It’s quiet, good breakfast
The door lock is very very hard to lock and open, somehow we are three people couldn’t get the wifi at all even though the staff tried to help.

Such a unique and charming place. Our daughter loved the secret room 😊 Everything was lovely.

A big surprise! Located in a busy area but you’d never know. Nice gardens and very amenable host. Very easy, and quick, drive to the ferry port.
Nothing, with possibly exception of lack of croissants at breakfast. To us the make a petit dejuener!

Room and comfort of the bed and bathroom and the swimming pool.
We had a very short time for breakfast which we found disappointing. It was fine if you want cake and sliced bread for breakfast. We were hoping for croissants or french bread.
We didn’t like being woken up at 2.45 with people talking loudly outside our room. They continued despite us asking them to stop. They did eventually. I’m assuming the owners didn’t hear them.

Really lovely old building with individual rooms and nice antiques. A beautiful garden and lovely pool which was very welcome on a hot day. location looks bad when you first arrive but the road noise is nil in the Manoir. Benoit was a welcoming host with good English and the breakfast was excellent, only very minor point is the bathroom which was a shower head on the tap and no hook on the wall, but it’s quite nice to sit in the tub showering for a change. All in all one of the best hotels we have stayed in for years.
shower was a bit basic

The decorations were really interesting and well thought out with a mix of old and new. The rooms were really comfy with plenty of space and lovely comfortable beds, and the grounds were really beautiful.
The pool is open for 4 hours a day in 2 hour sessions which was a little frustrating for my kids who love to swim. Also we got locked out of the house in the middle of the day. You could ring an outdoor bell to alert people to your presence, but it was very windy when we were there so we weren't heard. Plus all the guests seemed to arrive for breakfast at the same time and there weren't enough tables so we went back to our room for 30 mins to wait for a space. Not huge inconveniences but with young kids it made it a little stressful.
The location is perfect for easy access to St Malo which is a beautiful old town with lots to do however it is quite a walk, so expect to drive in for meals etc, as there aren't many restaurants local to the house.

magnificent blend of new (bathroom facilities) with old (decour, paintings, interesting objets d'art etc) just wonderful

Private parking.
There was nothing we didn’t like but consider it would be better for a longer stay rather than one night with a early start for the ferry.

Beautiful setting and really characterful French manoir. It was a really hot day and the facilities were all good.
Breakfast was a little crowded as everyone decided to attend at the same time. . Great selection of foods. Lovely setting

The room was very pleasant and the bed was comfortable. Due to a very early start (I was taking the 6.30 am ferry to Jersey), I did not have any breakfast. But the facilities were as stated on the website.
The history of the house and Richard Surcouf was interesting - and the intriguing family 'tree' was fun to read.
No comments - the stay was enjoyable. For the English, it may be helpful to have some milk in the room for tea and coffee.

The property was in an ideal
location. Room was spotless. The added bonus were the pool and spa facilities. Breakfast was plentiful.
The host was excellent and very accommodating.
The shower wasn’t the best.
mind the step and mind your head signs could be added.

This historic manoir has been skilfully restored by the present owners and is a refreshing alternative to chain hotels. Furnishings and decor are in period - but not to the detriment of comfort and convenience, and our room, Marie-Pauline, was charming. Benoit was on hand to help with any requests. The gardens that surround the manoir give a sense of peace and being in the countryside and it is easy to forget you are near a city. The house is easily accessible from the main roads and close to the Carrefour supermarket/petrol (also 10 minutes by car to the ferry terminal) but you can also easily get to the centre of Saint-Malo on the No.1 bus that stops just nearby.

Our accomodation was excellent being furnished in good quity a tique furniture.
I appreciated the large bath in the unusually big bathroom.
I liked everything.

It's an old Chateau (very old) but interesting history and lovely garden, very reasonable and good breakfast included
This is not a hotel it's a guest house and you can't check in before 4 p.m.

Fab building, quaint room, nice helpful host, plenty of parking
Internet was slow, bed was hard, no drinks licence or food available so we had to go out. Good recommendations from host on where to go
