Good location. The staff were lovely very friendly and nothing too much trouble.
We met friends and had an evening meal in the pub, the food was delicious.
The rooms were comfy and ideal for a few days to catch up with family in the area.
nothing.

Lots of character in a good old fashioned pub.
Not much.

A few things where different like when we ordered fresh fruit we thought it would be chopped up but instead it came one apple,Orange, banana. The rest was fine.
I think the rooms need a but of T L C.

I met a young male member of staff who were supposed to check with someone to see if the breakfast was included etc, but never came back and when we went into the establishment the male was nowhere to be seen and no one to enquire too. We couldn't get a signal for the TV, I found a dirty sock in the wardrobe, there was brown residue around the main shower tray and hair in the sink plug hole.

Cooked breakfasts were very good, continental breakfast was average.
choices on the dinner menu were not available on more than one occasion.

Excellent guest house, really good rooms and superb restaurant services. Phil the owner very friendly and accommodating, would thoroughly recommend A+++
Although the excellent breakfast was included in my stay, a couple of non-resident friends joined me both mornings and did comment that the price of the breakfast was a bit on the high side at £14.95, a more reasonable price would have been around £10 - £12. Paying extra for tea or coffee was also a bit disappointing. Again, didn't affect me as breakfast was included in the stay.

Breakfast was very good Boiled eggs done to perfection Hiwever not the breakfast we are used to for bed and breakfast It seems the modern way of doing things is choose one item from an inclusive menu No cereal to start or toast to finish Prepared to accept we are aging clientele and need to adapt Plenty of tea
See above Had problem
With plumbing and no way to get help Coukd only explain at breakfast and no solution for us No chair or worktop in room

Room was good. Pub and dinner excellent.
Didn't know that breakfast wasn't available until we got there.

Lovely staff went the extra mile to make you feel welcome.
Shower was a bit temperamental but nice enough once I got the knack.

The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Lovely surroundings. Good rooms. Family and dog friendly. Brilliant food.
There is no bus service until you go into the village, which is more than a mile away.

Convenient location for my journey. Room away from the main road. My evening meal was specially made due to garlic intolerance & delicious. My dog & I were made very welcome in the room & bar. I would stay here again.

The staff are just amazing. Customer service was excellent. We stayed for a meal which was good. Would have been nice to sit outside in the courtyard near the rooms but it was too wet. We will have to return in the summer!
Breakfast menu was a bit confusing but the food (and coffee) were very good.

It's a shame the breakfast is provided in a carry bag (I think the kitchen is closed in the morning), because the level of the dinner was fantastic. My colleagues suggested trying the pie, and it really is something to do: superb!
As mentioned, I would have preferred a cooked breakfast. Other than that, the room was good and the dinner was great.

nothing to dislike is all exceptional

Oh dear! I ordered an early breakfast 07:30. This was confirmed online. At 07:30 the door was open but there was no one around at 07:45 a very nice lady arrived. She was not aware of my early breakfast and in the time available to me all I could have was a cup of tea and some Rice Crispies. For this I was charged over £9!!!!! I did not have time to argue. I will probably not be returning.
Quilt was small on single bed and fell off several times during the night. Then there was the breakfast.

Over all it was a lovely place to stay. They have annexe rooms at the back of the pub with a sharing court yard with ouside seating etc. The food was excellent and staff were so polite and always seem to enjoy having quick talks with you.

bathroom small, entrance so tight, that anyone slightly over medium build, would have difficulty getting into the shower.
