The Breakfast provisions were ample and nice, Very clean had everything you needed , comfy beds, good location and nice views. Host was very easy to communicate with and left very clear instructions
Just that the bathroom is downstairs and through lounge and kitchen

Loved the central location. Walking distance to everything. Beautiful building and amazing, friendly hosts.
Bathroom too far from bedrooms.

Great location, all facilities were great and clean
I think the breakfast could be improved with nicer fresh Juice, Granola, Artesian bread with small jars of jam, honey etc. Tea selection was good and we didn't try the coffee. If this is too difficult or not cost effective best not to provide it as I think it doesn't compliment the standard of accommodation.

Overall the ambience and location of Port MacDonnell and the historical significance of the property.

A great historic building. Very good communications with the hosts.
No electric blankets in an old building in winter. But the wood heater worked very well and warmed the place up quickly.

Poorly maintained, shower dripping constantly, peeling paint, front door won’t open, dirty edges around especially the bathroom, mould, bed uncomfortable,

Breakfast was make your own from ingredients supplied which was fine. At least ground coffee was available. The owner also supplied lactose free milk which is rare and welcomed.
The bed was very comfortable and the shower hot. Our host Emma was very friendly and helpful. Meals at the Pub were much better than the usual pub fare found in country towns.
The bathroom was downstairs while the bedroom was upstairs - not insurmountable, just a bit inconvenient.

We were really happy with all aspects of our stay. Our hosts couldn't have done any more for us, they were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The accommodation was beautiful and very well located. I loved looking out the upstairs window at night, across the water. I could have been anywhere in the world!

The location and the history of Customs House is excellent. The owners have clearly spent a lot of time and money seeking to create a wonderful guest experience, including a wonderfully clean property, good kitchen supplies and comfy beds. The quality furniture, bed linen and cleansiness of the house are stand out features.
I would just suggest some old-fashioned wardrobes, or coat racks/stands (somewhere to hang jackets and clothes) in 2 of the 3 bedrooms. We sort of lived out of our suitcases, which was fine with us. :-)

The stay at Customs House was lovely. A beautiful seaside town that was quiet and welcoming.

Great location in a historically significant building. The bed was king sized and comfortable. We enjoyed the log fire, and the bedroom heater is very effective. We enjoyed a meal at nearby Periwinkles. In addition there are cafes, a hotel, seafood sales, a mini mart, library and museum all within 200 metres. And its near the jetty, fishing wharf and coastal walking paths.
Breakfast provisions were meagre but we were able to supplement them at the close by supermarket. The fridge was not cold! The towels stayed wet in the bathroom all day.
