I arrived by car (taxi) but the access to the hotel is via the beach - luckily, the tide was low and the staff helped with my suitcase. I was given a room on the ground floor but they changed it without any problem when I asked. The staff were very nice (didn't speak a lot of English, but I don't speak Thai either...- and we managed to communicate just fine).
The hotel is right on the beach. It's clean and quite recently done up. It's on a quiet beach for Koh Samet, which is what I was looking for. There was one night when a near by hotel or bar was noisy but compared to other areas of the island it was a lot more chilled. Mix of families and adults.
I'd advise getting the speedboat there as it's really close to the jetty. I didn't on the way there but chose that option on the way back to the mainland. Book that option as a return journey before you get to Samet as it'll be a lot cheaper (even if it's quite cheap anyway).
You can do the coastal walk all the way to the village - from one beach to the next.
The breakfast was basic and if you have tea in the morning, maybe bring your teabag and ask for hot water.
But you're right on the beach looking at the ocean, so a basic breakfast wasn't an issue for me.
There is no cash machine nearby - you have to go to the main harbour in the village. Just plan ahead if you don't want to have to go into town and think you'll need cash (for the sarong and food sellers that walk by).

Great location and the staff were amazing. We all enjoyed the breakfast.

Good beach
Fridge rusty and bathroom a bit dirty. The food is not good. Looks like a tourist trap to me. We were disappointed, for this price, almost 2000 bath for one night, we were expecting higher quality.

Breakfast was included but they transferred us to another resort to have it. Due to this we were a few minutes late and they took away the breakfast while we were getting it. Quality of the breakfast was below average.
The bathroom lacked maintenance. The faucet was loose. The toilet was loose and not fastened properly to the floor.
No shampoo and soap.

- Food was nice, good selection for breakfast
- Location
- Unpleasant smell from the bathroom sink
- TV has connection problem, strange colors, can't choose default language for certain channels
- Asked for double bed but only 2 single beds (luckily can combine them but still a gap between...)
- Water pressure unstable
- Haven't finished cleaning when escorted up even I had been called before to come get the room by the reception (some internal communications problem)
- Room facing the wall & corridor of the hotel's other building

Great breakfast, great location.
One member of the staff ignored us when were indicated that we needed service.

NOTHING
Not worth the money at all. If you’re a foreigner and don’t speak Thai, it’s difficult to communicate with the staff and waitresses of the hotel. We were supposed to stay for a week but have to move to another hotel after 2 days because it was just a bad experience staying in this hotel.
There are way more hotels that is much nicer than this with the amount of money you’re paying.

Nice modern and tidy hotel right on the beach. Everything was just as expected and shown in the pictures. The Deluxe Room on the ground floor is great because you can access the pool and beach easily. Staff at the reception and restaurant were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good with lots of options – even many types of coffee from the big Espresso machine!

Nice cozy room, big windows, balcony with 2 chairs and table. From 3rd floor you get a sea view. Hot if you don't close curtains, but you can leave AC working when you out :)
Quiet, slept very good there.
In general Samed is very nice island close to main land. Recommended!
Every weekend comes too much people, and every hotel is full. This is Samed normal practice. Not a big problem if you plan your time for food/sleep/etc activities need privacy.
