Great basis to explore the nature in the North of Chile

The personal was great and super helpful. It was clear they have a lot of experience in travelling and expertise about making tours in the mountains (they offer tours as well!). The location was great. The city of Putre gave us a good impression of the countryside. For fellow travellers: you should expect to organize and prepare yourself if you come to this region. But if you are up with simple living and enjoy this way of travelling - Putre, and specifically Las Vicuñas is a great place to visit.

the facility exceeded my expectations, nice, helpful and very clean

very nice and helpful owners, taking the initiative on what and how to visit and see an additional advantage is the possibility of refueling the car on site, as there is no gas station even in the further vicinity

Really nice owners and comfy room

Very friendly owners! Plus they have two cute dogs. Nice room with a lot of space and comfy beds. Clean in general.

Shabby but good base for Lauca national park, with a very helpful owner.

The hotel was well placed for access to the Lauca national park. The owner speaks excellent English and was very helpful in dealing with Europcar when we damaged our hire car. (n.b. Altitude sickness can seriously impair your driving ability, as we found to our cost. If we went there again we'd book an organised tour instead). The owner's husband took us on a good day tour to the north when our car was out of action.

The hotel is elderly (it was originally built to house mine workers) and needs renovating, particularly the bathrooms.

Perfect to stay a night to let the body get used to higher altitudes

Very helpful friendly staff, ideal and highly recommended location (is 3600 m elevation) to get used to higher altitudes in Lauca National Park (4900 m Hwy 11 at Bolivian Border). Town of Putre is nice pictures.

Very pleasant.

Staff were friendly and the hotel had a lovely garden.

We missed a paid for breakfast one morning as the main building was locked and in darkness and no-one around. We had to go without.

Great value for money

Fantastic WiFi. Great location. Fantastic staff - we arrived close to midnight and somebody came from the village to show us to our room. Good food. Heater in the room! Hot water a plenty.
