The room was excellent and very comfortable for a family of 4. Beautiful views of the garden and ocean.
The location was slightly far away from some of the more sandy beaches which the children liked but if I had done my research better I would have been more aware of this. However if offered a very peaceful setting away from crowds and was a great place to slow down.

Nestled in the heart of Bali, Meditasi Bungalows and Villas exceeded all expectations for a perfect tropical getaway. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with genuine warmth and hospitality. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, owner proposed for us a transfer from airport to hotel, which was really helpful.
Our room was nothing short of spectacular, offering breathtaking views of sea. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep after adventurous days exploring the island. We were sleeping with a sounds of sea. Wild black sand beach near by hotel was almost private) no tourists at all during our stay on it.
The hotel's restaurants served dishes that celebrated local flavors, we were enjoying breakfast overlooking the sea view.
What truly set Meditasi apart was its exceptional staff. Owner personally went above and beyond to ensure our stay was memorable, offering personalized recommendations for activities and excursions around Bali. His genuine warmth and professionalism made us feel welcome and valued throughout our entire stay.
Overall, Meditasi provided an unforgettable experience that encapsulates the essence of Bali: beauty, tranquility, and unparalleled hospitality. Whether you're seeking a romantic retreat this hotel offers everything you need for a perfect stay in Bali paradise.

If you are wanting to get away from all the busyness and rushing of Amed, this is the place to go. It is far from the action, which I enjoyed, but unfortunately by daughter didn't. It was too quiet for her. Great comfortable beds. We stayed in the bamboo family rm with sea view, which had an amazing outlook, 2 big beds and a bed on the deck which was fantastic. Stunning outdoor bathroom. You definitely need to hire a scooter if you don't want to just hang out there all day. Fishing boats go out around 3-4am and return under full sail after sunrise. We could use the yoga room which was a bonus. It was very quiet. Staff were really lovely and friendly. They go out of their way to help.
I had stayed here before and loved it. This time it was super quiet. Not quite what we needed for this trip. The meals were less impressive this time. We definitely needed a scooter to be able to do more. We chose to cut our week short a couple of days to try alternatives. With more people staying, it would change the atmosphere completely. Possibly the price for the superior room might be putting people off. I missed the cooks from my last visit. I wish them well.
The beach is a little tricky when the waves are up.

It was so perfect on the beach. The view was superb. The staff couldn't do enough for you
No meat on the menu, only fish and chicken

Super quiet location, right on the beach, authentic local cuisine and friendly staff. When I wasn't happy with my initial room (the only one without an ocean view), was able to be heard and find a compromise with Wayan, and eventually moved to a beach front one that i loved. He even added some complimentary snorkel gear and medicinal teas as a show of goodwill.
My initial room was a little sad, view facing a concrete wall instead of the ocean. All the others are great though.

The room was a very good size and had a balcony with a private garden overlooking the sea which was very relaxing. We slept with the balcony door opened most nights which was amazing.
This is not about the property itself. Just a note that the beach isnt the white sandy beaches we usually associate with Bali.

friendly staff and good food

Our room and balcony was very large and upstairs for a terrific view. We absolutely loved
seeing the fisherman go
out and come back in their
boats even if they woke us up at 4am.
Restaurant for
dinner was disappointing. Ordered Mahi Mahi cooked on the grill. It was a tiny portion and fried.
However, had delicious banana pancake for
breakfast with coconut.

Everything was great in the resort. The owner and the staff really helpful and nice. They organise fishing trips for us, diving trips, taxis, motorbike. All was really well. The location and the room was extraordinary. The back of the room looking the mountains, and the front looking the Ocean. The balcony was 10 metres front of the beach. We could see all the local outriggers going to fish every morning. It was a real local experience, the rural Bali that we really were interested in our trip.

Its a beautiful place but just for 1 or 2 nights. Its not close to many things.

sorry, wasn’t for us. I’m sure the more expensive room was nice.
the budget room is literally bamboo walls and a hut roof. no way to keep bugs and spiders out & the mosquito net had big gaps. fan didn’t work either. refunded our other night and left closer to town

Among other things, I was happy to be in a place where Elisabeth Gilbert had been and that she had appreciated. Her comments apply to my experience as well.
the dogs barking outside the villa

The best place to meditate and live in peace, the mountains behind you and the sea directly in front of you. The breakfast is very delicious and the staff is cooperative. thanks Mr. Wayan for hospitality

4.5
it was a mixed bag, the room was beautiful with views to Lombok and the Gilis, and on the other side the hills. Loved the outside shower.
Also watching the fisherman come and go from the enormous balcony, Very private and secure. The staff, particularly Made, were delightful. Overall a very relaxing place to stay. Snorkelling off the stony beach. definitely go for the upstairs rooms for the view
Fairly isolated in the small village of Aas. The food we had was not the best we have had in Bali, and we were disappointed.
you are in the middle of a village, which can be noisy at times. it was a pain that they didnt take credit card for anything, which was inconvenient especial in Amed generally there are few ATMs. Although the room was lovely everything else was nothing special and not worth the higher price.

Absolutely fantastic location. Loved watching the fisherman and their boats.

the location is far from the center of Amed. we was the only couple there for 3 days. it’s really nice and quite but you have to know it’s secluded

An absolutely unbeatable location, the balcony view room is no more than 8m from the waters edge with only the garden below and the black stone beach between you. Absolutely gorgeous. The sound of the waves on the stones was the best rest and sleep album you could ask for. The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating, with no query too much or too difficult. The food was incredible and the facilities top notch. Did I mention you have uninterrupted views of the mountains behind also? Breathtaking.
Nothing to say here.

This is the most beautiful getaway outside of Amed main area. Beach and quiet, local families and beautiful mountain views. Snorkelling is incredible. The staff are helpful and kind, doing everything to make your stay perfect. The food in the restaurant offers traditional Balinese meals which you cannot get in other Indonesian places. I will definitely come back! They organised mortobike rides for me every day to see black sand beaches, swim w turtles, explore small villages. It was wonderful.

I stayed at Meditasi bungalows before and I will definable come again!
The place has a special way of making you feel at home, like you belong. The peace you feel when you step into this beautiful place is hard to describe in words.
The owner and the staff of meditasi bungalows is amazing. I don’t think I have ever met people this kind and smiling, always willing to help you if you have a question.
I loved the traditional Bamboo bungalows but after traveling a lot I wanted more luxury so upon arrival I was able to upgrade my booking the the deluxe suit with sea view. Directly at the sand beach. I love to be close to the sea, so calming to hear the ocean all the time and to fall asleep to.
On the property they have a restaurant as well, smiling Buddha, and it is amazing. The food is all organic and they have mostly vegan and healthy options. The dishes have a lot of taste to it, I loved every single meal.
The surrounding is breathtaking as well and If you want to experience the feeling of contentment, joy and peace, I recommend to book your room soon!
