Spacious confortable room, surprisingly quiet on 3rd floor in centre de ville. Excellent breakfast.

Did not get the rooms we booked. Access with a child in a wheelchair was not taken into consideration even though we had specified our needs. No compensation despite the situation air help with baggage considering we had to carry our 10 year old disabled child up the stairs.

great location. nice staff.
the aircondition made the room stink very badly (probably the filter hadnt been changed in a long time or the room was a smoking room or so)

courtyard though see below
staff friendly
My room number 2 overlooked the courtyard and it’s bar. This meant that it was noisy all day with people below. These courtyard rooms are not for those who want to rest in daytime!
At night the bar is open till around midnight but the staff play music till they leave. I think the hotel should warn people if they want to use those rooms.
Also, my room was above the reception sliding auto doors and it took me a while to work out what the constant knocking and rolling noise was - every time anyone comes in or out. I bought earplugs and this may be specific to room 2, but I wouldn’t have chosen this hotel or if they had mentioned it I wouldn’t have chosen a courtyard room.
of course Avignon is great at festival time and it’s called central hotel, but the problem is just the rooms above the courtyard - one still gets a hotel as need to rest and shouldn’t have to only rest when bar not operating or nobody using the doors (which is most of time of course)
But…awesome location and cute hotel

The room 51 on the roof with an amazing terrace was fantastic. Clean, comfortable and quiet. Tasty breakfast. Kind and friendly staff. Great location in the city centre.
No parking spots. The floor in the shower corner is not leveled and the water flows on the floor all over the bathroom

My wife and I were very pleased with our four-night stay at the Hôtel Central in Avignon. We had booked a deluxe room, and it was indeed very comfortable and attractive. The room could be reached by lift/elevator, and it was warm even in January.
Rooms were nicely serviced every day except Sunday. The reception is open around the clock. We liked the hotel's cheerful small internal courtyard and the friendly style of the staff. .
We particularly liked the breakfast: quality foodstuffs, nicely presented in an attractive breakfast room. The buffet and the room looked fresh and inviting throughout the breakfast period.
For us the location of the hotel was excellent: it is not far from the Gare (railway station) and it is "centrally located with respect to palaces, churches, museums and other sights.
I would like to point out that the Rue de la République certainly lacks the charm of other parts of Avignon. However, more charming areas are only a few minutes away on foot. And if the Rue de la République lacks charm, it does offer a wide range of shops and services.

Location is very central. Nearby is a big public parking. Breakfast was ok.
Room was a bit small as per my taste.

The location was great. Our room was upgraded to a family room - which we didn't need. We just had to go up few stairs to get to our room. The breakfast options were awesome. The evening/night staff was really friendly and helpful but could have used some help between 7 pm and 8 pm.
When we got there around 7:15 pm, we did not know where to park; there was no specific information on the website when we made the reservation. My husband was waiting inn the car and I ran into the hotel to inquire about the parking. There were at least 8 people waiting in the small reception area and the phone was ringing off the hook. I waited a little and finally asked couple people if they knew about the parking, but they couldn't help because they came in train. They suggested I go to the front of the line to ask the question. The agent behind the desk told me to park at the parking Jean Jaures near the train station and we would get a 20% discount, which we did. When we got back to the desk, sh told us that in the morning, we would ask the desk person to stamp our ticket to get the discount. But unfortunately, the next day, when we showed our parking stub to the agent, she said the hotel didn't have an agreement with Parking Indigo Jean Jaures. I tried to argue about it but the woman behind the desk didn't want to hear about it, said we used the wrong parking and was not vey nice about it. WE just feel that the website should have been more clear about where to park.
