Not worth the extra money over other BnB’s in the area. Would not stay again even if it was cheaper.

The property has a good location with amenities only a short drive away. Probably the only thing that is good about it.

We booked a standard double room with breakfast. Upon arrival at check in I was told I’m lucky I got a room with a double bed as they are overbooked and it was ‘saved for me’. They had a lot of events on and the staff focus clearly was not on guests staying overnight rather the events taking place in the venue. After driving a few hours I didn’t really say anything to the staff and just took the room key and thanked them we then went to our room to find it was not a double bed literally a kid and single adult would struggle to sleep on it and was told nothing else is available and we didn’t book a ‘deluxe’ room. The sink was blocked and the plugs/electricity in the room had tripped. It took staff over 20 minutes to get the sink unplugged and breaker switched on and that was only after 2 trips to the front desk and just by luck encountering a member of staff outside my room who was willing to help. The actual person that was being sent from the front desk never arrived. The bed was uncomfortable and you could feel the springs in it. On the day of check out I requested to check out at 12pm which I did enquire about prior to booking and was told it’s not a issue just to let reception know. That was not the case and was told nope they are not able to as they are fully booked again.

Pleasant overnight stay at Holiday Inn.

We stayed here for 1 night whilst on a roadtrip holiday from Australia. We were actually booked elsewhere but the booking fell through very last minute on us so we were left searching for a new place to stay. Found this one and it turned out great in the end. Staff at reception were so lovely they even upgraded us after hearing of our bad experience with our previous booking. Our room was nice, for a pleasant overnight stay. Bed was spacious, comfortable, TV and WIFI worked well and shower next morning was nice and hot. Even the toiletries provided were good. Plenty of free parking was available on the site. A few minutes walk away we also enjoyed some delicious Indian food that night at Basmati Restaurant.

Nothing really, a restful overnight stay.

Hotel good just wasn't impressed with restaurant.

The cleaning staff and reception staff were very friendly, the room was nice enough.

The waiting staff, I was ignored by waitresses working Saturday mid day. Our food had a 20 minute time gap. My meal was served first. I didn't even eat my meal as it wasn't very nice but couldn't get anyone's attention. At breakfast on Sunday, when showing my receipt to use the breakfast buffet the man grabbed it out my hand very abruptly. He honestly shocked me with how rude he was.

Value for money

The restaurant was very efficient. Both dinner and breakfast was lovely. I feel the half board option was good value for money. The room was clean and tidy and served as a good stop off for 1 night.

Room felt cold and, though an Executive Room that should have been on the ground floor it was a relative smaller room than I am used too on the 1st floor. Quite a walk if you struggle with mobility.

The pool itself was a good temp and the kids enjoyed it The bathroom in our room was lovely and clean Plenty of parking Sofa bed was set for the 2 kids (I didn't have to do it)

Toilet facilities at the swimming pool were disgustingly dirty (kids even commented) 3 out of 4 of us woke up with bits When checking out I spoke with the hotel staff (reception) and what I was told was (sometimes the bed bugs go behind the skirting boards) no apology!! I watched a cleaning lady kick and throw laundry down the public stairs!!

Swimming pool was out of action the entire time of our stay., firstly because of a fault and then because of lack of staff. Whilst we appreciate that they have to repair the pool and get the chemicals right, having a pool was the main reason we booked. They did send us to a leisure centre, but the hours were not as good as the hotels. Would have preferred to have been informed ahead of arrival that there was an issue.

Great location for a stopover as just off the M6. The hotel staff are very helpful and friendly. Rooms are i the process of being refurbished which will be as additional bonus when completed. Good breakfast choices.
