Very clean but the weeds were
High. One air conditioner did not work the cabinets were not in good condition and the stairs to the loft area do not have handrail and are a real danger The beds comfortable as well as the refrigerators and furniture. The wood terrace is gorgeous. The entrance to the property is and adventure due to the inclination of the road. The owner request to dispose the garbage in private dumpsters that do not belong to her, which I consider improper. Will recommend the property but not for senior persons.

When booking this property book an atv to pick up once off the fary or u will be hiking yourself and your bags up a mountain of a driveway it is very steap. Overall it was a very nice place.to stay

Although the location of the home is not where it is located in the listing (actually across the harbor), the views were glorious and it was a nice halfway point between town and Zoni. The host was extremely responsive and helpful to us prior to and during our stay. We had a great time!

We did not expect to be taken away when we walked up the deck steps of such a breath taking view of the bay. We loved that the owners provided a cooler, beach chairs & towels. We loved the location of the home too, it’s close to Zoni beach and you get to drive along the bay side every time you want to come into town. I would love to stay again

The house is beautiful, perfect for our family. The stairs to the second floor were a little scary for me only because I have a 3yr old. The decor was great and the views were better. I love the island of Culebra is my favorite part about going to Puerto Rico. Communication with the owner was great too. I would definitely rent this property again.

Overall we had a good experience staying at this house. A FWD car is highly recommended for this location. The owner is very responsive and helpful.
If you have allergies to wasps bites, please ensure to address it in advance of booking as we had an unfortunate encounter and got attacked by the wasps when we were checking in. What likely happened is that we inadvertently disturbed a wasp nest on the front staircase that is a little wobbly and is not used often. We didn’t see the side stairs and were not told not to use the front staircase. To be fair, wasps are abundant on the island and wasp nests were present at another property we stayed on Culebra. The owner was very responsive and prompt in addressing the issue once we reported it.

The view can't be beat. It is stunning. The house is mostly very, very nice. Keila is quick to respond to text and email. Some provisions were great,, like many Beach and bath towels were provided.. However, a number of things need attending. I write this list with the hope that they will all be taken care of, and then it would be a super fabulous rental. Here is the list:
fix hot water faucet in master bathroom, provide sheets that fit deep pocket mattress so they don't slip off every night, keep brush cleared from driveway, fix broken handles, cabinets, clean cabinets better, clean up area where washing machine is, fix broken "sleep" function on AC in master so that light goes off (too bright), provide clean scrubby, replace beach chairs with better straps and in better condition, mark cabinet with plates if you're going to put tape on it to hold it shut, fix deck and stairs, fix flopping rubber under cabinets, have info book with house (eg when is trash picked up so we know when we can leave trash out, as it was full) and local info, clean up loose trash around house, fix lock on door to deck, have beach umbrella or shade tarp available, bucket or hose outside for sandy feet, need metal spatula, clean paint speckles off dishes, knives sharpened, metal scrubby for pots, clean mold inside cooler, fix broken windows (didn't really bother us but would be goodbtobhave them working, repaint stains on walls, ceilings

This property is beautiful. The views are breathtaking and the property is nice. The deck is a little sketch, the driveway is quite steep and there are a few minor improvements that could be made in the kitchen but in comparison to many other properties we've stayed at in Culebra this is one of the best. Our family of 5 loved it and would stay here again.

