About this house rental
This property was custom designed for large families on vacation. It features 2 Master King Sized Bedroom Suites with full baths, 4 other bedrooms (2 with twin beds, 1 queen, and 1 double), 2 bunk rooms with a twin and a bunk bed, and 2 1/2 additional bathrooms. This unique property has several living areas: a living room with a flat screen TV along with WiFi High Speed Internet, the Lake Room with plentiful seating and direct views of the lake, a downstairs "kids" Rec Room with a wall mounted flat screen TV, plus 2 large dining tables, a breakfast bar, and a huge kitchen that can accommodate several cooks and a long counter for buffet meals. The kitchen even has 2 dishwashers! A brand new dual zone central Air Conditioning system... and if the weather cooperates, you can open the entire rear of the house with floor to ceiling screened windows. The great advantage of this house is that you don't have to hide in a bedroom to get some quiet or read a book... lots of space, lots of separate areas, yet open to accommodate numerous kids and adults. The house has a full laundry room with an oversize washer and dryer. We installed a special high recovery water heater and even with a full house, no one is likely to get a cold shower. Last but not least, unlike most "beach houses", no one sleeps on a pull out couch or in a living room. All 18 members of the family have beds in bedrooms.
Of course, we've buried the lead... this house is LAKE FRONT! Some years back we got permission to build two jetties and a semi-circular bulkhead with a wide concrete deck. It's 100' long! What this means for you is that when the lake has high water levels, we still have easy access to the water, even some beach most of the summer. You can place your chair in the water, on the beach, or on the concrete deck and everyone is still involved in the fun. Great for swimming, launching small boats, or water toys. You access the beach by either a stairway or a grassy ramp all the way to the bulkhead. In addition there is a nice backyard overlooking the lake with a patio, Fire Pit, table and a gas grill plus a generous side and front yard for kids games. We are located on the highly desirable Shore Drive for shaded bike rides or walks along the lake.
Minutes from shopping, wineries, golf courses, 2 fabulous municipal beaches, numerous restaurants, and 8 miles (15 minutes by car/one hour bike ride) from the famous, or infamous, Geneva-on-the-Lake with its arcades, restaurants, bars, music, and recreation areas. Don't miss Eddies Grill or, since 1938, Madsen's Donuts! A supersized Walmart is less than 2 miles away, just across from our favorite Mary's Diner (love their breakfast). Of course if wine, beer, or spirits are your passion, there are 28 wineries, breweries, and distilleries within 10-25 minutes from the house.

House met our needs perfectly. There were enough bedrooms for everyone and the kitchen was well supplied. Having a washer, dryer and two refrigerators and two dishwashers was great. The lakefront was nice but if steps from the sea wall down to water could somehow be added rather than a stepladder it would be even better. At 81, a ladder was not the safest option for me. I have not used vrbo often so not well versed on customary rules, but felt having to leave dishwasher empty (rather than running it with last minute items) and being asked to wipe out refrigerators and sweep carpet was asking a little much. The grill and table and chairs outside was nice and side yard made it possible for games. All in all it was a lovely place to stay and would recommend it to anyone who wanted to visit that area.

The owner was quick to respond to a problem we had when checking in to the house. He sent over a neighbor and she was quite helpful. We had a wonderful time and the house had everything that we needed.

This was our first family vacation in years. Communication was great. Check in and check out was easy. The property manager Tammy was a pleasure. We had one minor issue and it could not have been addressed any faster. Bob, answered all my questions and was very accommodating. A real pleasure to work with. We would definitely book/stay again. We had everything we needed. This was our fourth trip to the area and the first time we were able to get Madsen’s donuts. 😂. Lake Erie is beautiful. House was perfect.
Thanks again for everything.

We had a great time with 10 ladies staying together for a long weekend. Great house with lots of space for people to not feel on top of each other and plenty of bedrooms for the group. Kitchen easy to cook and eat meals in, wasn’t anything missing that we needed. Would plan on coming back to have a repeat visit!

