Everything was great at this unique property! Karen was an exceptional host who helped me with top wineries to visit and supplied GF bread and lactose-free for breakfast which was so thoughtful! Highly recommend this Church!
Nothing—all good! 😊

It was a brilliant place to stay for a short weekend getaway . Such a treat to stay somewhere with a little bit of charm and history . The fire was the highlight being all cozy and warm , relaxed and content . Sometimes just what you need to unwind. Would stay again .

Every thing was on hand. A home away from home.
I didn't like all the display bottles. It made the large space feel a little closed in.
Just a personal preference.

The eggs, bacon, cereal, fruit, etc, were a lovely extra touch and the place is full of character in a lovely setting. Highly recommended.
The place is amazing and great in every way so nothing to dislike about it. A Nespresso coffee machine or coffee plunger however would make it perfect, at least for us coffee drinkers LOL :-)

Great service and attention to detail from the owner. Gave us a tour of the property and provided lots of little conveniences. Historical church building with modern appliances and updated bathrooms, showers clean and new, excellent location, beautiful gardens, close to BWS and Coles. Thank you!

This beautiful home was perfect for our stay in the Barossa. We used it as a base to do day trips to various towns and areas in The Barossa Valley and it was also close to local shops and great places to eat. The Church was fully equipped with everything we needed and has such a unique and wonderful decor. The stain glass windows are stunning. The gardens are immaculate and there is plenty of space inside and out to enjoy and relax. It was lovely to return to this immaculate property each day after sightseeing. Would definitely recommend!

The accommodation was perfect for our needs. The host was most friendly and made the stay very enjoyable with the added extras with ample firewood, breakfast, linen and other little bits and pieces. Thank you!
Personal photos were a little distracting at times as we felt we were intruding someone's personal space, otherwise a very pleasant experience indeed.

The Church is beautifully presented on the Bookings.com website, and it didn't disappoint in person. The efforts Karen has gone to in presenting this property is a credit to her, both inside and out. The breakfast items were very much appreciated.

Absolutely nothing to ‘not like’ in this place

This property is very unique. The building is an old converted church with all the modern appliances. There is a lovely wood fire in the living area. This property has a well equiped kitchen for cooking. A beautiful garden at the back of the property. A well maintained building and you can tell the church is a very much loved property. That the owner is very proud of. The property is closed to the township of Gawler. The church is full of charm and character and you will really enjoy staying in the church.
Just be aware that the property is on a busy road and the turn off is just before a round about. The entry to the parking area is tight. There is no dryer. But this does not distract from the charm of staying in this lovely building.

Everything was fantastic. Karen was a great host. Excellent location still close to the suburbs but also surrounded by lovely country towns. So much to do and see within 20 minutes of The Church in any direction. It's a beautiful building with a lot of history. Very peaceful and relaxing. The fireplace kept us warm through the night. It had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Absolutely loved our time there and are already looking to go back again in the near future.
