Stunning chateau, beautiful rooms and surroundings. We were the only guests and our host was so helpful and considerate. He kindly upgraded us to his best room which was stunning. We had an absolutely perfect stay! We also forgot our laptop charger and he kindly posted it to us! Once in a lifetime stay , would 100% recommend!

Incredible Chateau. Owners on site very rural setting but an amazingly unique experience. We don’t love tours like to experience things on our own but this is one tour you need to take what the Owners family has done here is amazing. Must see!

Its originality and its rich history. The calm surroundings and great location between Albi and Gaillac and Cordes au ciel.
The room design is a bit quaint.

Fantastic place, a beautiful castle where the owner showed us around and told us all about what his family had done to save the castle! Lovely decorated rooms with furniture matching the age of the castle. Comfortable room and beds, lovely breakfast, easy to park. We slept in a room from 1420! Great experience and we would love to go there again.

it is stunning and in a tucked away area of old, medieval villages way off the beaten track.
we were met by the charming owner who spoke perfect English and immediately taken on a tour of his castle with its history dating back to the Knights Templars. An extraordinary story, told with love!!!
we went to the next chateau for an elegant dinner and had a delightful breakfast the next morning .
Goodbye to the owner, you were so busy preparing for a wedding tomorrow that we didn’t want to disturb you.
silly question!!

I stumbled upon this extraordinary place and decided to commit to a 3-night stay. Now I wish we'd had longer...
The Knights Templar Castle was built around 1212 AD. Its life in the modern era began in 1946 when a young artist saw the ruin, being used as a barn, and decided to buy it and make its restoration one of his two life's works. Restoration included electricity, plumbing, roof, reconstructing the battlements, and much more. He also did a tremendous amount of art-related work, resurfacing the guest room walls and painting them convincingly to resemble real marble (literally thousands of sq ft), decorative painting and purchasing suitable style furniture. His artworks are everywhere, and are available for sale.
There are several gorgeous rooms, including at least one magnificent suite, which we were lucky enough to stay in. The view from the windows was spectacular. Our room was spotless, the bed was very comfortable. It was a "bucket list" experience, and I feel very fortunate to have found the Chateau. Emanuel, the host, speaks good English (and Spanish, too) and he offered a lot of good advice for touring and of course a lot of knowledge about the castle. He is the second generation, and his work continues.
A modest breakfast is included, You can get a complementary personal tour of the castle, as well as accompanying paying visitors on a guided tour (in French) at no cost. The informal castle gardens in the back are nice and easily accessible for those who are mobile. The Castle makes up most of Senouillac, along with a small church and a couple of buildings with small businesses and homes. It is a +/- 15 minute drive to Galliac, which has good restaurants, and everything else. There are also several lovely French villages within 15-60 minutes' drive that provide ample opportunity for exploration. Among our favorites were Najac and Puycelci (small) and Albi (a large, historic town). Toulouse is an easy drive.
Obviously not for the mobility-impaired. But zero complaints.

Everything! Emmanuel was amazing! The whole place is a dream come true, with an amazing view from up the tower and lovely gardens to walk through. Beautiful and very well taken care of. The room was so big and clean and just overall impressive on every aspect. What a wonderful, inspiring place! Good breakfast as well. We just wish we would've stayed longer.
Nothing!!!!! One of the best places I've ever stayed at.

Everything. Stunning location and beautiful chateau. Most of all the wonderful story behind the restoration of the place by the artist father of the current owner. A fabulous gallery of the paintings of Beenard Bistes.

This property is absolutely stunning. The owners have been renovating it with lots of courage and devotion. The bedrooms are very comfortable and especially the two suites. Overlooking the valley at sunset from the bedroom windows was a truly amazing experience.

Unique medieval castle, renovated and maintained with love by its owner. You have the feeling you are traveling back in time. This was a great experience for the whole family.
the internet could have been a bit faster, as always in France.

This is a beautiful place in the middle of the vineyards. Emmanuel, the landlord is super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. His nickname is Zorro, and that’s for a good reason. Merci Emmanuel.

Our stay in this castle-museum was an extraordinary experience. Rooms were renovated and decorate with love, there was so much personality and beautiful, out of the ordinary pieces of art. We stayed in Deluxe Suite and had a chance to use adorable tiny kitchen to cook our dinner and large living room / exhibition hall to enjoy this in.

Incredible experience! The owner of the chateau was very friendly and helpful. He have us very good recommendations for eating out and, even though we have booked initially a room in the Annex of the chateau, offered us a room and inside the castle so we could be together with our friends.