We have been doing a family vacation (three generations) for decades and have finally found a place where no one needs to sleep on a couch or air mattress. There are plenty of bedrooms (and bathrooms – that’s important!). Also, the kitchen is well-equipped for your cooking needs, with ample storage for your groceries, and having two dishwashers is definitely a plus. A clean, comfortable place to hang out with family and friends, with a beautiful view of the lake.

I highly recommend this property. Large roomy house with a great location

We found this home to be as advertised—spacious, clean & well stocked with items to make our stay enjoyable. The owner answered all questions in a timely manner and the Property Manager was great-- very helpful & friendly. We really enjoyed the beautiful lake view and sunsets, nearby beaches, wineries and restaurants! A great place for a family vacation. With that said, I’d like to make a few suggestions for updates to accommodate Senior group such as ours. Grab bars in the bathrooms, railing for the stairway leading to the basement from the kitchen and an improvement to entryway into the house—that step up from the sidewalk is brutal and is definitely not easily handicap accessible. Overall we had a wonderful time—thanks for sharing your home with us!

6 corporate executives met and stayed. The property is clean, very nicely appointed, very comfortable, and has a beautiful lakefront view. The property manager was very attentive and helpful. I highly recommend this property.

The house was beautiful but the neighbors were very loud late into the night.

This property is a lovely and spacious home right on the lake. It is a perfect venue for our annual MOMS IN PRAYER 2 night - 3 day retreat. The host and the caretaker are wonderful gracious people to work with. The house is super clean and well maintained with LOTS of amenities. The house sleeps eighteen. We had only 12 women attend this year. I would say if your group were all adults, as ours was, you might want to bring an extra coffee pot. We look forward to coming again to this venue. It is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!

Enjoyed spending time with family at the lake. Lots of laughs playing games and just spending time together. Would love to stay again. Great space!

This home was great. Most of us have been traveling together for 50 years. The kitchen, living area and bedrooms were just right for all of us. The property manager, Tammy, couldn't have been any nicer.
Our weather wasn't the best, lots of rain, including a tornado warning. Neighbor informed us that the weather was quite unusual for August. We made the best of it and visited 16 wineries, 11 covered bridges, Amish in Middlefield, Servants of Mary Center of Peace Statue in Windsor, D-Day reinactment in Conneaut, Ashtabula, and Geneva-on-the-Lake. We managed to see two beautiful sunsets on the lake. My only complaint was the sea oats blocked our view of the beautiful lake while sitting on the patio. Thanks for sharing your home with us Bob and Beth.

Our family of 14 including our 96 year old mother/grandmother/great-grandmother enjoyed a beautiful week along the sleepy shores of Lake Erie over the Fourth of July. The house was very comfortable, clean and accommodated us all. The lakefront location was excellent and the private beach was well used during our week long stay. We will definitely consider a reservation here again at a future date. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us all.

We were so excited about the family reunion. The house was just what we needed. The check in process was unsatisfactory. We could not get the code on time and the nice woman that met us was a neighbor who admits never checked in guests. She was there 5 mins, we did a quick tour and she said is everything ok? In 5 minutes i did not know anything about the house and told her that. The AWFUL part was the checking out. Tammy the property manager arrived 35 mins before check out and said the home was not clean enough. I told her we were still cleaning with four adults doing the final large projects. At 11 everyone was out of the house with small children in yard and adults packing cars. My niece and I stayed behind waiting for tammy who lived across the street to come back so we could do a final walk through with her and get her specifics on what she sees as issues. Tammy returned at 11:11 and told us we would be charged an additional 100 for not being out at 11. We explained that we were waiting to do a final walk through and she said if we were not out by 11:15 she would charge an additional 100. We explained we wanted to know what she deemed as dirty in the house. She would not tell us and just kept saying this is unacceptable. She would not tell us specifics except pillows, magazines and chair out of place and said she was also pulling our security deposit. Plus her husband was seen behind bushes photographing our small kids often. Owners helped later- but stay away!

