The Fergusons and their property were nothing short of amazing. Leading up to our stay Mrs. Brenda kept constant communication to assure everything ran smoothly for our arrival and stay, including helping us get transportation to and from the airport. We had 16 people so we rented 4 of the suites and had the villa to ourselves. We bought groceries and cooked breakfast and dinner every night during our 6 night stay. They have everything you need to cook, clean and grill. Just have to buy the food and seasonings.
Coastal Winds is a bit of ways away from the main attractions and beaches, so I would advise that you rent a car. Do not be afraid of them driving on the left side, it’s super easy and will save you a ton of money.
We will definitely be returning and the only place we can think about staying aside from a resort is this Coastal Winds property. It has everything you may need.

Wow! Where to begin…Ms. Brenda was the absolute perfect host. We were a family of 7 on a spring break getaway. From the moment we stepped foot on property, we knew it was gong to be a fabulous week. Everything was so well taken care of all week long. The pool was cleaned 3 different days and the grounds were cleaned daily by Ms. Rose. We used 4 of the rooms for our group and they were perfectly stocked with all the essentials. If there was any issues whatsoever, Ms. Brenda was so quick to react, and they were resolved before we knew it. We felt like we became part of their family. We had the luxury of being there during the Ferguson’s anniversary as well as the day that their grandbaby was born. Would recommend this property to anyone looking for a great stay away from all the hustle and bustle. Thanks for the wonderful memories!!

We had so much fun! Everyone in the property was so nice! Very clean and hanging around the tiki bar at night was great. Being able to be in our own space for sleeping was a definite bonus too. We will be back!

We had a wonderful experience at the lovely Coastal Winds property. We, three couples, rented three of the suites, (the others were left empty so we could have the place to ourselves), which were exactly as pictured: clean, well-appointed, and comfortable. Also as pictured were the gorgeous grounds, from the sparkling pool and native flowers and plants to the tiki hut that was perfect for dining and playing games together.
The host, Brenda, was absolutely the sweetest person. She anticipated some of our needs and accommodated them and was available to provide information and products beyond what were already in the suites. Her genuine kindness and attentive care was the best I've ever experienced from a host.
As noted in the description, this property is located away from downtown, the cruise port, and the beaches, tucked away in a gated, private community. We rented a vehicle, so we were able to drive to everything we wanted to see and do with no problem. We recommend this beautiful listing for friends or families who want to experience relaxing downtime in stunning surroundings with access to nearby activities for the ultimate Bahamas vacation.

We booked all 5 Coastal Winds apartments for 2 weeks as we were visiting from the UK to connect with family living in Nassau. As a group of 12, including 5 children, the complex couldn't have been a more perfect place for us to stay.
The apartments were beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, cool thanks to great air-con, and had everything we needed to cook a few simple meals throughout the stay. But it was the outside area that absolutely made it for us. The children barely left the pool, and the Tiki bar and gazebo area allowed us to eat and drink communally every day, as well as relax and watch the kids in the pool in the evenings. We had a family bbq using the huge grill, and loved the outside sound system and TV's for music and entertainment. There is a fully equipped laundry room, and Rose was there each week-day to help us with laundry, and keeping the whole space beautifully clean and tidy for us.
Brenda was a friendly, kind and attentive host. I cannot fault her at all. She felt like family by the end of the stay as she made us feel so welcome, and checked on us regularly to make sure we were happy. We had hire cars, but when we needed a taxi she immediately booked Mr Jacob for us, who was very friendly and professional.
Coastal Winds is situated in a gated community about 20 mins from the busy centre of Nassau. The gate is secured 24/7, and that added to our relaxation when we were on site.
I can't imagine staying anywhere better on New Providence.

My family had the pleasure of booking this lovely property and had the time of our lives!! We had 13 people with us and everyone had plenty of space of their own or we could meet by the pool and tiki hut for time together. We started our trip with a 5 course meal prepared by Chef Johnson (referred by Mrs. Brenda). That was the PERFECT way to start our trip as everyone was blown away by how great the food was. We had a bad storm that first night and unfortunately the pool umbrella's got damaged, Mrs. Brenda got umbrella's within 36 hours of that so that we would have the necessary shade. She and her staff were just amazing!! We couldn't ask for a better Host. We ended up booking massages on a day that the majority of the group went fishing. We used Wellness Spa Bahamas and that was amazing. They came to our location and set up an area so that we could really relax. It was just another great addition to the already perfect vacation destination for our family.
Thank you Mrs. Brenda!! Your hospitality made our trip extra special because of you and your staff's exceptional service and friendliness. We hope to book with you again!

We loved our stay at the costal winds property. All the suites were as pictured and the property kinda is off the beaten path, which also made it special. We are a family and we love having our privacy and yet being together. This property is perfect. Beautiful, quiet, safe, and yet close enough to everything.

