Tolle Atmosphäre in einem charaktervollen Herrenhaus!

Ein sehr liebevoll renoviertes (original Fenster und Stuck an der Decke) alles Gutshaus mit einem frischen Virvre. Die Zimmer sind gut klimatisiert. Man hat die Wahl zwischen der breiten Zugangstreppe und dem modernen Fahrstuhl. Die Eingangstür öffnet sich mit Näherungsschalter automatisch!

Die Lichtsituation im Zimmer war funktional. Etwas wärmeres Licht am Nachttisch wäre noch optimaler.

Entschleunigung!

Wir waren zum zweiten Mal über Weihnachten in diesem wunderschönen Hotel. Es hatte bei unserer Ankunft noch geschneit, ein atemberaubendes Gefühl wie im Märchen, verstärkt noch durch die brillante Weihnachtsdekoration! Freundliche Mitarbeiter, leckeres, abwechslungsreiches Frühstück, mit allem, was das Herz begehrt! Empfehlenswert auch ein Besuch im hauseigenen Restaurant!!! Auch unser Hund war herzlich willkommen! Hoteleigene Parkplätze stehen kostenlos zur Verfügung! Wir haben uns rundherum wohl gefühlt und kommen auf jeden Fall wieder :-)))

Very pleasant, well appointed Schloss.

Breakfast was poor. Food was not available on the evening pf our stay. The only option was a two mile walk each way to a restaurant.

Wonderful. I would have liked to stay longer.

Beautiful grounds. I loved the gardens, the forest, and the creek. Very peaceful. Also beautiful views from our room which had two window.

A perfect relaxing stay - will return!

It was a dream come true! Modern rooms, super comfortable, dreamy showers and super quiet surroundings. Everything is so beautiful in this hotel, it's worth every penny spent there. The staff is also very friendly and accommodating.

The check-out is too early, 10:30am. Breakfast is over too early as well, so we did not try it. Otherwise, it was amazing!

Its nice to come back to your little castle in the evening and enjoy the silence.

Very friendly staff, superb location, quite and comfy, good kitchen, excellent value for money

its just little things which keep this place from being 100%. (e.g a real pepper mill for the Pasta Dish, crusty breadloafs for breakfeast,...)

Nice place to stay unless the majority of the hotel is booked for a wedding party

We discovered this hotel at the beginning of the year because we frequently pass this area when driving back home after visiting our family abroad as the distance for a one day drive is too long. It is a lovely and well maintained little hotel with character, from location over to accommodation over to staff/service. We also really liked the food for breakfast.

Our first stay at the beginning of the year was great, which is why we returned again to make a stopover along our roadtrip home. Little did we know that there was a wedding party happening over the weekend. Which in theory is fine but not if you give non-guests of the party the room above where the wedding party will celebrate the whole night until 3am. After driving hundreds of kilometers on that day and having hundreds of kilometers more ahead of us the next day, this did not go down well for us. We didn’t sleep at all because this is an old building (castle) and noise travels easily through the wall. Trying to reach the reception via call at around midnight several times, the phone was picked up and hang up directly which we found extremely rude. All in all our second stay was a big no go and not a great way to end our holidays. If we would have had a room at the other end of the wing of the hotel (not above the winter garden) it would have been perfectly fine but not if you get the room where you hear and can sing along to every song that is playing downstairs, literally feeling like you are at the party. Not sure what the hotel was thinking by allocating the rooms (as it appears weddings guests where staying in the rooms away from the party - how convenient) but this was really not acceptable and unfortunately we will think twice now if we will come back again. Definitely not if the majority of the 14 hotel rooms is booked by a wedding party. Which leads to another question of why a hotel that small is / should not be booked exclusively when celebrating a wedding there over the weekend…