Great location and neighborhood. A nice little beach for our grandchildren to play on. Close to attractions.

Lots of room for our group! Loved being on the lake! The property manager and neighbors were very nice as well.

The house was not the cleanest… some rooms had garbage from previous stays in them. The beds we not made yet which made it feel not very welcoming. Each bed was provided with sheets and one fleece blanket. Other blankets were not provided. The neighborhood was rather run down and we didn’t have the best experience with loud neighbors. Even though the house was lakefront, there was a 4-5 foot drop from the cement walkway down to the beach. We were planning on using kayaks but had no place to launch them. The house manager lived right by the house and would say hello when she passed. When we were playing yard games next to the house, all of the neighbors seemed to be watching us. It was very uncomfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked, which was great! The spare fridge and extra dishwasher was very helpful! Overall, we had a nice stay, but it certainly has room for improvement.

Beautiful and spacious home right on the lake. Especially love that we could all sit down at one table and eat meals or play games together! Looking forward to coming back, we liked it that much!!

This home is amazing. Right on Lake Erie. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood. Check in was very easy and the propriety manager was very accommodating with the check in process as we were staying at this house for our wedding weekend. I would highly recommend staying at this home if you’re looking for a vacation spot to relax!

Generally all was good. The 2cd floor bedrooms were not inviting. No decorations at all. No bedspreads which could have helped with cold nights, as opposed to owners request that we bring extra blankets. Temperature control on that floor was difficult.

It was our first trip to this area, and everyone in our group enjoyed
the house & property. The house has a wonderful layout for a large
group and everything you need definitely recommend! Thanks
for sharing you home with us.

The house and property couldn’t have been more perfect for our birthday celebrations and family reunion. It is represented perfectly and the weather was God sent! The tornado siren on Sunday night was a surprise. I thinks it’s unusual in that area, but we had all grown up with that possibility. No problem. Went downstairs and watched the news.
Everythin worked perfectly. Having rented many VRBO’s, it’s not always the case! Everything here was as advertised for sure! Premier VRBO

The property was exactly as listed. Located in a quiet neighborhood with shopping and a park close by. The lake access was amazing. Perfect for swimming and kayaking. We can't wait to return next year

We wanted a home large enough for our entire family to be comfortable and a private beach. This house had it all! Everything was as shown and amazing.

It worked out fine for us.

This property has a beautiful view! The lake and walk down area were fantastic. It is about 15 min from the beach access and 20 min from the town. The neighborhood was quaint and safe but certainly not in the touristy area. The house itself was nice but could’ve used a better deep clean. The Downstairs rooms that sleep 3 were very small. Yes, slept 3 but not even room for a dresser added. My kids loved our trip and were sad to leave! Great family space together in the sun room and fire pit!

This was a wonderful weekend getaway for us. The home easily accommodated the 12 of us who attended. The home was exceptionally well equipped, clean and comfortable. The home manager, Tammy, was very helpful, pleasant and responsive to the few minor glitches that came up (we were the first renters of the season). Would I book this home again in the future? Absolutely!

We had an amazing weekend!!! The house is immaculate. Everything felt new and super clean. Although we didn't get to enjoy the outside too much because of the cold weather...the view was enough! The pictures are very accurate. The hosts are super nice and very responsive. My friends and I talked about booking this property again for a planned girls trip one day! Thank you so much for everything!

Perfect spot
As 3 did not come because of Covid concerns it worked out perfectly for us all to have bedrooms upstairs. I do wish I had realized the bottom floor bedrooms had no windows.

The property is great! Beautiful views and access to the wall by the water was pretty easy. Stairs, but well-built with hand railings. Lots of tall vegetation restricted the view of the water from the patio, but I'm assuming that is to help with erosion. The many sitting areas on the main floor were amazing. Watching a storm with driving rain and wind and waves from the house was really fun with so many windows. If you want to sit outside and your party is larger than four, throw some chairs in your car. The owner's taste in books was identical to ours. 👍😉