"Luxurious" wouldn't be a word I would use to describe this place. It has a family vibe going on but definitely not luxurious. I would suggest renting a car, preferable a 4x4 to get to the place because it is up a very steep hill, which the owner failed to mention. I managed to get there in the golf cart almost by a miracle. The main set of stairs, which are part of the deck, were in fair condition. I would suggest replacing a few steps because some are broken or weak. The whole deck wasn't even painted and the yard could use some maintenance because the grass or weeds were coming through the steps. Only one outdoor light works that I could find and it only illuminates the deck. The owner's car was in the front, occupying space and it didn't look good having it there. There was trash and construction debris below the house where the laundry is located. That area could be used to store equipment for entertainment, including the beach chairs which were outside the house getting wet and full of rust and mold. Snorkeling equipment was on the deck on the floor along with a cooler in poor condition. The inside of the house wasn't that clean. There were lizard droppings in the master bedroom on the floor and walls. The oven has rust. The kitchen cutting board had mold. A handle on one of the kitchen cabinets was broken. The roof leaks on the family/living room through the ceiling lamp. It also leaks on the guest bathroom, which the shower is very small and uncomfortable. And it also leaks on the master bedroom bathroom and the loft room on the second floor. I almost slipped twice because of it, and the owner also failed to mention it. One of the windows on the second-floor room was open, the lock did not work. This is a safety hazard for the occupants. The ceiling lamp light bulb from the second-floor room did not work. There were personal belongings of the owner in every closet of the rooms that had a closet, and two of them didn't have a hanger bar. The two kitchen windows didn't have curtains. This might seem like a privacy issue. There was mold around the kitchen faucet. There was barely any hot water coming out of the shower faucets, I did tell the owner and she instructed me on something to do to fix it but it didn't work completely, water was still coming out almost cold after the first 2 minutes of turning it on. My friends and I didn't like our stay. I would suggest having a telescope. The views during the day and the starry night made it okay.

This was a great home for our family of 5. It was clean on arrival, had all of the necessities and easy checkin. Keile was so helpful with information well before our stay and immediately responsive during our stay when we had questions and an issue with WiFi. The location was perfect…absolutely amazing view from the hilltop home, with beautiful sunsets each evening from the deck, main living space and kitchen. Nicely secluded, but easy to get to all of the beaches and town. Steep driveway, Jeep or Broncho is best for it, but that is how you get to the amazing view! The kids loved the driveway! The cupola room was the one everyone wanted to stay in because of the 360 view, but needs to be considered as potential seasonal use depending on the bug situation…which is to be expected on an island! We had a great stay in this wonderful home!

We believe that the cleaning of the house has to be more deep and also too many bugs so they need to exterminate more often inside the house.
Also we never didi we found the dock area.
Overall a good experience.

Everything went well. Awesome view. Overall nice accommodations. Good location. Decent decor. Minor issues such as no beach towels, malfunctioning hair dryer and other minor discrepancies. The property was not dirty, but not impecable either. New door rooms were a great addition. Also good beach chairs and a cooler. Definitely need a 4x4 to access. Biggest issue by far was the fact that we did not have water for a day. The owner was very responsive throughout and kept us informed of developments, still you would expect some kind of provisions (water tank as a min.) for events like these common in PR. Would stay again if this one miss is addressed.

This location is amazing. Views are unbeatable and the deck is wonderful in the evenings as the sun goes down. House interior is lovely and beds are comfortable. Plenty of seating. Adequately appointed.
We are from the north. To us the loft is terribly hot an unusable as there are no screens on the windows. Do not count on this bed space.
The laundry is located outside under the house. This is not super convenient and it is difficult to manage the washer without hitting your head. But it works and clothes came out clean and dry.
As this was our first trip to Culebra I can not compare to other accommodations but I do think this is priced a bit high considering the loft is not truly useable for sleeping.

Our stay was wonderful. Everything was just as described. Great views from everywhere in the house. It feels like you could reach the clouds. I would stay there again. :)

The best of this property is the View. You need to rent a 4x4.

We loved our stay at this house. It was comfortable, clean, with OUTSTANDING views! One update is that all the bedrooms on the main floor have doors - and they all have their own AC units & ceiling fans. There are two twin beds in the way upstairs/loft area (that little roof top that you see in the picture) We didn't have to use those beds, but they may be considered the short straw - might be a little hot (although the windows do open for good air flow, and the space is really neat). The kitchen was great - fully equipped which was so appreciated since many restaurants were closed due to Covid. Comfy couches, great TV. I had a couple of questions for the owner during our stay and she was so responsive! Followed up to make sure we were all set with everything. I would definitely rent this house again, it's a gem.

Although I grew up in Puerto Rico I had never visited this island. It is amazingly beautiful!! Villa Pugue is perfectly isolated and with the best views!! You can see the sunrise and the sunset. And I. The evening prepare yourself for a night sky show!! A very comfortable home with just enough amenities. And even though we came here during tight Pandemic restrictions we were able to navigate the rules and enjoy ourselves!! We will certainly return!!

