Staff was exceptional. The gentleman running the desk was very responsive and helpful. Hotel is cute and clean, with a great location. The business centre and breakfast area were great spots for our family to hang out after long days of touring around.

Had to ask for toilet paper. Only one bath towel.
4.1
Breakfast was basic but ok, staff was friendly, beds were comfortable. Nice playroom
We had to ring the bell every time coming in and wait for someone to open out in the rain. Room was very small. WiFi barely worked on top floor

The staff were helpful. The hotel was quiet.
We would like to have received a small map of the area.

Ernesto, Vanessa and Roberto went above and beyond to assist us with anything we asked for, despite not being able to speak proper Spanish to them, including help with wifi, the tv, the water pressure in the shower, breakfast, late check out, etc. In addition, we were able to secure a private driver for tours to Otavalo and Mindo with Gustavo, who picked us up from the airport (hotel transportation). He was a great asset and our day trips with him were very comfortable and easy.
So the only thing we could think of that was unexpected was the lack of water pressure in the shower but I don't know if that was an isolated thing or one that the entire Centro Historico has to deal with. Ernesto was able to get it working a little better but I don't think there was much he could do and it certainly did not damper our trip.

central location, clean hotel, good Wi-Fi connection...but that is all that can be called good
- none of the staff speak English
- poor breakfast, just a rationing system. Scrambled or boiled eggs, some fruit on a large plate, two toasts, some butter, two slices of cheese and half a slice of ham (really half a slice), bad coffee (in Ecuador!).
- The hotel has two entrance doors, but guests only have a key to one of them. The second door is closed from 10:00 p.m. until the morning, and if the guest wants to come or go during this time, he/she must ring the bell. But there is no guarantee that someone will come to open it. We had ordered a taxi to the airport for 4:00 in the morning, deliberately through the receptionist, to be sure that he would open for us. But the receptionist fell asleep, we rang the bell intensively for several minutes to wake him up. He arrived late and we were very worried if we would catch the plane.
- we had planned two more stays at this hotel, but after this experience we canceled both reservations and chose another hotel.

Bed was very comfortable, room was clean, premises was in a fantastic location, and the hotel itself had a lot of charm. Breakfast was also good.
Wish my room had a window that was near eye-level, only a skylight existed. Maybe this was in the reservation when I booked, and I just didnt notice.

The staff are super nice. Breakfast is exceptional. It is the quaintest hotel I have ever stayed in. Highly recommended
They lock their gate at 7pm. If you come back after, you have to ring in. They promptly open the gate

Nice quiet room with mountain view. Just 2 blocks to the grand square.
No elevator, need to carry the luggage to the 3rd floor under the altitude of 2800m. So short of breath.
The location is downtown but may not be a safe area. Need the key to open the hotel gate everytime to go in and out. The problem was only one key was available. So when my friend and I did separate things during the day, always need to make sure the person with key is around when another is back. And need to get down three levels to open the gate.

Charming hotel in the historic Center of Quito, comfortable beds, nice breakfast, very secure. The person in charge was extremely nice and helpful - they even kept for us for a week something we had forgotten in the bedroom - many thanks, we loved our stay!

All was great, the location, cleanliness, decoration, facility, breakfest, and staff. The Hotel arranges interesting private tours (I recommend Ximena as a fantastic tour guide, she speaks English very well and have great knowledge).
All was fine.

Perfect location just a few minutes from the historic central plaza by foot. The hotel is gorgeous inside and the staff was very helpful - note that no one during our stay spoke English so brush up on your Spanish or download a translator app ahead of time. Staff even prepared us a breakfast to go the morning we checked out because we had to take a taxi to the airport before breakfast hours started.
My only real complaint was that our room had a skylight that wasn't covered so it was bright as day in the room as soon as the sun rose so we didn't get to sleep in much.