Our family of 7 stayed at Coastal winds for 8 days. It is an absolutely perfect setting. We used 3 of the suites for the week which worked out great. Each suite is nicely furnished. The pool area is your own amazing oasis where you and your family can relax after a long day. On a few days we just stayed on the property to enjoy the pool for the day, there is an awesome sound system that you can use by the pool area.
Brenda the host is the best, she made check in seamless. (The gardens on the property are beautiful as well, our son used them for his engagement proposal and it was a perfect setting)!
We rented car for the week which we were happy we did, we like to go to different places on the island so it was much more economical. We did use Mr. Jacobs one day for a ride, he is great.

We were in the Bahamas for the Carifta games. We stayed at this property with a group of 7 people, taking up four of the five suites.
For anyone reading this, I can say that it was an excellent choice for us.
The property is located in a gated community. Not that it is needed, but it adds to the feeling of safety.
That is true for anywhere one goes and this one was no different.
The community is relatively new, but what struck me was that while there are other houses nearby, the feeling of calmness and serenity was strongly present.
The property itself is just as others have reviewed it.
For those not wanting to read those reviews, the suites look and feel very new.
They are very clean, spaceous and had everything we needed. A joy to be in.
We all had the privacy of our own rooms, and whenever we wanted to, we could (and would) go to the general pool area to chill.
By the way, the pictures in the property are spot on! The landscaping was just unbelievable.
The pool area provides more than enough space to very comfortably enjoy of the days in the sun.
As for Mrs. Ferguson, she's everything you could expect from a great landlord: sweet, attentive and just plain a joy to be around.
She even brought us some homemade pastries.
Before getting to the Bahamas, she made sure everything was in order for us.
When we got there, she made sure we had everything we needed in terms of food and drinks by arranging Mr. Jacob, a recommended driver, to drive us to a supermarket.
Some other reviews mention the commute times to other parts of the island.
We had no problems whatsoever with this. Remember that this is a small island, and nothing is ever far.
For the comfort we had, I would call this the perfect place to be.

First I want to say this property was exactly how it's displayed in the pictures. Very clean, quiet, vibrant, and safe. The host Mrs. Ferguson was a delight. She made sure everything we needed or asked she was able to help with. There was someone onsite every morning to keep the grounds tidy and pool clean. The accomodations in one word was great. My stay was comfortable and safe and that's why I look for in a home away from home and this property did just that. Thank you Mrs. Ferguson for the great stay.

The property was gorgeous. The suites were beautifully decorated and extremely clean!
Mrs. Ferguson was an EXCEPTIONAL host. She went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable.

The outdoor recreational area really shines for the property. Our two families stayed in two of the suites that all back on to a large pool with an outdoor seating area and bar area.
Property was clean, and aspects such as laundry facilities so you don't have to pack clothes for every day of the trip were appreciated.
The location is in the south central area of the island and requires driving to visit Nassau destinations. We opted to use Mr. Jacob, a driver recommended by the property manager. The daily cost was less than a car rental and quite convenient as our group of eight could be accommodated in a single trip by his three seating row vehicle.
The property would be enjoyed by all, but especially families with children as games and play in the large size pool kept the kids occupied for hours.
A final note, the property owner is quite responsive and checked in on our group during our stay to make sure all was well.

I can’t tell you how special this place was. The host and her family were gems! They anticipated our needs arriving on Christmas Day! Mrs. Ferguson put us in touch with Mr. Jacob who picked us up from the airport and brought us to other island sites. The property was impeccable. Shhh! The groundskeeper even climbed to get us coconuts filled with coconut water! The pool, the bar, the laundry, and outdoor gathering places were just what we needed in the mornings and return from excursions. Make arrangements with Mr. Jacob for all your transportation needs as the property is about 20 minutes away from the downtown and most tourist spots. Wonderful hosts and wonderful, safe property. We plan to stay there again for our next family gathering in Bahamas!!

Gorgeous property with our very own pool. We had a group of 15 people & we fit comfortably. Brenda was an exceptional host making sure we had what we needed & even helped us find dinner spots. We highly recommend this spot.

Everything was perfect! Just what we envisioned and just as it looked in the pictures. Brenda was the best hostess ever and was eager and able to help with anything we needed. We did some excursions while we there and it was so nice to have such a great place to come home to. So relaxing! We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Hope we have a chance to go back someday and if we do I know where we are staying!

