurfing are some of the popular activities found on this lake.
In the town of Livingston, among all the necessities (grocery store, pharmacies) you will find museums, art galleries, a farmer's market on Wednesdays throughout the summer, restaurants and boutique shops. There is also an 18-hole golf course and Sacajawea Park which hosts the annual music summer fest in July. Wintertime brings to Livingston live plays at the Blue Slipper and Firehouse, seasonal events such as the Christmas Stroll, bazaar and New Years Dance at the Depot.

What a wonderful place to stay. The fire pit and stars where amazing. So quiet - we loved to see the horses and mule. Would love to stay again.

This cottage is so cute and has everything you could need. We grilled out supper one evening. Nice comfortable bed, very clean and tasteful. We even had a black bear show up in the property one morning. There is a one mile stretch of road that is extremely rough so if you’re traveling in a car, be prepared to drive very very slow. Had we been in our truck or jeep it would have been easier. This is no fault to the owner, just a heads up. The cabin/cottage was perfect. I highly recommend!

The curb appeal is pretty rough but it is nice inside. Comfortable and clean. Not much for views from inside and it could use a few more curtains but it ended up being a good place to relax and sleep. The satellite internet comes and goes but the manager made extra effort to try to get us connected.

We loved our stay. The cottage was beautiful, furnishings very comfortable, and scenery the scenic setting was peaceful and incredibly scenic. Just one word of caution - access is via a rather rough dirt road so if you’re renting a car you may want to request an SUV or cross over vehicle.
Highly recommended!

We were hoping for a real nice opportunity to feel like we were locals. We didn’t want to stay in a tourist spot like Gardiner and we were 45 min from Yellowstone National Park entrance. We loved this ranch house. We truly felt safe and comfy after our long day excursions to the park, horseback riding and Yellowstone river rafting. Super relaxing, you can’t help but relax with gorgeous views and beautiful horses an adorable pony, bunnies running around and chickens in their coup!

We were in Emigrant to attend a wedding and this lovely cottage was just minutes from the venue. It is very comfortable and private. The views are beautiful from the back porch while sipping your morning coffee. The cottage is very well equipped. We enjoyed our stay!

Loved staying at Paradise Cottage. Chris was accommodating with an earlier check in and even brought over fresh eggs. We loved seeing the horses in the field from the front door and it was lovely walking to the pond.

The road to the site is full of large rocks and big holes, driving in is not pleasant The studio is much larger than it appears in pictures. The bed is the most comfortable we've had on our three week trip. Host shared fresh eggs.

We absolutely loved our stay, we couldn’t have found a better place to stay. It was so quiet and out of the way. We enjoyed the wildlife that are on the property. The owners were delightful and so accommodating.

The peaceful slice of paradise was perfect. It had a fully functioning kitchen, plenty of sleeping space and was very quiet. It was a shirt driving distance from the north entrance to Yellowstone and other beautiful hiking destinations. I hope to have this adventure again soon.

Incredible! Stunning! Beautiful! Surrounded by mountains! Peaceful! It was the most perfect area to stay. Chico Hot Springs was only a few miles away.
The bed was comfortable, kitchen was cute, and there were plenty of books to read.
The dirt/gravel road was a beautiful walk in the morning to start each day. Sounds of water rushing through the creek running through the property was phenomenal!
The only downfalls were not being able to really sit outside to eat due to the horse pasture and the manure being directly next to the porch. Also, the owner’s dogs would start barking fairly early. And man, the little road next to the property, Paradise Ranch Road, horribly bumpy! Nothing the owners can do about that. Oh, a few more wash cloths would be helpful. 😉
I was able to do some astrophotography one night, watched a wonderful storm roll in, saw beautiful rainbows, watched the mountain bluebirds by their nest, and thoroughly enjoyed the bunnies playful exuberance each day. One was even eating under the chair I had fallen asleep in.
We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! Thank you for hosting us. We’re sorry we lost the keys, but we’re happy we were able to replace them for you!

You can not beat the views from this little slice of paradise! Peaceful, quiet and getting into Yellowstone from the North side is so much easier! I've shared the vrbo listing with family and friends who saw the pictures i took and were blown away by the beauty!

Good overall. Super muddy if raining or snowing. Very rough roads from highway to property. May have been due more to moisture.

I property was as described. Loved having Boots and Willie the horses out in the front. Made the stay very peaceful. Mountain view amazing from this house. Very fast response if we had a question

A cozy little peaceful place close to a Yellowstone entrance. It is a beautiful area. The owners leave you alone to enjoy our time. The thermostat controlled fireplace as well as a stand alone A/C unit keeps the place comfortable. My recommendations: the bed needs replaced. If someone rolls over in bed it is loud enough to disturb everyone, also those with physical issues have a difficult time getting up and down due to the height of the bed. Most things are thoughtfully provided though they were out of laundry detergent, we don't all bat 1000% all the time. I realize this isn't the only place off the access road but it would be nice if the owners would get together and have the road maintained, it is awful. The ceiling fan needed cleaning. I'd give it a 4.5 if I could. I do recommend it.

It’s a really beautiful and quiet place to stay. We loved it, especially the little bunnies that lived outside.

We very much enjoyed our stay on the "ranch" in Paradise Valley. Although out in the country, it was Montana "near" to the North entrance to Yellowstone National Park which we visited twice during our 3 night stay.
The property had all the necessary equipment for cooking and although it was technically a "studio" it was a large open space/room with a large bathroom.
We would recommend staying here.

My husband, my adult daughter and myself stayed here for 2 nights. It is close enough to the Yellowstone National Park and the Yellowstone Hot Springs, so the location was perfect for us. We didn't have any interactions with the owners. We waved one morning when she was feeding the horses, but maybe she didn't see us. The size was good for our needs, as we were not there much. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The only complaint we had is, when we would arrive or venture outside, there were a lot of barking dogs, which sounded like a kennel. This kind of took away from the peacefulness for us. This may not bother some people, but was not enjoyable for us. Just not our cup of tea.

We took day trips leave in the morning and coming back at night to fix dinner, relax and sleep. It’s a great place to stay with out loads of people. We had an issue with the shower and Chris popped over instantly to fix it. It’s a close stay for Yellowstone and Chico Hot Springs.

We loved our stay here!!!! It is so quiet and peaceful. It was the perfect home base for us while we explored numerous hiking trails.
I was especially appreciative of all the cottage was stocked with. Many places throw anything left but it was nice to find bear spray, bug spray, sunscreen, toiletry items.
Coffee outside in the mornings with the horses and the view was the absolute best while we took a week to unwind from busy and hectic lives.
((Only advice is the road going to the cottage is rough, which has nothing to do with the owners. We were very thankful for our Jeep. Just need to know it’s a bumpy and rough 3/4 mile to the cottage, so not much, but it’s slow going and would be rough in a small car.))
We hope to return sometime soon.

The beauty of the scenery is undescribable. You look out the patio window and see the mountains in the distance and the horse and pony 20 feet away behind the corral. The cottage has everything anybody could ever need. We cooked every breakfast and dinner there on our four days stay, the host are prompt to answer any question and a right around the corner We hope to go back there next year
