Want to make this a "once a year" trip!

Everything! We were welcomed warmly by Gianluca, who really made our stay memorable. We ordered some drinks on the balcony to enjoy the sunset and he gave us such an overwhelming complimentary grazing spread! Our room was a great size for us as a couple, comfortable bed and the air conditioning was a dream. The bathroom was clean and came with great olive oil products to use. The hotel is up on a slight slope which boasts amazing sunsets views, especially from our room 1. There is also a large terrace which you can enjoy a drink from too. Aswell as a view, the hotel also has a pool, jacuzzi and a beautiful setting for an evening meal. It's about a leisurely 15mins walk to the centre of the beautiful Forio, and 25mins walk to the stunning Giardini la Mortella with places to stop for food and drinks. There is a bus stop right at the bottom of the road a 3mins walk from the hotel, going in both directions, so easy access to and from the port of Ischia, Forio and sant'Angelo. We only stayed for 2 nights, but we can't wait to go back for longer as the people on Ischia are so friendly, the food is really 👌 and we really loved this hotel! So again thanks to Gianluca for welcoming us to the island of Ischia!

Lovely little hotel, with excellent service

Lovely, little hotel. Staff was absolutely brilliant, always extremely helpful and friendly. If you wish, you may have your dinners there (as well as a very good breakfast buffet). Food was delicious, and lots of it! Rabbit on Thursdays - be there... The hotel can also fix you up with massages and spa services. We had a room up on the top floor, next to the terrace. Both places had great views over the neighbourhood, and the beach 400 m away. We went to Chalet Nonna Carmela, and were very happy with that. You will see beautiful sunsets, either from the hotel, or maybe from one of the small restaurants along the beach. We tried L'Ancora, La Ruota and Mare Chiaia; all were good in their own way. Also went to Saturnino, which was great (albeit a tiny bit on the pricey side). Enclosing a drone shot of the hotel and an example of the sunsets you are likely to experience from your own balcony. All in all: Ischia can be warmly recommended, for so many reasons - and Iris Hotel is just one of them.

Can't really complain. There is a street going past the hotel, and you will hear some motoring. But nothing really disturbing, more like the odd Vespa or car. Stay on the side when you are walking to the beach, though; the streets are narrow.

Exceptional

I could not imagine a better boutique hotel. The staff are all very friendly and helpful and they become your friends. The hotel is a short walk to the beach and we also used the pool everyday. The meals are very tasty and surprised us with their high quality.

We wished we could have stayed longer.

Staff are nice and very clean room.

All staff are very kind and gentle. This area is very quiet also we saw nice view from the balcony. Good sized room and very clean. Shower is good. There are a bar and a pool, Breakfast is fantastic!

A really happy and comfortable 5 night stay at the Iris Hotel

The friendliness and helpfulness of all the staff. Jean Luc and the young lady on reception always greeted us with a smile. The hotel is clean and bright with lovely views. The breakfast is very good and we had 2 delicious dinners at the hotel. There are several sitting areas including by the pool and jacuzzi. The bus stop is close and it is only a short walk to the seafront.

We would have liked a kettle in the room but staff willingly provided hot water on request.

Exceptional

The staff went above and beyond to cater for our every need. The place was exceptionally clean with a lovely bathroom and excellent shower. The food was delicious and great value at €20 for a 3 course meal. The location was perfect for the beach and Forio.

There was nothing at all that I didn't like.

Pleasant Stay with Friendly Helpful Staff

Staff were all really nice, friendly and helpful. It's a small hotel which means all the staff recognise you and say hello, etc. and make you feel welcome. Room was very clean. Towels changed when we required them to be changed. Lovely view of the Sunsets every night from our balcony! (Room 3). Nice coffee at breakfast. Close to a nice beach (approx. 350m) and bus stop at end of the road, approx. 200m.

Beds were very hard, not to our liking! It's a little way out of town centre but within walking distance (approx. 15/20mins). Would have liked more fruit options at breakfast as only apples or oranges and Egg options as only 'fried' offered.
