The pictures, and description does not do justice to this place. The Hotel is right on the beach, has a great restaurant on site, the beach is large, and you can have your own quite space, there is also a beach club next door, and it also has a less formal beach bar type of place serving bits and drinks. Rooms are really big, and very well situated. Even the most basic rooms have sea view from the balcony. We will high recommend this place and this part of Sardinia - the town itself is exactly 900 meters away, with amazing restaurants, and bars, and all other options. Some reviews say that place is noisy - its not true, and we stayed there in the peak season over August bank holiday.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the charming and wonderful Hotel L’Esagono in San Teodoro, Sardinia, and I cannot recommend it enough. From the moment I stepped into the hotel, I was greeted with warm smiles and a friendly atmosphere. The staff were incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable.
The hotel itself is beautifully designed, exuding a rustic yet elegant charm. The rooms were spacious, impeccably clean, and tastefully decorated, providing a cozy and inviting ambiance. The highlight, however, was the breathtaking view of the crystal-clear turquoise waters right from my balcony. Waking up to such a stunning sight was a true treat.
One of the standout features of Hotel L’Esagono is its prime location. Situated just a stone's throw away from the beach, it offers easy access to the pristine sandy shores and the mesmerizing Mediterranean Sea. Whether you're looking to relax on the beach, indulge in water sports, or explore the nearby town of San Teodoro, this hotel is the perfect base. The hotel also boasts an excellent restaurant, serving delicious local cuisine, and a lovely pool area, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploration.
Overall, my stay at Hotel L’Esagono was nothing short of exceptional. The combination of friendly staff, beautiful surroundings, and top-notch amenities made for an unforgettable experience. If you're planning a trip to San Teodoro, Sardinia, I highly recommend booking a stay at this delightful hotel. You won't be disappointed!

Not a single bad point.

Don’t have breakfast after 9, refills are getting less and less.

I did like very much the beach 🏖️ and the beautiful vew of tavolara, the swimming pol, restaurant and Bar
The toile is to old needs to renovating, and they didn’t clean the room every day. Is missing the sign for the door 🚪 not to disturb and please clean my room.

There is a breathtaking restaurant view and excellent food. The staff are very friendly and helpful. spa and wellness centre and bicycles available all very welcome.
The swimming pool too small needs renovation. in high season (but not during our visit) there is a noisy open air disco nearby.

location and facilities were really good .
staff were helpful friendly and accessible
rooms were spacious and very clean
complex right next to the beach
no drink making facility in your room
swimming pool was extremely cold therefore not great for our 3 year old - actually not for me either !

Great location!
unfriendly stuff in the restaurant. older, bold guy was quite rude, during breakfast was talking Italians to me all the time, he could not understand that I am not italian and I don’t understand.

Hotel set in beautiful gardens and right next to the beach. Breakfast was sufficient for our needs, with plenty of choices.
When booking the hotel, although it was near the end of the season, we didn't realise there would be no public transport or taxis to take us to to the nearest town. Although only a 15 minute walk for most people, to get to the town, you have to walk up a long hill and then down the other side. As I have a lung condition, it took me 40 minutes as I had to keep stopping. Therefore, I only left the hotel twice

The setting and grounds of the hotel are lovely, and it was perfectly situated on the beach. The staff were absolutely great and always willing to help. The breakfast was lovely, however it was the same every morning.
Our room was quite a distance from the main section of the hotel which had its pros and cons. It meant it was lovely and quiet in the evening, but around 500m each way to get to and from breakfast and the amenities.

location
outside space was limited due to being on a hill and there were no BBQ self catering facilities
3.5
the location close to the beach
not very comfortable no comfortable areas to relax- reception not visible and hard to locate

nice interier, furniture etc..
I chose this accommodation to be staying in the resort as in the pictures near the pool, close to the beach etc… Unfortunately we ended up outside the resort, by the noisy dangerous supply road and far away, so then it is like a normal accommodation anywhere else. Nothing you would expect with kids, unfortunately a big disappointment. Breakfast very poor.

Everything was fabulous.

The room was clean and spacious.
The pool over looked the beach and the beach was
easily accessible. Plenty of options of hot, cold, sweet
and savoury foods for breakfast, and even had a bar
over looking the beach and sea.
The information/activity worker Clara was great. She
helped us arrange horse riding near by, as well as
helping us look into options for snorkelling. She was
always willing to help and done everything she could
to make sure we were given all information for any
activity we were interested in.

loved the bar area overlooking the sea and the beach side location with a short walk into town for the evening - fab ! the pool was lovely too 😃

The triple superior room was very comfortable and beautiful! The garden is well looked after and just marvelous.
The restaurants menu was a little too fancy and not really suited for a family meal.