We stayed at this property while traveling for a business trip. The layout of the suites is great - plenty of space and very comfortable. We did not end up using the tiki bar area or BBQ area as we had originally intended, but they were beautiful and welcoming. As others have mentioned, the area is gated and very safe. I enjoyed walking many mornings. The pool was beautiful and very warm & comfortable. Some prior reviews indicated that at one time there might have been a hot tub, but that is no longer case. Of course, wasn't a problem for us! The guest laundry facility is very spacious, bright and clean, with multiple washers/dryers so many people can do laundry at once. The host provides detergent as well. Each suite comes with one roll of paper towels and a few backup trash bags. We thought for certain that we would need more of each, but they were just enough for us for our stay. Basic seasonings, saran wrap, aluminum foil not included, so plan accordingly. Also, host does not provide soap for the bathroom, so I'd suggest to plan to pickup a bottle to have to wash hands. We brought our own hair dryers as well. The only thing that I would advise others about - the property is on the south end of the island. When we originally looked it up it appeared to be on the north central part, closer to Paradise Island. It wasn't an issue for us because we had already planned for a car rental, but for others the commute could get expensive if you planned to get out a lot. You are looking at anywhere between a 25 & 45 minute commute to get to the other ends of the island, depending upon what you are planning to do. With teens & young adults, it was a little challenging to decide what we were doing for the day so as not to end up spending a couple of hours traveling to and from the property. For people who have an open schedule and younger kids, this would be absolutely ideal as you could literally spend the entire day by the pool, cook and not need to leave. Depending upon the activities you are considering, I'd also highly suggest doing your research into places that offer resort day passes. We found some ranging from $10-$200 (excluding food and beverage) and a few all inclusive properties ranging from $75-$150. This was a nice way for us to get out, see some things and still entertain the young adults. All in all this property is beautiful, the hosts are thoughtful, accommodating and responsive. We are glad we stayed!

My family and I stayed 9 days the first week of June 2022. We had a great time. The weather did not fully co operate. We had blast non the less. Brenda Ferguson and her husband Larry were the best host ever! Brenda was very attentive to all our needs. The place (all suites) were better than I had expected. Very clean and spacious. The pool and tiki bar was awesome. The property is located on the south side of the island. We loved it and had no problems getting around town. I will most certainly be coming back, if they will have us. This is a 5 stars place!

The property was amazing. Very beautiful and well maintained. The property owners were very nice and went above and beyond checking on us to make sure we were okay. The property was in a gated community, which made you feel very safe. It took about 30 minutes to get to the northern side of the island, where Atlantis is. It was nice having the property solely to who I brought with me. You didn't have to be around hundreds of strangers, loud noises, kids crying, etc. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone who is looking to visit the Bahamas. Well worth the money!

Costal winds is the perfect getaway. From booking to departure, the Ferguson's made sure everything was perfect. The property was exactly as described and absolutely beautiful. The hospitality was even better. Brenda helped with covid testing requirements and advised on transportation and a private chef. Mr. Jacob was an excellent driver, accommodating and very personable. We highly recommend this property and all the fun that goes with it. We can't wait to return.

Coastal Winds is the perfect property for multi family vacations in Nassau. It was beautiful, clean, walking distance to the ocean, quiet and the owner/property manager was very attentive! Each family had privacy in their rooms...but could meet at the pool whenever they wanted! I would highly recommend this property.

Many thanks to the owners of this property for a delightful holiday , It is a great place for families , with a pool to play in, , a swing set for the little ones, outdoor TV for the big guys, and full kitchens to use . It is nice for each separate family to have their own units to go to at the end of the day.The facilities were spotless, and linens and towels were washed daily. Brenda was always checking in to see if we needed anything ,It is quiet in the area, so going for daily walks was easy.They have the services of Mr. Jacob for transportation, around the island and for airport transfers, and they can hook you up with a great caterer "Lisa" from Topps Catering A perfect place for a large family to vacation in Nassau.Many thanks to the hostess of this property.Always helpful, and friendly,

Our family (grown kids) met there for Thanksgiving! Its in an upscale area away from the busy tourist area. We used Mr Jacobs taxi service to go to the beach, etc. Loved it because we could all meet by the pool and each bring something out to the big dinner table by the pool in the evenings! Bare in mind it will take some time and money each time you want to travel to Paradise Island, beaches etc. Everything was great and Brenda was very attentive and even called to make sure we made it home ok!!!

