Clean room with nice view of the canal. Small toilet & shower.
Quirky house with lots of steps & stairs so could be a problem for older customers.
Cats.
Breakfast is a rather disorganised affair.
The owner has a tendency to be rather autocratic.
4.1
Great room with a view.
Rohan is a little sleepy and the choice of restaurants are limited.
We spent a couple of days cycling along the canal, it's great.

Beautiful location , lovely evening meal in the company of the other guests

Lovely host, beautiful location, great view outside our room- We had a fine stay, enjoyed the place, the town, the location. We would recommend highly! Thank you for an excellent stay. The peacocks and cats who lived there were additional pleasures.
We had no complaints.
Breakfast was lovely.
Other visitors who were at breakfast were friendly and pleasant.
No complaints. No problems.
Highly recommended place to visit.
We had a great time there.

Fantastic location, great breakfast, helpful host, great spirit

Location very convenient for local amenities- supermarket, restaurants etc. The room was very individual ,very comfortable especially the bed - superb!
Breakfast was good - homemade jams and yoghurt and gluten free requests were met.Very well equipped kitchen which allowed us to be ‘home from ‘.
I suppose that access for someone with limited mobility would be a problem - especially if they were a wheelchair user.

Host was very good, made you feel welcome explained everything to us.
Made a point that she was there to help if needed for anything ie booking restaurants places to visit etc.
It is a large home run by a caring dedicated host, very well too.
It's different to other places but that is fine,it's not a formula hotel where it's the same where ever you go.
Nothing not to like.

We loved our stay. It is a perfectly named guesthouse! We felt calm and relaxed. Had a great night’s sleep and a delicious breakfast, with the best tea selection I’ve ever seen in France! It’s a beautiful and elegant building, and I felt like I was in some great old French movie.

We stayed for 3 days in this elegant house which is like a mini-chateau. Agnes our hostess was very welcoming and has created a relaxing place for her guests to enjoy in this beautiful part of the countryside.
Nothing to dislike

Lovely old French house, pretty location, good restaurant Le petit tonneau close by, superb breakfast.

Lovely old villa with great view of the canal. The room was lovely, so was the large bathroom. All amenities are there. The bed was super comfortable.
Hand written notes everywhere (!) with firm instuctions (in French) on what to do and not to do during the stay. ‘Close this door’, ‘do not close this door’, ‘put this trash here, that trash there and this not here’ Do this, not that, endless
‘Instructions’. Though I understand the good intentions all the do’s and dont’s made it hard ro relax. As if we had to TipToe our way around the House and try not to be seen nor heard. We brought two quiet and well behaved dogs - as dogs are accepted but they did not seem welcome at all - but rather as a nuisance. All in all a not very relaxing stay.

loved the character of the building and the views over the canal.
dis-organised breakfast took the shine off an enjoyable stay, no cereal, no water in kettle only old bread until halfway through.

needs to be made clear it is a vegetarian hotel

The position and the house were great, quiet, picturesque. we enjoyed our dinner with our fellow guests.
Breakfast was a little chaotic for those who like an early start.

Beautiful old villa in lovely spot on the canal. Easy private parking. Short walk to the village and a carrefore.
Lovely room with balcony and views over the canal. Great for watching the boats go thru the lock. Everything clean and comfy. Good bed and nice shower.
The owner is very friendly and helpful and serves a delicious breakfast. Her cats are cautious so unobtrusive and do not go in the bedrooms. The peacocks are hilarious!
There are some restaurants nearby - the creperie was excellent - but we also ate on the balcony of our room and watched the sunset. There is a little kitchen so we were able to store our picnic in the fridge.
This accommodation is beautifully rustic, quirky and very French. People who have criticised it lack imagination and heart.
This is not a criticism just info for the traveller - ensuite bathrooms may be a little lacking in privacy (!) but there are extra loos along the corridor near your room if you require more privacy!
