This house was the perfect location for our days in the Rangeley area. Neat and clean, plenty of room to spread out inside and outside with the large yard and beautiful view of the lake. Porch is perfect to sit in rocking chairs and relax or you can take a nap in the shade in the hammock beneath the trees. Nice fire pit, access to the dock for kayaking or paddle boarding. Lots of games for kids & adults! with cornhole, foosball table, air hockey and board games. Would go back again for sure.

Always the perfect spot.
Another exceptional week at Village Walk on Rangeley lake. Two families and adult kids with plenty of room for 10. 3 private rooms that sleep 2, one full size bed with bunks in the room— the rest are twins. We bring our jet skis that we are able to leave right at the private dock. The paddle boards, kayaks, canoe and paddle boat all get lots of use! Love the convenience of the walk into town. See you next summer!!

This is our third stay at Village Walk. The house is the perfect size for our family of 10. There is plenty of room for us to be all together, or for people to space out when we needed a break from the chaos (HA HA!). It's a beautiful property. We especially loved sitting in the rockers on the porch with a cup of coffee first thing in the morning. The house is close enough to town to walk to check out the shops and, of course, Pine Tree Frosty. Sarge's and The Red Onion are great places to eat as well. We have stayed at many other places on the lake, but Village Walk is definitely one of our favorites.

Village Walk in the winter
We stayed mid-March 2021 primarily to ski at Saddleback. Because we booked late, we could not find a suitable place near the ski resort that had enough bedrooms and fit our budget. We were very happy staying at Village Walk. The home at the end of Lake St., so it is walking distance to restaurants and boutiques in town and has unobstructed views of the Lake. This includes beautiful sunsets! It's only a 15 minute drive to the mountain (shorter or longer depending on weather conditions) so really not remote. The gas fireplace is well designed - designed to look almost like a real wood fire, unlike some gas fireplaces. The number of bedrooms and actual beds is quite substantial and the house is divided with separate staircases and multiple interior walls so it's possible to have a couple families stay together and preserve a good amount of privacy. Morton & Furbish were very helpful and responsive during our stay - we needed some things printed and a cast iron pan, and they were able to provide both.

5 Stars-Perfect Lake, Perfect house!
With summer 2020 looming with no definitive plans due to COVID we were losing hope that we would find a house that offered more.... something for everyone. We typically head south for our annual family trip however due to quarantines, etc., needed to find something north of New Jersey. Most of us had never been to Maine. We scored big time with this rental which we were lucky enough to find due to a last minute cancellation. The house is in a fantastic location....not only right on the lake but walking distance to town. It slept 14 of us comfortably. There were plenty of toys to keep our days busy including 2 stand-up paddle boards, 3 kayaks and 1 canoe. The perfect house for traveling with teenagers because not only did they enjoy the time on the lake but were able to walk to town, to the shops, to get ice cream and to the basketball court which is right next door to the house. The house has it's own dock. We rented 2 pontoon boats for one day and spent our entire day out exploring the beautiful lake, swimming and fishing. We were also lucky enough to be able to find one waverunner to be able to rent for four hours which the kids had a blast with. It was somewhat difficult to find a reliable waverunner rental place....hopefully for our next visit the search will be easier! We also rented a fishing boat for several of the days we were there which the boys used from dawn until dusk. My husband also enjoyed his distance swimming in the lake every morning. The house has a Weber gas grill which was used on the days we weren't enjoying dinners out at the local restaurants. The house was well stocked with pots, pans and utensils and had everything we needed (one request, a couple more cookie sheets, a vegetable peeler and some pot holders!) We all have a new love and appreciation for Maine and lake living and will definitely be visiting again! Morton and Furbish were super easy to deal with and kept us well informed with regular emails prior to our arrival. Thanks for sharing your beautiful lake with us!

Relaxing Week
This is our 2nd stay at Village Walk (first summer time) but we've been traveling to Rangeley for decades. We traveled with another family of 5 (10 total) and there was plenty of room for everyone! The home is very well equipped with everything we needed. The bedroom a/c units were perfect. Town was quiet amid the pandemic and social distancing/mask guidelines were well followed. We ate outside 3x at local restaurants. Took advantage of all the available outdoor activities; Appalachian trail, Quill Hill, Moose hunting (saw 1), paddle boarding, kayaking, geocaching and Small Falls. We also brought 2 jet skis that we conveniently kept at the private dock. Loved every minute and we can't wait to return!

The house is great and we so appreciate that things are continued to be updated. On nice addition would be a door at the top of the back stairs to close off the room on the right. We so appreciate all that everyone at Morton and Furbish do to make this a great rental and a great time.

July 11-18, 2020 ~ AWESOME HOUSE!
Our family has been renting with Morton and Furbish in Rangeley since 2008, and we have stayed at many different properties. This was our third stay at Village Walk, and this house is definitely one of our favorites. It's a great house for big families (fit 10 of us comfortably). There have been LOTS of updates (painting, furniture, air conditioning in the bedrooms etc.) over the years. Not only is the space in the house great, but the yard is as well. There is easy access to the water and a large dock. The front porch is lovely ~ a great space for sitting with a cup of coffee and a book in the morning, or a drink (or two) in the afternoon/evening. The house is close to town, so a rainy day walk won't take long. We'll be back!

Awesome!
What a beautiful retreat! The home was so warm, clean, and had all comforts of home! The kitchen was amazingly well stocked and cabinets throughout held all the bowls, appliances, dishes and utility tools to keep all the cooks in our gang happy!
Loved waking to stores and an easy snow shoe stroll on the lake was so fun!
Thank you Morton Furbish for being so easy to work with!
Hope to come back! Cheers!

We had an absolutely wonderful time here with seamless check in and check out experience. Village Walk property is the best place in Rangeley! It's on the lake but in town! We loved the house and yard, it has so much charm. We were there for a long weekend for my niece's wedding. It was perfect for our family and had everything we needed including lobster pots and seafood crackers. It was clean with nice linens and towels (very important to me) The yard is huge and well maintained with plenty of firewood. My adult children loved sitting by the fire. It was cold in October so we didn't use the boats that were available to us. The communication from Morton and Furbish is very good and they responded to any questions we had immediately. We would definitely stay there again!

We loved it! A very charming house with all the commodities anyone could expect! Not only does it offer a lakeshore, the property also has kayaks, a canoe and surf boards for stand up-paddling. So everyone can enjoy the lake just the way he likes. At Morton & Furbish everybody is very helpful and always friendly!

This is a beautiful property with spectacular views right on the lake and within easy walking distance to town. We had 11 family members in Rangeley for my son's wedding and we were all very comfortable in this spacious home. We especially enjoyed a couple of chilly evenings gathered around a warm fire in the fire pit. We were all from Florida and Virginia and had never been to Rangeley. Although it took a lot of travel to get there, the trip was well worth the effort. The town is picturesque with good restaurants and shopping. Several of us played golf at a pretty and fun golf course. The outdoor wedding venue was beautiful.

August 2017
We have been staying in "Village Walk" since 2001. Morton and Furbish are wonderful to do business with. We had two small problems this year which were remedied immediately. We clearly love Rangeley. Please understand that the house itself is a derelict, and should NEVER be rented by anyone else. ha ha

Once again , this is our 4 or 5th year staying at Village Walk and the experience is always the best. The house is kept is excellent condition for its age and is always neat and clean. We try to leave it the way we find it when leaving at the end of our stay. I have already booked for next year. Beth and company are the best people to deal with and I can not say enough about them. You will totally enjoy your stay. See you next year.