Great location - next to beach, swimming pool, hotel restaurant and bar. Food was very good. Also close by was the town of San Teodoro with lots of very good restaurants, shops and market stalls. Found a really good gym 5 mins drive away. Plenty of sandy beaches nearby.
The bed / mattress was not that comfortable. Mosquitos in the room was a problem, with all of us bitten several times over night. Breakfast was so so - scrambled, eggs, bacon, fruit, coffee, cakes. Could have done with a few more healthy options. One thing missing was a nice air conditioned gym. Beach was sandy but entry into the ocean was stoney ... beach shoes solved that problem.
3.5
the location with its own beach and pool, the restaurant were u can order à la carte, the excursion they offer for 70€ to go to beautiful beaches and the islands
the wifi was horrible- it keeps dropping out and u need to log in all the time ( in case u need to work- no chance!), the walls are really really thing- we heard things we didnt want to hear from our neighbors (even just normal conversations)- close by is a club, u hear the music until late in the evening, the room was really small and very dark (the bathroom was tiny too)

A fabulous low level resort with tropical gardens, rooms with private patio and a Caribbean feel. Although it has a lovely pool we didn't use it, as the adjoining beach was absolutely idyllic - warm, clear water and white sandy beach - there was however some seaweed washed in, but this seemed to be cleared on a regular basis and was no problem. The beach has around a dozen umbrellas with double loungers to rent (you can charge to room) with friendly helpful lifeguards on site. There are lovely rocky areas and shady trees too.
The on-site restaurant was absolutely excellent, also the adjoining bar, with superb staff. A buffet breakfast with abundant choices is fantastic with the opportunity to sit on the beachside terrace.
San Teodoro is just a 10-15 minute leisurely stroll with a variety of restaurants and shops to browse.
We were originally given room 6, a roadside room with the large noisy air con unit outside. We slept here the first night and would probably not have objected as our stay was only 2 nights (however our rating would have been lower) but the floor was quite wet, even the next morning, which turned out to be an air con problem, so we were transferred to a much nicer room ( 42, not an upgrade). I suspect shorter stays are put in these less appealing rooms. If we were not relocated my rating would have been lower - avoid rooms 5-7.

Amazing staff very helpful and great waiting staff in the amazing restaurant ! Loved the lifeguards guys very helpful 😊
Could hear my neighbours bathroom routine

The location was great with lovely beach front.
It is only 10-15 minute walk in to the centre but please note this is via a very steep hill, which could be problematic for some people. It is a tough old trek when the weather is very hot. We did take a taxi in one day which took less than 2 minutes but all taxi's charge 20 euros for the pleasure, which is madness.
The pool was a great size with great sunbeds and entrance on to the beach. Umbrellas and sun beds on the beach are 20 euros per day but free around the pool.
The hotel restaurant is fantastic, however very limited menu and mainly focuses on fish dishes as do most restaurants in San Teodoro.
The hotel bar was nice overlooking the beach and a couple of members of staff were amazing and friendly but overall I found the staff pretty unfriendly in here and ignored you, which would be the main reason I would not visit here again.
They have a spa and whirlpool there, however although I had a message to say we can use the whirlpool for free, it was not open and neither was the spa for the 12 days we were there.
The rooms are nice with a great balcony area. But please check your booking as when I got there they said I had a standard room booked and I said no I have a superior room booked and they said oh we will upgrade you for free. When checking my booking whilst in the room, I did have the superior triple room not standard booked. It was all good as that was the room they gave us anyway but worth checking to ensure you get the room you booked.
The hotel would 100% benefit in a shuttle service.
Cinta beach is worth visiting and is walkable but extremely busy.
We did the boat trip that the hotel offered which was fantastic but please note this is a rib and not a big boat you would usually expect on a holiday boat trip tour. However great great fun.
Some bar staff were rude and ignored and never acknowledged you when you arrive. This was a big put off for us and became frustrating.
Cleaning of the rooms was ok but we often found the floor was still covered in bits and not swept/mopped properly.
Location became a bit annoying having to face the steep hill day and night when going in to the town and the hotel would definitely benefit in offering a shuttle service a few times in the day and couple at night.

Location literally at the beach. Has also outdoor pool, private parking and great breakfasts.
Depending on the season, beach might be covered with algae but you still get the seaside view from the restaurant or can enjoy the sunrise :)

Excellent location, very nice accommodation and friendly staff
There was a kettle in the room but no cups or tea bags. The reception promised to supply but nothing happened during our two-day stay. However, the overall experience is very good!
4.5
Clean rooms with terrace looking out on beautiful gardens. Quiet area and very friendly staff. As a female solo traveller I felt very safe. Beach and pool are lovely. The restaurant has a variety of local dishes a la carte. The breakfast was included with great oceanview. The spa has plenty of treatments, but the footreflexology from Magda I can highly recommend. All in all a great place to visit in October.