I am so glad my family and I rented this Amazing Villa! The villa is situated overlooking the harbor in close proximity to town, just far enough to enjoy peace and quiet. THE VIEW FROM THE DECK WAS BREATHTAKING! The house was immaculate and accommodated four people comfortably. It was also stocked with everything we could need.
Our host couldn't have been more accommodating for our short stay. She made sure we had everything we needed. The Villa's caretaker was also very helpful and friendly. Thank you Keila and Hector!
We hope to return to Culebra and the Villa soon!!!

A beautiful spot on a beautiful island! At the end of every family vacation, my family of 4 says what they liked an didn't like about vacation, and gives any input for future vacations. We all agreed that Culebra was our favorite spot yet (over Vieques and St. John) and that we would stay in this villa again. The view from the deck is unbelievable and if you're looking to relax, this is the spot. We loved that it was a quiet spot just for us, the family, with no one else around. Snorkeling is amazing, locals are friendly, and the villa has everything you need.
Thank you for a fabulous week!

Having being to Culebra 20 years ago with my wife, we decided to bring the kids, oldest being 18. I chose Villa Pugue based on number of rooms and the pictures on the website. We arrived to Culebra on the ferry, and met one of my hosts at the car rental. The view from the deck of the house was spectacular, and made any imperfection we could find with the house meaningless. The house is 10 minutes to anything (beach, market, restaurants.) We used the kitchen every day. The beaches were out of this world, and being older now we appreciated them more. The kids never complained once, and were ready to go every morning. We took a trip to Culebrita and it was the highlight of the vacation. Flamenco beach was ranked 2nd in the world by tripadvisor this year, but the beaches at Culebrita were even better. On Culebra island itself my wife and I prefer Zoni Beach, and my kids were divided, My son likes to ride the waves, so his favorite was Brava Beach. The house had beach chairs, a cooler, and some snorkeling equipment. (We brought our own snorkeling equipment.) The house had excellent air conditioning. The owners instructions via email were accurate, not surprisingly since she practically grew up in Culebra. My dealings with her were pleasant and professional. We even did laundry. There was a washer and lines to air dry. We already miss watching the sunsets over the bay every day. As previous reviewers pointed out, there are no doors inside the house, so you have to announce yourself when walking into rooms. The bathroom in the main area had a see through glass window. We put up paper towels to cover it while we were there. It was a source of jokes. But in all, my family has rated this one as the best vacation ever.

Our experience surpassed our expectations. The homes location was central to everything. The space was open and the views from the deck were amazing. The property was well-maintained. The beaches were beautiful, and relaxing and the snorkeling brilliant. The water clarity was second to none. Be sure to start your day at Pandeli bakery for warm cheese danish and pick up a sandwich for the afternoon. Zaco's tacos should not be missed and Susie's has excellent cuisine. If you are looking for an island respite this is the place for you.

Beautiful home, well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds with nice linens, and the most incredible views sitting on the deck overlooking the harbor.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Incredible view of the lagoon, town, and stars. Great location close to everything but also far enough from everything. The villa has everything we needed and more...clean, comfy beds, fully stocked kitchen, A/C, Sat TV, books, view, view, view. The owner was/is very professional and helpful. Full of on-island knowledge and even answered all of our text during our stay such as..'Do you know where the church is', 'who can take us on a boat tour', ect. After a day at the beach or in town we looked forward to returning to this villa. We can't wait to stay here again.

I had a wonderful experience renting from these owners. I would recommend this villa to anyone!

The house is located perfectly, on top of a hill with a beautiful view to the Ensenada Honda with a great refreshing breeze. The property is close to everything, but in a peaceful and somewhat secluded space. Everything inside the house was in great conditions. We were only a bit surprised by the lack of doors in rooms, but it wasn't really a problem. The owner was very helpful and easy to reach (Thank you so much!). Hope to rent this property again soon!

This was my first time staying at this property and it definately will not be my last. I have vacationed all over the U.S. and this was hands down one of the most relaxing getaways I have experienced, not just because of the beautiful and culturally rich island of culebra but because this villa was situated in a perfect position to allow you to enjoy the entire island at your own pace. The view from the deck in the morning is absolutely amazing as it overlooks the bright blue water in the bay and the interior was extremely comfortable, very clean and has pretty much anything you would need during your stay. Its only been a short time since I have left and I already wish I was back!