This vacation spot is on the south western shore of the Bahama Island and a good few miles from all the usual amenities you might want or need and whilst nothing is far away the traffic can sometimes be prohibitive to moving around quickly. We rented three of the rooms here for our family and they were spacious and well decorated with plenty of good linens and with very comfortable beds. However, with four children the very nice china and glass tableware was under threat and three pieces were broken accidentally. We have spoken to the owner about putting in some good looking plastic ware for those occasions when kids come to stay. You will be required to pay for breakages. I purchased paper cups and plates to avoid further breakage and injury to the kids. We also would have loved some additional kitchen items as we were cooking our own food and this too the owner is happy to supply. Overall we were very impressed by the service, the lovely personality of the owners, and the lovely rooms. The pool and bar area was a real bonus, being large as well as deep. the pool brought many hours of fun swimming. There was also a laundry room and outside shower/toilet. On one occasion the power went out but the owner had that covered with their own generator. WiFi was a bit in and out but maybe that's a good thing with kids it gets them to do other things rather than sit around all day. Overall, it was a quiet place with lots of tropical flowers and shrubs and there are non poisonous snakes which you might see around but they are all over the island not just there. The kids enjoyed seeing them and identifying them, along with the frogs, and lizards. We enjoyed our stay very much and the owners were only too happy to supply info as they were very friendly. We traveled to the IMAX cinema a one off at $38 a seat for adults, Snorkling at Stuart's Diving was excellent, Atlantis via ferry having parked at The Point, the Straw Market, the Blue Sail for our last dinner night, Senor Frogs, The Smuggler restaurant where they serve breakfast until 10.30. There is a 27% resort fee in a hotel and 80% imported food so you have to pay more than you would back home. Hope this helps.

Stayed 4 days and Three nights, this was a mini stay for my big birthday. This place is amazing, it's beautiful. They only rent it out to just your family no matter how big of small it may be, and that a plus. MR. Jacobs was our personal taxi driver, he has a lot of knowledge about the Bahamas and very nice, I suggest you reserved his services. There's so much to see and do and that's the reason I'm coming back next year. Make sure you check the weather, we went in June and it was baking! The suites are spacious and clean, Ms Brenda is very nice and her smile lights the room up.

Coastal Winds is the perfect place to go to unwind from the madness of a busy life. If you want lots of activity and/or nightlife, don’t stay here. If you want the serenity and beauty that the Bahamas has to offer, this is the place for you. The pictures are realistic, and the pool is fabulous. The hosts are available and willing to help you navigate whatever activities you want off property. Couldn’t have asked for a nicer retreat!

From the time we booked our vacation until the time the taxi took us back to the airport Brenda and Larry were absolutely the most gracious host you could ask for. Mr Jacob always on time picked us up bright and early from the airport to get us to coastal winds where we were greeted by Mr and Mrs Ferguson. After a quick luggage drop we received the grand tour which finished with an open invite to their very own garden filled with collard greens okra peppers kale and a few other items as we were encouraged to pick them and enjoy. We cooked some collard greens in one of the villas which were delicious. Anything we needed any questions we had any concerns were all treated with great attentiveness. We asked for a chef and couldn't have been happier with the recommendation. So much food for ten people and we left behind some even after packing some to take back home. Everyone in our group shared the same sentiments and we all plan to return! SOON AS POSSIBLE.... I highly recommend this property especially if you are looking to kick back and relax amongst the most comfortable amenities in such a private setting. Great experience..... Next time I would like to do a full seven days as opposed to four. Thank Mr and Mrs Ferguson!

A gorgeous place that is extremely well kept. It is exactly as advertised. No disappointments there! All the Bahamian sites are easily accessible and Jacob our driver, guide and friend could not have been better. The Ferguson’s at Coastal Winds are exceptional people who we will always remember and hope to see again. You simply can’t go wrong booking this piece of paradise!!

Coastal Winds is a lovely, quiet place to relax and unwind. Brenda Ferguson is the perfect person to be your host, she enjoys people and is accommodating to their needs. Property and gardens are beautiful. Rooms are not just clean, but shining clean! Excellent for a vacation for the family, especially with younger children. Her recommended driver, Mr. Jacob, was perfect for our needs.

Wow, I don't know where to start this place is the most hospitable and beautiful resort that we have stayed at. Mr. and Mrs. Ferguson had welcomed us openly as we had our whole family escape on a trip to this wonderful private resort . The weather was not always cooperative but Mr. and Mrs. Ferguson and their staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful trip. from heating their whole pool to make it comfortable for our children on some cooler nights to Mrs. Ferguson herself even cooking us a Bahamian meal to be able to experience the wonderful Bahamian culture to steering us to the right places to check out, grocery stores to go to and the list goes on. The Coastal Winds is definitely a place you will not regret going to . We were referred to a taxi driver called Mr. Jacobs who is definitely also a must to get as he even provides the history of Bahamas and extra places to see. I would rate this by far a five-star resort without even having to think about it.

We were a family of fourteen and the hosts made us feel at home.
The facility is excellent. We enjoyed everything, its a very nice place to stay. l give it a ten out of ten. the rooms, the pool, the hot tub/ jacuzzi, we enjoyed everything.
The owners are very loving and welcoming. l will be going back to the same place soon.
