More or less as expected from online property description & reviews. Breakfast was disappointing.

Clean, comfortable room. Private car park. Good location.

Basic overpriced continental breakfast.

Had a lovely stay, would stay there again.

Nice location. Short ten minute walk to Oxford University. The room was quite comfortable, and our bathroom looked brand new. The staff were very accommodating and helpful. I would stay there again.

The only downside is if you are traveling in a larger vehicle it won’t fit in the car park. Also there is no lift so you might be carrying baggage up steps.

Das Zimmer war groß und die Lage ist gut. Man ist in ca. 10-15 Minuten zu Fuß in der Stadt.

Wir würden die Unterkunft nicht nochmal buchen. Das Haus ist alt und alles ist ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen. Richtig sauber war es auch nicht. Am schlimmsten war für uns, dass es extrem (!) hellhörig war, sodass wir fast gar nicht schlafen konnten. Man hört jeden Schritt, jedes Wort und sogar das Schnarchen der anderen Gäste. Für das Geld (140€ pro Nacht ohne Frühstück) unserer Meinung nach nicht tragbar!

Location excellent. Car park facility-excellent. Bed comfortable.

Breakfast -poor value for additional price paid -no option of cooked breakfast. Cramped bedroom- we were in attic bedroom-low ceiling on one side of bed. On arrival, greeted by pleasant individual. On leaving spoke to another Gentleman who was borderline rude, at best monosyllabic.

It was ok. We were only there for 2 nights.

It was in a reasonable location. The manager was friendly

The room was small. It felt a bit like a boarding house. There was a strong smell of smoke in the entry lobby and stairs. Stairs up to the room. No lift.

Very useful for short, in-city business trips

Relaxing atmosphere, staff helpful, even with the parking or other requests, nice, typical, clean room, very good position. Parking was limited but there's a Park & Ride very convenient nearby, for 5 £ for up to 16 h, including return ticket.

No sound isolation. Price could include breakfast easy.

Nice place, but not for a longer stay.

It was a clean and nice room. Breakfast was lovely and the hosts were really friendly and attentive.

The beds were not so good to sleep in and the toilet was running. The house is beside a mayor road, so you hear the traffic, if you open a window.

Ugh

I overpaid tremendously for a ‘family room’ in which we could barely move. It was not possible to bend to brush one’s teeth without maneuvering carefully between the toilet & the shower. It was nothing like the picture on line. I’m 5’8”, not 7’. Also breakfast was not included which was a rip off. Tremendously disappointing. Never again.

Checkin is too late

We didn’t have breakfast here. It's 15 minute walk to centre of Oxford and buses pass regularly.

We arrived in the pouring rain and I was chastised by the man on reception for leaving our car in half hour early. So he also reinforced his messages that check in wasn’t until 4. I was disappointed with this as I thought he could have accommodated a little earlier as the rain was pouring down and we needed change.

Exceptional

The staff were unusually helpful and accommodating. The location is close to Oxford City Centre--just a short walk up Abingdon Road to Christ Church--there is a laundromat a block away and a Tesco Express just a little farther. The rooms were very clean and very comfortable and cleverly appointed: ours was a small top floor room with an angled ceiling and the room optimized space with a shower/toilet, clothes storage space, desk, and rollout tea tray. Onsite parking is a big plus, too. The breakfast was very good. We have found out go-to place for staying in Oxford.

Short study stay in Oxford

Nice and clean hotel, small but confortable room, completed by kettle, coffee, teas and well organized furniture. Not so far from the city centre, a 15 minute walk. A note for future visitors: there is a hairdrier hidden in the night table, so you won't get crazy trying to find it! :)

Reception hours did not match the indicated timetable at the entrance, but maybe it was just a case.

Location is about 15 mins on foot from the city centre. Nice place, does the job. The staff is very nice and helpful. Breakfast was delicious, is defo worth the price. Parking available in the back for free

The water pressure was very low in the shower and it was quite hard to setup the temperature (it was either boiling hot or ice cold).

A peaceful, comfortable and welcoming environment for a visit to Oxford city.

The member of staff who greeted me was friendly and helpful. My stay was off to a good start. The room was warm and spacious; very clean; and there was plenty of tea, coffee and long-life milk plus biscuits each day. Working TV and hair-dryer were provided. The room was also quiet, a bonus in a central location on a main road. Oxford city is a very short bus ride or walk from the guest house. There is also the beautiful Hinksey Park nearby.

As it is an old property there are no lifts and my room was on the top floor, four flights of steep, narrow stairs. The stairs were carpeted and safe with sturdy hand-rails, but it was tiring climbing them at the end of a busy day. Also the doors to the stairs open straight on to them so it was difficult to manoeuvre with bags. However this is not unusual in Oxford guest houses.

Good value and convenient location

Convenient location, only 15 minutes walk to Oxford city centre. Very comfortable bed and great shower. Parking is a big bonus. We didn't purchase breakfast option, so I can't comment on that. Overall very good value for the price paid and would stay again in future.

A lovely Oxford guest house

We really enjoyed our stay at the Sportsview guest house. Our rooms were clean, comfy and warm despite it being freezing outside. The hosts were very friendly and happy to help, and the location was perfect for a weekend in Oxford!
